This show feels great already. Love the fast-pace of it all. Doesn't waste time getting into characters, it just lets them be and gives you what you need from there. I felt like I was in the kitchen.
Genuinely, I was just so glad to see them smiling at the end.

Every episode of this show just convinces me that the most stressful job in the world is working in a restaurant.
Also, I don't know if I want Sydney and Carmy to end up together. Part of me thinks that work really well together but I also would hate to see either of them hurt in some way because I just know with this show it wouldn't work out.
I definitely want to be Carmy when in reality, I'm Richie and this episode helped me realize that. I don't think I would've said Richie was my favorite character before but I feel like this episode showed me that he is. I went through all the emotions with him on this one. He needs to be protected at all costs.
What a good finale. Will Trent has been one of the biggest surprise series for me because I initially was dismissive of the series due to it having a bland title. But, I gave it a chance and really enjoyed it. The acting and storytelling is really good and caring about these characters is really easy. I can't wait to see what the series will bring with it next season. I'm definitely hoping for Will to look more into his family history now.
I liked this first episode. I am a huge fan of the original and have watched every episode thanks to my parents' DVD collection.
The character of Ben seems interesting. He doesn't feel like an exact copy of Sam except for knowing multiple languages. I'll be interested to see how much more is done with his character. I like the change of his hologram being his fiancé. I kept seeing people complain about it but I'd rather something different than just having a repeat of the Al & Sam dynamic.
Setting some scenes with Project Quantum Leap themselves was pretty cool. In the original series, we would get maybe one or two looks at what was going on from that perspective. That being said, there was one scene in that space that felt off to me. Maybe it was just the ways the lines were being read but I found it awkward.
The actual time travel was a simple one this time around but I find that completely fine. There were plenty of episodes of the original that had even lower stakes than this. From the preview shown at the end, it seems like they have a lot of more interesting leaps planned ahead which I'm excited to see.
Overall, this was a decent start to the series. I can't wait to see where it goes from here.
I will genuinely be surprised if the father is anyone other than Jesse.
What a great start to this season! Loved every bit of what they are doing here. Also loved Will in the beginning learning Spanish to connect with his mom's memory. Can't wait to see where this season goes.
This show is going entirely too slow for me. Like the episode went by and it felt like nothing happened. I'll keep trying to get through it but they need to pick up the pace. I hope I'm not alone in this thought.
I always love episodes that take a look at side characters. I haven't particularly liked Ben so far this season but I think this one made me start to like him again.
Two things I noticed in this episode:
1. Ansel Elgort literally towers over literally everyone.
2. The song Motivation by Kelly Rowland plays in the club when that wasn't released until 2011 and the scene is taking place in 1999.
If you think this series is "woke," you obviously didn't watch the original series.
This show definitely has my attention to say the least.
I found it so funny that they give Bert something to do this episode. That kid has been around since season one and has still managed to be in this series.
I'm absolutely here for all the drama especially if they bring up all this back again at the beginning of season 4.
As someone who watched this show as a child during the 2000's, I do not remember Caruso saying the n-word and it shocked me to hear watching this time around.
Miguel is probably the most underrated character in this series. I love him so much and want to see more of him always.
I hate saying this but Tess always seems to annoy me. She can be so rude and hurtful to her family. Which obviously she is a teen trying to figure things out but I just can't help but think she goes about things wrong.
This episode is so nostalgic for me. I remember downloading this episode on iTunes for free and constantly watching it.
I will try my best to make it through this show but honestly it is so uninteresting to me.
It's so crazy to see Anna so grown up now. I used to watch Odd Squad with my brother when he was younger so seeing her older is insane to think about. I can already see how cute this show is going to be and I can't wait.
This was a fairly decent episode this week. I am a big fan of This is Us so seeing Justin Hartley was fun. The plot was interesting enough with the plot definitely feeling somewhat reminiscent of an original episode. However, it was kind of forgettable if I were to truly think on it. But, it seems like the show has begun to find a good balance between showing the leap and showing present day stuff.
I kind of just feel like I have no real feelings on this one. The tie-in of the Magic leap was really cool even though it felt wrong not showing Sam in that scene. But, it makes sense in context since it would be more correct to show Magic instead of Sam since it is Magic who is having the sort of flashback.
I think next week's episode will be a better one. I'm a sucker for good western stuff and it looks interesting. Love the idea of Ben jumping way out of his timeline. Really opens up the possibilities.
This one was definitely the best so far. It had more of a focus on Ben in the leap and gave him a lot more to do. Unlike the last episode, Ben got to have a good dynamic with someone in the life of the person he leaped into. It felt like Raymond Lee really got a chance to show off his acting chops especially in one scene later on.
That being said, I will admit there was a little bit more that I wish was touched on. The guy Ben boxes doesn't really get much of a character outside of just being the guy he has to box. The bit about the girlfriend didn't really serve any purpose and didn't even really make Addison as jealous as I thought she would be. It also felt like a lot of the episode was spent in the gym set but I can understand that it would take a lot to constantly have scenes in locales that require a large amount of extras. These are just minor nitpicks though since I thought the story they told still holds up despite my gripes.
It felt like the present day stuff in this episode was more substantial especially about Addison and how she is dealing with everything. Everyone seems to constantly complain about her being the hologram but I think this episode shows why it is a more interesting dynamic. Al and Sam were close as friends but in the same way as partners would be. Sam even has a wife in the original series but her feelings in the whole matter just seem to be irrelevant to the story despite I feel like it would've changed some more stuff in the future.
I am really interested in this talk of Ben trying to leap to a certain point. My big guess would be that he is looking for Sam. Despite Scott Bakula not being in the series (though I have a feeling he may just make an unexpected cameo), it would tie in well to what it seems to be setting up with the Janis storyline. Hopefully, the next episode is just as good. I like how this series seems to be going diverse in his leaps from the start. It took a long time before Sam ever leapt into a black person or a woman but this series is doing so before we even hit five episodes.
So, I think this one border on being the same level as good as the premiere and slightly below it. I can definitely understand the criticisms about the future scenes more in this episode where it felt like a lot of time was spent not in the leap. I'm going to keep in perspective though that this show is different from the original. I will also say that I do like that it shows what is going on in the effort to bring Ben home considering it never really felt as active an effort on the original.
The leap itself was definitely interesting just for the fact that it took place in space. However, I feel like it would've been better if Ben had leapt into Stratton instead. She was really the main driving force of the episode and it felt like Ben was just there to back her up. If he leapt into her though, it would've played more into the dynamic set up between Reynolds and Stratton.
I am still excited to see where the series heads and what we have to look forward to in the future. The next one seems to be a boxing episode and I like that it seems that Ben is going to have to learn about boxing instead being a pro at it. Sometimes, it felt ridiculous how OP Sam could be at times.
This lowkey feels like a filler episode. The tease about Carlos from the end of the last episode leads to nothing more than a line about how whatever his plan was didn't work. The reveal at the end is the only real interesting part of the episode and even then, it seems weird that they even hid it for so long.
Honestly, Gina has the more interesting storylines than Nini.
I'm dying at the fact that a major part of this episode revolved around Roblox.
Kind of a slow start so far but it is only the first episode. I'm sure it will get better as it goes on. Really interested to see where they go with this.
I liked this first episode. The opening fight scene was interesting I loved how different it was from most Star Wars fights with it not really revolving around lightsabers or blasters. The twist is actually really interesting and made me appreciate what was going on even more. I wish it was set up a bit earlier but I do appreciate it and the fact that I wasn't spoiled on it. That said, there is a long stretch of this episode where I was like, "Is anything even going on?" That's definitely a problem I've had with the Star Wars shows more recently but I'm willing to stick it out a bit. Hopefully, others are willing to continue to give this show a chance and dislike it on actual merits as opposed to culture war nonsense.
I'm definitely invested into this more than I thought I would be. I have my own theories about the killings but I think the show is doing a good job of making me question them already.
