Doctor Who: 11x06 Demons of the Punjab

an attempt to whiteness history by blaming Hindu for violence. revisionists. deeply offense. inaccurate. played down British role in driving the wedge as last revenge tactic for losing the crown prize of the empire, India. 1 star because can't give - infinity. am off dr. who. gave it a fair try this series but it's too political and not much entertainment. with latest episode its turned into pure white rascist propoganda tool to let British empire off the hook for their unpunished crimes and genocide.

@tvaddict101 Don't be a dingus. This episode was very careful not to blame anyone, even the British! Anything you see in the episode is just your own biases.

The Americans: 6x05 The Great Patriotic War

Tremendous episode, one of series' best. But it has me a bit terrified of what is in store for the final stretch of the season. The three Jennings seem to be in their own downward spirals (Elizabeth's is increasingly horrifying, Philip's hard-to-watch, Paige's forboding) and growing apart while they're at it.

they exhaustively developed Nina's plot just to end it in a simple way? I'm little lost here.

I think that was sort of the point... despite all she did, she got screwed by the system and who she thought were her friends. In the 'spy' business, you can't expect a happy ending. Especially in the USSR...

Game of Thrones: 5x09 The Dance of Dragons

It's clear that the writers value shocks and twists over characters with consistent motivations.

Edit: I'll remember Stannis as he was.

Yeah, I can clearly see the "do anything necessary" theme that they've shown with the character in the show. I just wish that his book theme - duty above all else - would have made an appearance. His duty to his daughter and only living heir is more important to what I personally thought his character valued.

I know that Azor Ahai had to make sacrifices in the prophecy and Stannis himself has said that true sacrifices have to hurt, or else they're not true. This just seems spiteful and cruel, something Stannis is not. He's dry, dull, stern and consistent to a fault. For a man who wanted to earn the throne rather than just take it, the cruel death of his innocent daughter is not an act 'for the good of The Realm' and can never be perceived as such, unlike other controversial decisions (Renly, dick leeches, going to the Wall, burning the false idols).
