The Morning Show: 1x08 Lonely at the Top

Did we really need the warning at the beginning about the graphic nature...etc. This showed workplace minorly predatory behavior. She never said no, didn't really show him she was disapproving. Yes he was in a place of influence. Yes he barely acknowledged her back in the studio. He is a jerk. But did I need to be warned?

How can so little happen in 2 hours? Just watch this movie to find out. There is a flashback at the 12 minute mark...not a life flashback from years ago, but one from earlier in the movie. By the way, you've seen this movie before, it was called Presumed Innocent. Sure it's been changed a bit but...I will have to say Giovanni Ribisi has come a long way from his days as Pheobe's brother on Friends I thought he did a great job here and it was nice to finally see Bruce Willis not playing some washed up cop/fed/military dude.

Wow. That is a lot of Cuban jokes. Enough that I will not be watching any more episodes.

The Equalizer: 4x03 Blind Justice

That was a brilliant strategy to hack into the electricity for just that room they were in during the end scene. How would that even happen. They were trying to give the blind man the advantage like earlier in the subway but it seems we forgot about the blazing furnace that was lighting up the whole room.

NCIS: 21x02 The Stories We Leave Behind

A fitting episode as a farewell to Ducky. Not overly unnecessarily sappy but had the right amount of nostalgia and flashbacks. Nice touch either way with Tony showing up for the funeral but a little surprised that more cast from the past didn’t show.

VIN numbers is said a dozen times in this episode I think. Does anyone ever stop and think what they are saying. VIN means Vehicle Identification Number. So VIN number means Vehicle Identification Number Number.

Sorry. It annoys me. And the FBI boss should take Whistler off being NCIS liaison. This is the clearest conflict of interest ever.

Kind of classless. Or was it. I don’t know. But all of this I can’t put up a person of color, not a LBGQT+ is going to mess with this game. What’s next? Left-handed? Gingers?

Seriously they had to do it.

Big Brother: 24x25 Episode 25

Kyle is not a villain. After last years domination and brilliant strategy of The Cookout, how was it wrong to be on the defensive about the possibility of a race based alliance being formed. SINCE IT ALREADY HAPPENED. You know who are the a holes? Michael and Brittany for weaponizing racism. That is what they did. Two weeks later and bring it up for strategic purposes. I love that Terrence sniffed that crap out. I was worried where this episode was going to go but I think what had to happen happened. Alyssa dumping Kyle — I guess she felt it was necessary. The audience response to Kyle leaving the house was sublime.

Not quite what I was expecting. The backdrop of World War I to do some The Matrix/Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon stunts was some serious juxtaposition. There was history but this was a lot of fluffed up action, which wasn't always done really well. Some of the scenes involving the goat laden mountain top area just didn't work, specifically the parachute jump. Absolutely ridiculous. The special effects used a little bit after that where characters were being suspended off the side of the mountain looked terrible on the big screen of the movie theatre. We are talking Darth Maul falling to his cut in half death in The Phantom Menace.

Last big problem was making Woodrow Wilson into a Great War era Bill Clinton getting caught in sexual misadventures in the White House. COME ON!

The easter egg in the closing credits with a smirking Adolph Hitler makes you think there is more of these to come. I hope they improve on them a little bit.

After 8 years in the US Navy on submarines I knew I was going to have problems with the movie on a technical level. The sixty degree down angle ordered is ridiculously ridiculous. Remember when they ordered a 30 degree down when they were diving the first time and everyone stood at an angle without falling over? Why weren’t things crazy at 60 down bubble?

Anyway my major need is this: Why is an English actor(Oldman) playing the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and a Scotsman(Butler) playing a CO of a submarine? Were all the American actors busy?

All complaining aside this was still really entertaining.

I saw this movie. It was called The Avengers. It had an all powerful cube. And alien invaders. From the past. OMG. I used to love DC when I was a kid. What happened? At least they could have changed the shape of the sinister device. Another cube?

Inside Man

Not sure why everyone is getting giddy over this flick. Sure it was cool that they break into a bank and get away with it using fake guns and a fake execution. To me the movie never answers the Why to a level I need. Sure the mean banker fella acquired some wealth in disgusting fashion during World War 2. But this Rabbi I am assuming funded the mission to reposses these items is any better off as man of God for doing the right thing to break into the bank and put these innocent people through this? Does he have a personal vendetta against the bank owner? Jodie Foster WHY? She is unbelievably talented but her character here just seems so out of place. I'm not sure what a "power broker" is but I sure don't picture it as someone who can walk up to every corporate official in the city of New York and call in a favor or seven. Very confused by her portrayal of the character or most likely the director's reason for doing this. And what is in the envelope? Why does everyone rate this so high

The idea for this movie made me think it had so much potential. I thought they could do so much with it. Well, I was wrong. Horribly wrong. The major flaw with this movie is the story. There isn't one. Characer development also was very much lacking. Who was Peter Falk's character and why did we care about him? The movie never even gives a hint as to why the bad guys want to blow up a US city. Interesting that they were speaking French yet we don't have a clue why they hate America. Jessica Biel makes Cage sleep in the jeep overnight but in the morning they are all over each other. Their love sure emerged from the creepy stage to heat awful quick. I thought Julianne Moore's performance for a multi-Academy Ward nominee was pathetic.

How to Lose Friends & Alienate People

The screenplay for this movie is an obviously over-sensationalized version of the memoirs it is based on. To that end, the movie is slow starting with Sidney Young being introduced as a self-thought cutting edge, non-mainstream journalist. He comes off as a kind of bumbling idiot, though on a much smaller scale as say Steve Martin's Clouseau. There is much physical comedy with kicks to the shins and falls and a transvestite bit. Sidney is given about 25 strikes by the owner of the most popular magazine in America for some unknown reason. Then the movie takes a 5 minute let's get an Academy Award nomination break when Sydney's father shows up and lays it on pretty thick and heavy. Then back to the shenanigans. I just didn't think this flowed very well and Jeff Bridges smokes cigarettes in the most ridiculous manner. One note of interest is the soundtrack. Very well done with a beautiful version of "Spooky" by Dusty Springfield.
