So there's an elixir that turns humans into ghouls in seconds? I'm sorry, but this feels more like The Elder Scrolls than Fallout.

@leonfeng FO4's Hancock turned into a Ghoul thanks to an experimental drug. It could very well be the same one Thaddeus used.
That was one of the stupidest endings. Makes no sense. How can she freeze to death in matter of hours? Also everyone knows it’s gonna get cold out so why would they leave her out there. If this supposed to be supernatural story, while not dig into that but 10 episodes and nothing. What a fucking waste of 10 hours of my life.

@whos_ur_buddha It is a psychological drama, not a show about supernatural things, you could have known this if you had done a quick google search.
The visuals, the sets, and the costumes are all so beautiful. Can't wait to watch this film again once it comes out in theatres.

@amberrav I just watched it and I LOVED it.
@amberrav exactly. the show i has always been sexist and misogynistic but i thought it might be freshman season growing pains. turns out, it’s a feature and not a bug; they’re leaning into it and things are just getting more and more depraved, muddled and with uninspired dull writing to boot. not worth it at all. this will be my final episode as well.

VIPEP4WELL..WHAT
JEEZ IT NEARLY LOST ME THIS EPISODE, I WAS SO READY TO BOW OUT.
IT WAS A LITTLE BIT TO DIVERSE FOR MY LIKING AND EVERYONE IS SO DAMN CLEAN FOR THIS KIND OF SETTING.
I HAD TO GRIND MY WAY THROUGH THIS FIRST EPISODE IT WAS SO PAINFULLY SLOW AND THE DIALOGUE WAS KILLING ME AND THE CHEAP XENA AND HERCULES VIBE I WAS GETTING. I JUST FELT I WAS THE WRONG GENDER AND THE WRONG AGE AND I THOUGHT I JUST WASN'T WOKE ENOUGH.
JUST AS I WAS ABOUT TO SEE MYSELF OUT OF THIS SERIES THE PACING WENT FROM
0 to a 100
I DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT WAS GOING ON ESPECIALLY WITH THAT CHUFFING SHAKING CAMRA CRAP GOING ON MISSING THE BEST PARTS BUT I DID ENJOY WHAT BITS I COULD WORK OUT.
IT AIN'T NO GAME OF THRONES
ARE THE WITCHER
AND IT CERTAINLY IS NOT LOTR BUT FROM THAT LAST 20 mins I WILL SEE WHAT THIS SECOND EPISODE IS LIKE AND SEE IF IT CAN TRICK ME TO STAYING FOR THE 3rd
6/10
it was a 5/10 till that last 20mins kicked off.loading replies

Did they have no budget for a set decorator or why does every office and apartment look like it was robbed?

@maqqi____ it meant to look like that , it's the style of this story ( the monochromatic colors , the empty decor , still camera or very slow movement , no music only the ambient sound ) the character are detached from their surroundings , it's all designed to keep distance from each others .
Kind of a mixed bag, I wanted to like this more.
I love how non judgemental it is, they could’ve easily taken the route to criticize the system and make a point about how these people need financial support from the state (like Sorry to Bother You, for example).
Instead, it presents a balanced perspective of both the struggles and charm of this lifestyle.
Also, the characters are interesting, the acting is great and it’s shot extremely well.
However, I find it quite baffling how nobody seems to want to point out the obvious flaw of this film: it lacks drama and .... well, a story.
There is no progression to the characters or the events in this film.
In other words, you could rearrange a lot of bits and it wouldn’t make a single difference.
As a result, the pacing kinda drags, and I started to check out halfway through.
This probably should’ve been a documentary instead.5/10

@wisewtf great, but then I’d rather watch paint dry.
If Annie is struggling for money, how does she have money to go see all these therapist? And someone who is trying to make ends meet, therapist would be the last person on their mind. Terrible writing.

@whos_ur_buddha her ex husband is paying for it they mention it quite often
These are just my thoughts and I'm not an expert whatsoever
Pros: actors and actresses, photography, scenery, colours.
+ Benedict and Eloise are lovely and their stories are the most interesting at the moment, either because I'm curious about how they'll tell certain situations or because I have no idea where they'll go. (I didn't read the books)
+ In general I liked the characters, I don't likelike all of them, but I like how they're built. They're not the reason I didn't appreciate the show.
+ Sibling's scenes:
Eloise and Benedict smoking, Daphne Anthony and the warm milk, Colin in general, Eloise and sweets...CONS:
1) Plot: I found it full of clichés, ridiculously predictable and absurd at the same time. If you look to a list of romantic/drama clichés and then you put them in line you have the plot of the series. It's also true that sometimes very predictable plot are very enjoyable because the narration of the facts is compelling. For me, this is not the case. I found episode 4 absurdly ridiculous.
Instead, despite the fact I got it since Ep 5-6, I liked the revelation at the end of the season. Again, I'm not an expert. This is just what I've liked and what I didn't.
2) Absence of disclaimer or tw at the beginning of episode 6
3) Absence of Simon's point of view regarding what happens in episode 6
4) Costumes: I didn't like the costumes at all, they looked modern, but I'm not an expert so instead I advise to watch Karolina Żebrowska's video regarding that department.loading replies
English is not my first language, so I'm sorry if I didn't explained myself and if I make some language mistakes, feel free to correct me
@tantetells When I talked about Simon point of view, I was referring to the fact she forced him to finish inside her and then that was brushed off as if forcing him and lying to her were two facts on the same level of gravity. I don't think it would have been brushed off if Simon finished inside her, while she clearly didn't want to, and I don't like this double standards.
I hope I explained myself, have a good day
