The best action film of the 2020s I've seen so far great cinematography and good music. The fight scenes are over the top but still fun and has that eye candy quality I crave. I watched on Netflix so it was dubbed into Hindi and not the original Telugu language. Bravo!
It's sandwich day. Every Thursday I take Pudge the fish a peanut butter sandwich... And today we were out of peanut butter. So I asked my sister what to give him, and she said 'a tuna sandwich'. I can't give Pudge tuna! Do you know what tuna :asterisk_symbol:is:asterisk_symbol:? It's fish! If I give Pudge tuna, I'd be an abomination! I'm late because I had to go to the store and get peanut butter 'cause all we have is... is... stinkin' tuna!
Pudge controls the weather.
Fell asleep 15 minutes in back in 2011 due to school tiring me out, like I did with Captain America during that submarine scene, but now I am here to finish the fight! Shia screaming at the top of his lungs at guards is what everyone should see at least once. Probably the best acting he's done in a Transformers movie. Also, amazing Star Trek reference with the man himself saying it, the late great Leonard Nemoy! Definitely for fans of action and fun, not for the prestige lovers!
Happy Godzilla Day! This is the greatest film of all time. The metaphors and background of this film alone deserves a 10/10!
The 7th film in Peacock's curated by Jamie Lee Curtis/history of Slashers Halloween playlist. Great movie! The soundtrack itself is a 10/10 like some cod zombie type music and very very groovy and calming in a way.
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer! Just as good and enjoyable as the original! The jokes were always just as good especially the rock slide one. And omg Brian Posehn is in this? Talk about legend! Also the super human torch was so awesome and definitely would kick most villain's ass. Galactus will always be my favorite major avengers threat villian but I wish we got to see him not as a eldritch smog or got more of him. Guess the sequels that could've happened would maybe included him more? Maybe the third mcu saga will be about Galactus?
Amazing!! The human story is actually as good or better than the Godzilla parts! And finally the mainstream is appreciating a Godzilla movie for once!
Best unconventional promotion of a theme park ride!
The humans got worse, I don't necessarily mean just acting wise, they just became assholes, they killed Ratchet for crying out loud, "my sister got killed in Chicago, you'll get no sympathy from me." What the Fuck? Who cares! The whole planet coulda got wiped out or even as low as the city, but go off I guess. I hate humans who say that shit in any sci-fi or superhero-type shit. Like okay, fuck you since you rather everyone die than someone you knew or family; like I would be grateful that other people got to live and not fucking turn into slaves or just outright killed. Like I get having everything be roses and flowers and shit would be boring but like jeez, at least the last three movies had human characters, I mean human-like in that they aren't just stuck in their ways and stuff. But maybe people would act this way in real life. I do like the idea though, not gonna lie. But still makes me mad how they get treated.
Mark Wahlberg's and Jack Reynor's characters are the only sane ones, everyone else is a paranoid asshat. If anyone needs to get pissed on like in the first movie, it would be the CIA guys, like jeez. T.J. Miller is great, as always. And where is Sam in all of this? Like I get they or he himself might not have wanted to be in any more of these movies but still, just feels incomplete. Also, love Oreo-Bot, he's so cool! One of the Dinobots made the Godzilla sound and it was cool!
The first act is what every kid in the 80s imagined a Transformers movie was gonna look like. This movie hits everything; soundtrack, action, comedy, emotion. Definitely one of my favorite movies. This is big budget summer blockbusters done right!
This movie is funny, like modern day funny. The effects are similar to today's meme edits and shitposts. It's one of those stay in a haunted house/reading of will type movies, you think it wouldn't be that popular of a genre but it really is common, especially from the 20s to the 60s it seemed every 10th movie was one of these Old Dark House type movies. Also, it's kept my attention which isn't rare for a hour long movie, but it's rare for a silent film. Aren't the Hollywood girls of the 50s and earlier so gorgeous? I think so at least. :asterisk_symbol:in a gangster accent:asterisk_symbol: You know those dames were some beautiful broads!
One of my favorite franchises is getting a sequel this June, so I figure I would watch them all again. Don't you miss the old days when movies were full of action, bit of comedy, and didn't require a lot of thinking? When movies had 17 of the top 20 modern rock songs of that year. When Shia was a superstar? I know I do! Also Michael Bay is a way better director than Roland Emmerich by a longshot! At least when Bay made a movie about a beloved franchise he made it fun and not just completely changed everything like Roland did with Godzilla! Like Bay hasn't made a bad or even meh movie, at least from what I've seen so far. He's like a child in a man's body, which a lot of you might hate since you like movies that are like real life, boring and miserable.
Rainn Wilson! :blue_heart::blue_heart:
I wish I had seen that Tubi had this as well, Eminem is my favorite artists so to have started 2023 with him would've been better. The documentary is kinda meh though.
I had to add this to TMDB so it would be on here and Trakt.tv. It's super fast to do so remember to add any obscure stuff like documentaries and stuff. Also, I know this isn't a flashy first movie for 2023 but Ice Cube is one of my favorite rappers so I feel he deserves the honor. I also enjoy nostalgic documentaries from the mid 90s to the mid 2000s. Also, it features a lot of early 90s rappers so if there is anyone you recognize that I didn't add to the TMDB base, be sure to add it or at least leave a comment here.
Filled with plenty of crowd banter of the man himself. It's like a Wikipedia page of Cube but with music and images and videos added in. Not bad for a small-budget documentary in 2004. The weird selection 1/3rd the way through where it just plays songs while listing albums and songs and collabs he has done was kinda a weird choice.
It then goes into the ghostwriter accusations against Ice Cube by Kam, the supposed writer of Cube's raps. It also says that Cube sent members of Da Lench Mob to record buzzing artists small and big, live to use for their album's styles and raps. But my understanding is that Raw Footage from 2008 is the second-best Cube album personally, and it was way after Kam broke off from Cube's label and broke their friendship off.
The documentary then goes into Cube's movie career. I haven't watched any of his movies besides Anaconda so I can't give much input. But at the end when he interviews people about Ice Cube, I love when one of the girls says bye and turns around and he records her ass :rofl:. Also, the last one with the probable crackhead was funny.
A great action movie, but if the language was changed people could easily mistake this for an MCU movie. The effects are amazing and very colorful and exciting, definitely a spectacle akin to Avatar or Infinity War/Endgame!
I love the songs and the score, the guitar is amazing. I hope they release the score for this movie. Overall this is a great movie for an action movie kinda vibe, you'll love it if you like Marvel movies or action in general.
Harry's brother is so fucking annoying, I don't believe in violence but that kid is so annoying and rude and spoiled.
A Christmas Classic! Loved it!
If you don't give this movie at least a 8 or higher, I'm sorry that you don't enjoy life at all.
This is probably the closest to that classic Star Wars magic that the sequels got, original, fun creatures and planets, beautiful shots, colors, set pieces, and scenes. If the first movie was more like this in the original but familiar vibe of classic Star Wars, I feel that the sequels would've been more highly received. Also General Hux best general, at least in the sequels.
People be so mad that they introduced new force abilities like bruh, you rather have it never be changed or anything? A lot of expanded universe stuff and the games did the same but no one complains.
Also, the people in that theater who said "Where's Ben?" Is like going to heaven and asking where Mao is, the man was evil bruh, this ain't no Vader redeeming himself type of stuff. This ain't no family bonds or you could tell he cares about her type of thing like the original trilogy. He might've redeemed himself at the end but Death Vader you can tell he was never gonna kill his son or anything. It's also just a non-issue, it's like the littlest thing bruh. Like people really only wanted refunds because of that and her saying her name is Rey Skywalker like bruh you want her to say she's Rey Palpatine? Like if I was the granddaughter of like some terrible dictator and xenophobic person I would change my name too. It's all basically self-entitled man-children who want their own headcanons and politics in it.
The Ghost of Christmas Future is smoking a blunt bruh :sob:
Wowwwww! Someone get this man a movie deal! Better effects, production, music, and idea than most documentaries ever made!
I wonder what gave more people foot fetishes, this, Tangled, or any Quentin Tarantino movie?
Also why does the 2D animated/older Disney movies get way lower scores? This is way better than ratatouille, Inside Out, and The Incredibles. I get that it gave women bad beauty standards but so does every movie ever. No one says that about the women in Superhero movies or any streaming movie. Very strange.
The best film of 2022 I've seen! So sad and inspirational too. That quote about the bird :sob::sob::sob:.
Also Elvis missed out on seeing Godzilla, worst mistake of his life.
:blue_heart::blue_heart: Chadwick Boseman
:blue_heart::blue_heart::blue_heart: Wanda
:blue_heart::blue_heart: everyone else
Attack on titan meets gundam meets Godzilla! Very good but not the best but for a 3D anime movie it's top tier stuff. Great for fans of sci fi or post-apocalyptic movies, but Godzilla fans might miss some of the fun of it.
It didn't happen unless an American saw it. He really can't let a quiet moment happen without putting his dumb two cents in. He really said "it was short lived" not lived I mean the wrong pronunciation version like someone played a show lived kinda lived :joy::joy: bruh.
Another one for Godzilla Day 2022 and I'm not counting midnight as the end as I got up later last night so it's still Godzilla Day for me at least!
Best romcom. When her lesbian friends hated on her for being Bi that was crazy.
The opening title card said it all "you will see no resemblance to the men and women of the press of today." Ain't that fucking the truth! More so now than then. Reporters ain't shit now. I've seen this on my Top American Films of All-Time and Before 1976 lists on letterboxd for a while and now I saw it on Paramount+ so said why not? Hildy's pinstrip suit and hat are so awesome! Wonder what color it is?
The comedy is fast paced and rapid fire like you think of 1940s comedies of being. It's almost comforting like watching Dick van Dyke or something just relaxing and calming. But how is Hildy a girlboss while marring a insurance man? That's like if she married some Wall Street man or something it ain't any better than before. Anyway the movie pacing was amazing I wasn't bored at any point and it was funny throughout the run time. I can see why Quentin Tarantino put this in his top 11 list. Also the Mayor and the Sheriff are asshats. And all the actors did their thing in this wonderful picture.
A wildly innovative and entertaining horror film that smartly parodies the satanic panic moment. I'd like to think this is what those old farts thought was happening to kids when they listened to Marilyn Manson, KMFDM, Judas Priest, or Ozzy. The metal music in the movie was actually kick ass not gonna lie, even the innocent power ballad. Shout-out King Kobra for the music in the film. The score while not the best suited for this movie admittedly, it is still very good; I love the synth-style strings and stuff, reminds me of Castlevania music, SoulCalibur, or Advanced Wars a little. John Martin did a wonderful job as the teacher in this too!
"SHUT UP PRISCILLA!!" Yeah, tell that bitch off how dare she call the students inbreds! Very campy, plenty of boobs and plenty of blood and metal, so it's a 8/10 for me!
