As a BB fan am I glad this movie got made? I guess so.
I’m not entirely sure we needed to know this part of the story though.
Some things are better never explained.
Really amazing work from Franco. Much more sincere and moving than I expected it to be, but also hilarious!
I get why the critics gave it the positive reviews they did; the cinematography was outstanding and the direction and performances were all very good. I enjoyed it a great deal for those reasons. However, I also get why much of the viewing audience was less positive about it (like the two friends I went with.) It is most definitely a slow burn, psychological horror film that lacks the in-your-face shock and/or gore moments common in the majority of contemporary horror films. It's also bound to leave you with more questions than answers (as one friend complained, "There's not enough info!") If you want to see an extremely well made film and aren't put off by films with a slower pace that demand a bit of imagination, I highly recommend it. Seriously, some of the camera work is breathtaking.
Oh hi trakt
Eddie Murphy is his name, and Eddie Murphy has upped his game. If you wanna see something cool and groovy, switch over to Netflix for this superior movie. And it's not only Murphy's comeback that deserves the hypes, because this film also rejuvenates Wesley Snipes!
Highly recommended!
One of the better zombie movies made... Schwarzenegger shows great range. I'm a fan of his and im a dad so it was easy to get sucked in. This is not an "unlimited bullets and everybodys a marksmen" kinda zombie movie lol this one is for adults and it's great
Enjoyable enough although predictable and annoyingly cliché at times. Not a fan of the looking into the camera shtick. The enigmas were Dora the Explorer level (pity), which makes me think this was made for children more than for adults.
Liked the dynamic between Enola and Lord Tewkesbury (plus well acted roles). No comment on the phenomenal cast, love 'em all.
Would watch a sequel.
Fantastic film, but I'm noticing a trend with Nolan's movies where you can't hear a word anyone is saying. This movie has very little dialog but so much of it is almost unintelligible. Characters are shouting lines in thick accents with loud background audio.
I also feel like the plot got muddled at some points - What's happening in this scene? Who got shot down? What side are they? Who is this person? Was it the same person as before? I don't know, almost all of the British soldiers look alike. I went with many friends who also said they had these two issues.
That being said: the cinematography is stunning. There's some truly tense scenes in this film. It's well written, the multiple storylines fit together well and it seems pretty historically accurate, as much as it can be at least. The non-dialogue audio is absolutely spot-on, you must watch this in a theater with great surround sound. Interesting choices were made regarding the constant background of music/sound and I think it works incredibly well to set the mood of each scene. Overall it's a solid film but not my favorite.
A good movie ruined by lame pop culture references and political agendas.
Ford v Ferrari is an expensive, finely tuned machine that races out of the starting block and kicks into high gear until the finish.
Matt Damon is in peak form and Christian Bale keeps up the pace in this fascinating tale of the 1966 Le Mans race. Trust me, the +2-hour run time flies by so fast you won't see it pass.
Yes, I could've done without the grease monkey poetry, but any film that can stoke my interest in car racing of all things has got to be well put together.
(And, as always, go in as blind as you can and see it on the biggest screen possible.)
Adam Sandler is phenomenal here. Seeing Howard failing over and over was unbearable... That last sequence got me speechless.
This movie stressed me the fuck out.
An incredible technical achievement. Roger Deakins's cinematography elevates this decent war story to something that is one of a kind. There is hardly anytime to catch your breath. The score is fantastic. I need to see the making of documentary.
Seeing this again it is still very impressive. The story is fine but the way we are always with Schofield and Blake with almost no relief makes this super tense. The score really is great.
Wow, what a blast. This is the kind of biopic i like. Showing all sides and - by most of the time - not judgeing, just showing. Well, maybe there is judging, but not too much.
Michael Keaton plays the Kroc just right.
9/10
What i don't understand: Why does Reviewers judge this movie by the reallife story and not by the movie itself? Of course Kroc did horrible, capitalistic decisions, but you have to say if the movie does it capture right.
I'm not sure if I'm in the minority or not but I think the first one is slightly better. This is still a masterpiece and probably the best sequel ever. I cared a lot more about Vito's story than Michael's.
Ari Aster is the master of horror. Not only does he know how to make a bright spring day feel haunted and creepy, he's an expert at bending space and time for his transitions. It will be a while before something catches me off guard like this movie did.
Total classic! An emotional rollercoaster (intrigued by Jack Nicholson, angry at the nurse, excited about the escape, laughing at the boat trip, sad about some patients, amazed by the Chief etc etc) that very few movies can match. Great acting, great story, great filming, great setting, great everything; it just all comes together in this film. Everyone should see this at least once! At least!
Glad there are still great story's in this world that make you believe not everything is utter shit and that there can be hope.
A genuinely feel good movie. I didn't know the story and surprised that it was a true one, really inspiring and loved the cat.
It's great to see the franchise finally hitting theaters. The cinematography and score are great! And the plot twist is quite good! I hope that there will be more pokémon movies in the near future :)
It's like they killed the book, buried it in jump scares, and this is what came back. Sometimes read is better.
It was extremely beautiful. The acting and scene were just breath-taking. The story, though, not so much. Unfortunately predictable from the first moment, it was rather disappointing. Very artistic experience, though!
Don't go into this expecting a ghost story with lots of jump scares, because that's not what you get with this film. Even though there are some creepy scenes, it's more of a gothic romance story. I quite enjoyed it and if you're a fan of Del Torro im sure you'll enjoy it to :)
This movie completely missed the point on what made the first one so great...
This is how DC's Movies should have been made. It's action sequences are insanely awesome. Amber Heard is drop dead gorgeous like a goddess in this movie. Jason Momoa is born to play Aquaman. Perfect castings. Don't miss this amazing movie guys.
I really enjoyed this movie but the soundtrack was so awful it dragged it down for me.
Altogether a very apt fairy tale about the benefits of being kept in the dark vs. the power of knowledge.
This was pretty good! I liked the story a lot and it was funnier than I expected. Very cute.
