It's pretty rare to find a decades old romance movie where the male lead isn't a total asshole.
Rape is not entertainment. Disgusting.
Mera spin-off when? I need it.
That spoken word animation was amazing.
When Moonbyul cries, I cry.
An odd movie with a lot of unnecessary elements (hehe) that distract from the story, but overall entertaining.
It feels like Katherine was written as a male character and when they decided to cast a woman they only rewrote the jokes. She is not sympathetic at all and I have no idea why Molly going back to work for her is supposed to be a good ending. Overall the movie has a few funny moments but most of the time it feels very shallow with stereotypical characters that have no likeable traits.
Every time I watch this movie I'm in awe of how beautiful it is, and every time I wonder how it's possible that it wasn't nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, but then I remember that the Oscars are complete bullshit.
I'm loving the aesthetic of Nicola Six, but everything else in this film is so bad that I'm curious how different the director's cut is. I must say though, that Jim Sturgess really did a good job of portraying an absolutely disgusting character. 6/10
Having now watched the director's cut it's a shame this is not the one available on VOD/disc because this version makes a lot more sense. The plot is more detailed, the characters (especially Nicola) are more fleshed out, and it actually feels like the plot takes place during an apocalypse, it actually feels like a mystery film, instead of the incohesive clichéd mess that was the producer's cut. It's actually a good movie. 8/10
I like the story that's being told, and I love a film with a majority female cast, but the result is not for me. After struggling to get through the first chapters, the last two are a lot more enjoyable.
This is the straightest movie I have ever seen.
When I heard that they were making movies about this event, I was sceptical of movie makers profiting off of the survivors. But if you're going to make a movie, this is the way to do it. Focus on the survivors, not the terrorist and why he did what he did.
Amber in bisexual lighting:heart_eyes:
Estranged husband and father finds out he has a heart after all... Zzz...
So bad it's almost good.
The movie has it's moments and the dialogue is great at times, but the editing feels like a rushed job and the dubbed over dialogue in almost every scene is too noticeable.
Gorgeous scenery, but that's about it.
Generic movie made even worse by a soundtrack that drowns out the characters and feels totally misplaced during scenes, and whatever they did to Sela Ward's face in editing.
Thank you Zack Snyder for all the Mera scenes:pray:
They made Diana a rapist. Great. What a hero.
