The Dark Knight movies were so much better. The second Batman held up a thumb attached to a thumb drive and said “thumb drive” I was absolutely done with this movie. The score and cinematography are good and all, but that’s about all this film has going for it. The best thing in this film is knowing that the Riddler canonically records vertically on his phone. The acting was subpar at best.
I’d like to make a note that AndrewBloom left a detailed review on every episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. They’re really in-depth and one of my favorite parts about watching both of these was seeing his commentary because he put a lot of effort into every analysis. It made my viewing experience a lot better. So hats off to you buddy!
Thinking about how Brooke lost her virginity to a ghost has brought back my faith in good screenwriting. It’s one of those things that’s so bad, it’s good.
I think the best part of this episode for me was when Jake cried after seeing Harry at the end of the episode. Harry holding him and telling him he’s a good man was better (to me) than when Jake dances with Sadie.
You can tell this was a late 2000s cash grab film. The death scenes are wacky and all could be avoided by just enforcing safety standards. The CGI makes it obvious this was supposed to be seen in 3D at a theater. I think this would have been fun if I was drunk, not really something most people would enjoy while sober. It’s pretty bad
Bob is my favorite character. That’s it, that’s the comment.
Carl is such a better character now
I was really hoping Sammi would stay dead
Rock Lee is the absolute best, I adore him!!!
Can we just talk about how Steven’s dad legit bit through the hardest part of a watermelon multiple times in order to make him a crown?
Raymond and Kevin referring to Cheddar as a “fluffy boy” was exactly what I needed
When I saw this show I actively avoided it because the trailer weirded me out but I also added it to my watch list because the animation style intrigued me. Last night I watched it all in one sitting because I could sleep and something about the colors made me want to watch it. One of the things that’s really pushed and discussed by this show is listening and being mindful. For almost every episode Clancy listens to the person he’s interviewing but he’s also actively letting his mind wander to other things like his surroundings. A lot of people say that episode 8 is the best and it is a great episode; the dynamic between Duncan and his late mother brought me to tears because she talked to him rather than the character in the show. My personal favorite was episode 2, I loved that the deer-dog was a writer and I could relate how she felt like she was a magnet for people who have gone through loss in their life. If you want to watch this show, pick a night that you have nothing else to do and just relax with it on in the background.
The book made me cry and the movie only added a few cool details… that’s literally it
If this movie was just Cage kicking ass then it would have been perfect… but they had to throw in a bunch of pointless characters who talk too much.
The ending made me laugh so hard, I loved this
The melodrama is just ridiculous at this point.
I can’t with this. I keep thinking that it’ll get better if I just stick with it, but man do I just want to stop watching this season.
Pacing is better in this episode, but it still feels like they threw together a lot of slasher tropes without much thought or care. Not a good season so far, I hope it turns around.
This movie reminds me of a lot of moments I’ve had with my dad. We’ve watched this movie a lot together. (Of course skipping over about 5 minutes or so because it’s always awkward to watch love making scenes with your parents) I think the thing that makes this movie great for me isn’t really the movie itself but the quotable dialogue and how frequently it’s been used throughout my life. It’s a silly movie with a dumb premise based around sexist characters and there’s barely any character development, but I don’t think it’s suppose to be about how the characters grow and change. It’s just a movie about a guy who is a dog-loving, jazz flute playing, sexist anchorman.
I’m glad Kevin finally got screwed over
Ruby calling Sapphire “Laughy Sapphy” is so cute!!! I adore them
This episode truly highlights what’s so great about this show. Teaching a lesson like consent to a young audience is a great thing.
This has the best opening in the whole series :joy:
Just watched this with my dad for the first time ever, he hadn’t seen it since he was a kid. It’s definitely the 80s that’s for sure :joy:
Iroh is such a great character and this episode just highlights that. He is such a respectfully wise character.
Painfully the 90s, but worth a watch!
This movie has beautifully cinematography, a well-written plot, and wonderful characters. It really gets you to think about what it means to be human and what love is.
It’s a slow burn minimalist film that shows you into the life of someone stuck in their old ways and bad decisions. Caleb is a character who doesn’t have his life together and watching him slowly make change is rewarding by the end of the film.
It has heart :)
The first time I attempted to watch this, I couldn’t make it through the first episode. The second time, I got through two episodes while on my phone. I’m watching this show for a third time with my boyfriend which makes the experience 10 times better.
I recommend watching this with friends or loved ones, because having someone to discuss what you’d do in the same situations and how much you hate the blue filter makes this show so much better. Some people will love it, some people will hate it, and some people need to watch this with a friend.
Haven’t finished it yet, but I’m looking forward to more dumb decisions and laughing at characters for being stupid.
It is definitely a movie
