nestor carbonell directed this episode! it was really well acted for a procedural tbh
went in with no expectations besides "i love garrett hedlund," wasn't disappointed. acted well but definitely formulaic.
the acting is good and the dinos are fun but without worldbuilding it's a disappointment. just watch/play the last of us for the same dynamic between the two protagonists but Better
i like the commitment to maroun's character. she's terrifying when it comes to her personal set of morals.
not perfect but all the characters are very entertaining and tbh i've seen enough movies lately where the characters were boring as shit to be happy for it
weird how this show keeps making me cry
as someone who's ace i very much relate to 1) just wanting to eat ice cream while everyone else is fucking and 2) pandas that needed ten years to finally fuck for the good of their species
kind of meh overall but tbh i'm losing it over that ending
i really liked this season. it reminded me of the intensity of the first season, and bill pullman played a very complex character perfectly. alice kremelberg is fucking fantastic. also everyone cries really convincingly in this season.
tbh it's one of the stronger series in its genre so i'm surprised it got canceled. maybe it's because it's SO FUCKING DEPRESSING
the acting in this episode is top tier tbh
this season had some great twists. i really do love what they've done with the book's original content. will i ever recover from the love quinn slander though?? questionable
i haven't even finished the episode yet but god victoria pedretti is SO FUCKING GOOD in her sequence
i can see why this got people's heart rates to spike the highest - its jump scares are great. i wouldn't say it's the best movie ever and it didn't really bring anything new the table, but it was spooky and i did jump a couple times.
honestly a great sequel. like searching, it has some great twists worth watching for.
well acted but god such garbage. just rewatch hereditary.
decent acting and a quick binge if you're bored, but after suffering through all of pretty little liars i'm a little exhausted by the scary faceless tormentor trope.
those absolutely hysterical twists at the end could've saved the movie if there was any decent acting in it aside from eric roberts going "that was rude" in one scene.
it's well acted but i have to say, no one in the movie is likable. except the cat, toby. i love voids.
maybe it's just because i take care of someone with alzheimers but bradley whitford made me cry and i'm upset about it
this came across pretty early on to me as a lightly parodying homage to vintage crime thrillers which made it a lot more entertaining. i think if i tried taking it seriously at any point i would've been disappointed
good acting and solid effects made this a solid movie. there's a mid-credits scene!
this man got hurt enough as will graham LET HIM LIVE
grotesque in a fun way. i agree that it was stronger in the first half of the film though.
mia goth does unhinged so well
enjoyable but i'm so tired of shows doing cliffhangers before there's a guaranteed next season. or at all. i hate cliffhangers period.
cliffhangers are my least favorite storytelling tool which probably makes me a bad writer but GOD they're annoying
every episode of this damages me emotionally more than the last
i don't understand how alison williams was so good in get out and so bad in EVERYTHING ELSE SHE DOES. maybe it was just the role in get out. or jordan peele's direction. either way this makes me want to side with the robots in our future robot apocalypse
heads up for anyone who's sensitive to this stuff (i know it's svu but still, im sure someone out there will be affected) there's a fairly obvious rape occurring in the opening scene. like it's a lot less obscured than most of the sexual assault scenes shown in this series.
drama with a sci-fi setting, really. the actors did a good job, i got emotional more than once thanks to the female leads. not great, but not nearly as bad as some comments imply.
