Every time they switch between universes/Jasons they play the sound effect from Nintendo Switch commercials.
Watched this for the three Satoshi Kon episodes and it really isn’t for me.
As someone who has read the book and knows exactly what’s happening already, this was really slow episode and reliant on the mystery and reveals.

Great music. Season starts fun and interesting but lost me a bit in the middle and then wasn’t able to pull me back in the finale.

Not bad but only really watching because of how highly thought of future seasons are.
Never got as good as the trailer.
Lost me in the middle but I powered through and started to get more invested even though it loses almost all of its interesting new retrofuture after a while.
Disappointing last episode presumably trying to set up a second season that I can’t imagine will actually happen.
Mostly just been enjoying these episodes for the art/animation but this episode's story actually had me totally invested and noiw I'm disappointed there's not a full series just following this plot.

Amazing to look at, just like all of their stuff. And enjoyed the story and its creepy undertones as well.
The last few episodes after the big reveal are pretty bad. Rough way for a fun show to go out.
Consistently creative and baffling in so many great ways. Not a huge fan of the just normal old shitty human storyline instead of more fun bizarre living planet that makes babies in you storylines but didn’t take too much from the season as a whole.
Starting to think this planet might be kinda effed up.
Didn’t quite stick the landing after the great Kahorri and the 1602 episodes.

Loved this. Not the fastest pace show but loved every episode and binged all 10 episodes in 3 days. Even stayed up late two nights which is super rare for me these days. Enjoyed the world building, character development, and the story reveals as well. Looking forward to Season 2 and also added Foundation and a bunch of other Asimov to my Goodreads backlog as well.
