Not a bad pilot. There is strong chemistry between Damon Wayans, Jr, Amber Stevens, and Felix Mallard. It was very charming and I'm looking forward to seeing more episodes.
This season was a huge improvement over the first. Cutting down the episodes was the right move as it made them focus more on the story. Adding Flynn to the group was also a really great move. The finale got an upswing in the ratings so here's hoping that NBC decides to #RenewTimeless.
This is what all superhero shows should be... it's fun. It's enjoyable. It embraces the lunacy of comic books without being a complete farce. It even manages to hit high emotional notes. Grant Gustin is just a delight as Barry and Jesse L. Martin is a national treasure.
Love the bait and switch at the end.
This series is a must see for both anime fans and fans of traditional western superhero comics. My Hero Academia expertly plays with the tropes present in both superhero comics and shounen anime/manga and expertly blends them together for a well executed and thrilling series. If you're skeptical of anime, but enjoy DC/Marvel comics I would urge you to at least give this show a try.
So after the pilot I hated pretty much every single character on the show. While I'm always game for a good medical drama, there was just something about the characterization that felt like it was trying too hard to be edgy. Now that I've seen the whole season, I can say that while it is still kind of trying way too hard, it's managed to work itself into a pretty good story. I've come around on pretty much all the characters to a point and am glad it was picked up for another season.
This episode deserves every single award a television show can ever win.
What did these actors do to deserve this?
I was originally down on this series because I blamed it for the cancellation of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I tried it on a whim expecting my blind hatred to be justified, but this series is really great. The animation leaves some to be desired, but the voice cast is nothing but solid and the tone is exactly what I look for in the Avengers.
I actually liked this one more than the first. The plot wasn't quite as convoluted and I really liked Lizzy Caplan's character. Bring on the third installment.
Ed’s mom when she came in: I’m the class.
Ed’s mom in reality: LITERALLY THE WORST PERSON
I missed the gang back at the manor so much :sob::sob::sob: it's so nice to get a bit of them this season.
Nicole Beharie and Holland Taylor were amazing during the interview.
The Pleasantville parody was amazing. No notes!
Wow I did not expect this to instantly become one of my favorite seasons in the whole franchise. It had a wonderful group of queens, the vibes were immaculate, and the challenges were really good. I think the short episode format is excellent for these All Stars seasons because it kept it from feeling repetitive.
I don't quite know what Jimbo did during the talent show, but I would pay good money to see it every day.
An absolutely idiotic brain dead move.
Wait did Seonyul and the photographer switch identities at the orphanage?? Are they working together?? Is that how he knew the exact type of film?
I was onboard with them getting away with it in the end, but I can’t root against Lauren Lapkus.
I picked this up on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! It was fun and fluffy and had some great characters. It was made for weekend afternoon bingeing.
I remember my mom being a fan of the Von Erichs so I was always vaguely aware of their story, but I didn't realize how deep it went (I had no idea that Kevin was the second oldest or that Kerry lost his foot). Great performances from the cast and the direction is wonderful. You can almost feel the specter of death hanging over them in the film. I do wish they hadn't cut out Chris because I always felt like it was the tipping point for Kerry (because of the similarities of their deaths).
This is an absolute masterpiece of a television episode.
This Fiona storyline would be good if this weren’t the fifth or sixth time she pulled the same stuff over some guy turning out to be an asshole.
This was definitely the strongest season overall.
Simply incredible. I went into it not expecting it to live up to the hype, but it more than exceeded it. It was somehow the perfect amount of episodes, yet leaves me desperately wanting more.
Absolutely delightful. Sam Rockwell as Wolf has to be one of the best pieces of voiceover work in recent years. The animation was gorgeous. I love the mixture of traditional 2D animation blended with the 3D animation. It is a bit of a rehash of Zootopia, but I think The Bad Guys did it better.
A nice break from ripping out hearts out.
Regardless how this series turns out... David Production pulled out all of the stops on this episode. Just gorgeous from beginning to end.
I honestly had zero expectations about enjoying this series when it premiered, but over the course of this first season this has become one of my must watches. The plots are well constructed and the cast is damn good. I would watch Sela Ward do a dramatic reading of a phone book.
