From a somewhat interesting start this show really turned into a shitshow with absolutely ludicrous story, total absence of actual science and populated with drama queens, selfish morons and pacifists.
And the probe? Humanity's survival is at stake and they create something that breaks apart from shoddy manufacturing?
Did they get some DEI hire from Boeing to put it together?
Great, we really needed Nina to become an indoctrinated girl of the party and lose that delightful friendship element... /s.
And Alexander to leave that thin line he so elegantly had walked till now, juggling his old status to a seemingly sincere understanding of his new role, without letting his pride and desire of grandeur get in the way. The whole dinner thing felt a bit out of character. I would have judged the episode worse if it hadn't been for the development in his relationship with Anna, as her own singular growth getting disillusioned by the fame and success. "Humbled", as they rightly toasted
Well, little dip compared to the first 2 eps, but didn't lose its path so looking forward to next week
I don't know if it's the actress, the character, or both, but "Auggy" is the most obnoxious and irritating character I've seen in quite a while. Tiresome af, tarnishes any scene she's in.
Ok so this episode turned the show 180 degrees. I feel no sorry or empathy for the guy, he is mentally ill and sexually depraved. And to know that HE is the actual real man it make this show very very sick.
The narration is way to much after the first episode.
I wasn't sure if this was going to be an action show or more character driven and this episode very clearly went with "we don't care if it makes sense if it looks cool". Not a bad choice but weird to do six episodes in!
I'm sorry, but WTF was that? An multi-billion dollar idea to shoot a brain at 0.1% of lightspeed while the enemy fleet goes the opposite direction for milliseconds to pickup that brain and reanimate it to have a guy on the "INSIDE?" What kind of looney bin idea is that.
That stupid bitch harping about how evil the man trying to save humanity and refuses to do her part should be shot. This show is just a bloody soap opera now.
"Oh no, 1000 traitors died because of my technology."
What a shitshow.
I like this show, but after 6 episodes I must come to the conclusion that I really dislike Eiza González acting and her character Auggie. Compared to the rest of the cast her performance just feels off and falls short. She looks like she's duck facing half of the time and is more concerned with looking beautiful then delivering a believable en convincing performance. Saamer Usmani's acting is a bit better, but also very flat and artificial in my opinion.
That crazy B should be executed in public for betraying humanity.
Such BS the whole ok please save us from destroying the planet and ourselves. we are incapable to survive so yes come and kill us all.
From being somewhat intelligent this turned into a shitshow of stupidity. Like that completely idiot old fart or the botched attack by supposed trained special forces. And that Chinese bitch should be hanged for treason against the entire human race.
So the super duper smart aliens thought Hansel & Gretel was real when he was reading it before?
Out of nowhere they destroy the demons, that just before were able to fully control.
On top, I still believe they killed so many people that they are gonna go to jail for sure.
This ending is nice visually but the rest is truly disappointing
And what about Betty?
The visuals and story are amazing, but it sure got messy at the end there.
I think they were just trying to juggle too many tropes to make any real sense: ghosts, religion, racism, mental illness, loss, school bullying, ... seriously, there's only so much you can tackle in the same show.
Not bad but sometimes when stuff happens, like the ending with the dogs grave make zero sense ........
Someone just put him in a mentally hospital cell and throw away the key
oh my god dude you arw PISSING ME OFF like i get it babes BUT GET SOME FUCKING HELP
He's got some serious issues too.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Wasn't sure what to expect, something of a comedy maybe. The title sequence was already a joy to watch and the whole atmosphere including the music and the characters are beautiful. Very interested to see where this is going! And well, who doesn't love Ewan McGregor?
It’s all a bit random isn’t it? I guess the unpredictability is part of the concept in a regime such as this. But still I can’t help but feel that it’s a bit silly and dragging on without moving the story forward. Some parts, like Ed, had a promising feel, but that seems to have ended prematurely. Hopefully there’s a way back with that storyline, else this episode was quite pointless.
Bit overly dramatic
None of the ushers seem to be any good people. But really. Tammy’s sure being punished a bit harshly for, what, making her husband “eat ass”? Secretly hating him? Only seeing him as an object? Oh, honey… if that were a crime punishable by a thousand glass shards, we would suddenly have a lot less humans on this planet.
So this seemed a bit out of proportion.
Next up is Froderick I suppose. We have by now realised he’s a bit more than just a little obsessive, and has rather little love for his wife left. Despicable, for sure. Let’s see what our lady from Thule has to say about that.
Also, still that wall. Still guessing it’s either his first wife, or the ex boss.
This legitimately looks very promising. They seem to be placing a particular kind of emphasis on the different years this time, which is a big win.
sorry. but this season is so boring.. every episode I hope it will be good but it never is as season one.
the big difference? the only difference? Matthew McConaughey... sorry Matthew McConaughey's character
I liked the first half of this episode, but last half seemed like it was rushed. I wasn't necessarily looking for a happy ending, but the way Frank and Ray died was kind of dumb. They both basically just decided to die. Frank definitely could've lived. Ray probably would've died either way, but he could have at least attempted to survive rather than just jumping out from behind the tree.
Much better than the previous ones.
After 3 episodes of the 2nd season, I give up.
