Very nice seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan here.
why the fuck did i (someone with insane amount of anxiety) think it was okay to go see this movie LOL i’m so braindead
This movie is dumb.
Something else needs to be pointed out as well. They never show her getting off the dam tower. Lame ending.
Why didn't she just stuff the phone in the bird
how good of an actor is Aaron Paul?
He can play Josh Hartnett, playing Aaron Paul.
The language with which both men talked about their families as possessions really stuck out to me. It's what led to one being unable to grieve his dead family and the other being unable to connect to his living family. The ending showed how viewing women as mere set dressing for men's lives ultimately leads to tragedy for not just the disposable women but for the men living in misery and loneliness.
a geniune bad movie. funny but meh. Jennifer Lawrence is too good to be doing these kinda movies.
4/10 poor
Leaves you feeling some what uncomfortable, that feeling you get when watching a sex scene with your parents in the room….
To be honest I found it to be rather tasteless and crude, once we got to the full frontal nude scene, which was totally uncalled for, I stopped watching….
I’m not a proud, but there’s no need for nudity or even lengthy bedroom scenes, suggesting these thing works far better….
Acting and directing are all top form but thanks to characters that are sometimes inconsistent, this doesn't pack the punch it should have.
Some very stilted script work and some Hallmark Film production values doesn't stop this comfy, coming-of-retirement-age comedy from being a fun ride from start to finish. Some easy viewing with an intriguing premise that begs to be Google'd on conclusion.
Decent, give it a try.
Despite being a very long movie Avatar: The Way of the Water at times is a superior sequel. That is more beautiful to look at “especially in IMAX 3D.” With some better action and adventure.
The movie might even manage to make the Avatar haters fans. Even if James Cameron doesn’t have something so good on his hands. That he can drag it out to seven movies.
Best 2000s nicktoons ever they just don’t make them like they used to :slight_frown:
Titanium > Any other lullabies out there
Incredibly beautiful.
I feel like this is what by Sofia Coppola's "Somewhere" aspired to be.
I love the type of slowness depicted: not done out of virtuosism for its own sake, but leaning in on the small, apparently insignificant moments like smoking in a balcony or washing hands - it was done beautifully, in a very personal way that allows you to stay with the character for that second longer that allows you to really see him/her and what they're feeling. Or having that moment for you to fully experience your emotions as well.
So often a character is created through a sum of events and actions and words said, cut after cut - whilst you can learn so much from the silences! Such underrated empathic tool.
As much so as the camera focusing on the character itself (or some body parts: I loved Celine Sciamma's glance on hands in "Portrait of a Lady on fire" for example) as they're performing an action - focused, reading through them the emotions they're feeling rather than by showing the action itself. The bike videogame and the interview were brilliant instances.
The part I was astounded by, tho, was the mastery in showing how important a bond can be in making you pull out a better version of yourself you didn't even expect to be there: when Sophie says "happy birthday" on the bus, it's such a simple act and yet the pinnacle of many small ones that remind Calum of what's really life for.
As a personal note: never underestimate how you can affect loved ones, with a caring word of gesture or by simply being there
Such a movie needs a proper walk home after the cinema to let you thoroughly grasp the feelings it conveyed
Even my wife who LOVES horror movies laughed at how bad this one was lol
I get that the guy's life was supposed to be boring but that didn't mean the movie needed to be.
Plus, there's several scenes that just don't seem to end where you end up yelling "I get the point already!"
This is a movie I watch every year on my birthday.
:heart:x7
If you are looking for something fun, cute, heartfelt, and sweet to watch. Then this is for you.
The first 15 minutes or so, are quite sad as it shows Sam's lifelong string of bad luck and yet somehow she manages to keep her spirits high.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
starring Sebastian Stan as Armie Hammer
[Netflix] High school thriller that aims to offer a more adult look, focusing on two teachers who, in the present and in the past, are involved in a mystery story. The development is unconvincing, it moves between wanting to be a mature proposal, but at the same time addressing some youth problem. It tries to interest everyone and ends up being inconsistent in the main story.
Jesus, Dwight!
Some times I don't get that guy lol
Actually really enjoyed this film in the end, especially liked the message at the end about having friendships and relationships and not sabotaging one for the other. All relationships whether platonic or not, are a form of love <3
I actually enjoyed this movie so much more than I thought I would? It wasn't quite what I expected, and it didn't focus on what I thought it did, but more on Naomi's feelings and her life and how she needed to deal with it! 7/10 for Good!
damn shame this was canceled... it was a breath of fresh air from the same old some old...
Man, after what must be one and a half decades, I decided to watch this film again. I'm twenty-one. The memories it brought back were amazing. In every scene I thought to myself "I remember this!". I must have watched it hundreds of times when I was a young boy, and it was my favourite movie by far. As an adult, I now have an even deeper appreciation for this movie, its message, and the bonds that are in it. I will forever hold this movie close to my heart, a thing I can say about very few things, let alone movies.
