I was shocked to find out that Inez betrayed Jeri. Maybe I‘m naive, but I really didn‘t expect that. It was heartbreaking to see Jeri like this.
I love the relationship between Kara and Alex. On the other hand, the Kara/James bullshit that they are trying so hard to sell makes me cringe. Cat and her latte have better chemistry than those two.
Anybody else catch that line that was something like "you guys hear about all the weird stuff happening in New York?"
So this episode happens during the beginning of Infinity War, it seems
Honestly, i don't know why all the hate on this show. I'm lovin' it. Hard.
throws an Emmy at Chyler Leigh's head because somehow she manages to outdo herself every week and it's ridiculous
I didn't expect Supergirl to do a horror episode, but they actually kinda pulled it off. The scenes at the research station were sufficiently creepy. And the parasite looked really good.
Drunk Kara was absolutely adorable and hilarious.
The Guardian is fine. I liked James and Winn's interactions in this episode. Kudos to Jeremy Jordan for his angry speech at the DEO. It was amazing. And the idea to lace the suit with lead so Kara can't see inside it was pretty brilliant.
Is something going to happen to J'onn because of White Martian blood?
Well, Mon-El is dead. I mean, not really, but I can't say I'd miss his pasty annoying ass.
Now, let's get to the more emotional and less comprehensible part of this review:
Alex came out to Kara, and of course there had to be a misunderstanding, but that scene at Kara's apartment was beautiful. Everything about it was perfect, from the soft music and the warm lighting to all the acting choices. Alex talking about Maggie and calling her beautiful was just so pure and cute and it made me want to bite my hand off. You know the feeling. Don't lie to me.
AND THEN ALEX KISSED MAGGIE! I had to pause the episode and calm my racing heart. I was so excited and happy that I felt like I was about to explode. But underneath all that there was a nasty little gremlin sitting in my stomach, whispering "Maggie's gonna reject her", so I hesitated for a good minute before hitting play.
And guess what?
The gremlin was fucking right and I hate life.
Don't get me wrong. I want Alex and Maggie's relationship to develop slowly. And Maggie had a good reason for not wanting to get involved with a baby gay who's just starting to figure herself out. The calm, reasonable part of me knows that. But the far more vocal, far less logical part wants them to get together immediately.
Alex's heartbreak destroyed me. Holy shit. My poor baby. I'm sobbing because of her. The way she choked and stuttered and could barely talk... so real and completely devastating.
I absolutely loved that intro... it could have been a tad shorter, but I kinda liked the fact that it was long enough to have "commercial breaks" inside of it. With Mr. Robot I never know what to expect anymore, lol. The rest of the episode was also amazing as always, fsociety teaching Angela how to hack is such a good story.
The only thing that left me a bit confused was Darlene not knowing what was happening when Angela and CD guy were looking at each other. Shouldn't Darlene know that he was responsible for the CD? The CD at Allsafe as ground zero for the hack, and it was known that the Dark Army was behind that. This is probably not important anyway, but I still couldn't help but get confused, Mr. Robot is vague sometimes and it's hard to tell who knows something or not.
Also, I love the flashback scenes we're getting this season.
Whatever the fuck happened on that last scene, I would like to clean it up with a fucking bleach, please
Broke in and out of prison in less than 48 hours? Eat your heart out Michael Scofield!
Oh, for fuck's sake. Stop baiting us with the Harvey/Donna relationship. I've been waiting for them to get together for 6 seasons. Just give it to me. Please. My crops are dying, my grades are dropping, the birds have stopped singing, war is upon us. I need them to be canon.
Maeve's plot is the best of the show yet.
This might have been the darkest episode of this show I've ever seen and it can be described with only one word: RACHEL. Thank goodness my girl Krystal was there for some comic relief because this episode needed it.
I can't believe another season of Orphan Black is behind us and that we only have one more left to wrap it all up. Can't wait to see the final (my heart breaks just thinking it) season in 2017!
I actually thought Frank was gonna kill her right there in the Oval Office.
The list of episodes is shuffled. On Prime Video in Italy it starts with "Real Life' (here 1x05) and all others are wrong too.
I just want for everyone who makes Annie suffer to PAY!
Vanessa Kirby is great in the role of Princess Margaret. I‘m glad this episode focused on her.
Sweet Christmas. When the camera started moving closer to Alexandra's face and the music was building up in the background, I had a feeling that something would interrupt her big speech. But I certainly didn't expect... that. The only thing I can say: YES! FUCK YES! You go, Elektra! Look at my murderous wife taking her destiny into her own hands! I was hoping that we would see her with her iconic sais at some point since they kind of foreshadowed it with her looking at them while choosing her weapon, but that was the best possible way to do it. What an ending.
Danny's a fucking childish idiot (but what else is new) who refuses to listen to anyone and tries to fight the only three people who can help him bring down the Hand. How does Colleen put up with him? He's insufferable.
I liked Jessica and Matt's little bonding time. They make a good team.
Well, looks like Stick's dead. I never liked the guy anyway, so good riddance.
Legends: break the first rule of time travel, meet their past selves, fuck up all of time to the point where there are fucking dinosaurs running around present-day LA
Barry, watching from the sidelines: throws his hands up in disbelief, shakes his head, walks away muttering curse words under his breath
Yup, the level of hypocrisy is staggering. On the other hand, if I had to choose between living in Doomworld and risking the possibility of ending up with a T-rex in my backyard, I wouldn't even hesitate.
Eobard got fucked! Yes! That was so satisfying.
Is Rip gone for good? My guess is that he'll pop up every now and then in season 3. I'm glad he won't be around all the time, though. He said it himself: "This team has functioned far better in my absence than it ever did under my leadership". Preach. Sara makes a really great captain. And the team we've got now is so well-balanced. Everyone contributes something and has their own stories, struggles and character development. That's one of the things that made season 2 so much better than season 1 and honestly, Rip's absence helped with that.
The scene between Sara and Laurel was so emotional and tear-jerking. I'm so proud of Sara for being able to overcome her personal desires and do the right thing.
I can't believe how fun this season was. I had a blast watching each new episode. I'm very excited for season 3. I guess we have 6 months of waiting ahead of us now, huh?
Don't worry children, Raven will save you all.
Also, Abby, don't be dense. One of the 1200 people that will be living in the bunker for the next 5 years is bound to need a doctor at some point. We don't care that you feel guilty about experimenting on people with nightblood and radiation, you stay down there.
Why is Jaha not dead yet? And why do people still think he's trustworthy? (dude, don't leave your kid with Jaha, he'll feed it to an ocean monster if it means saving himself)
Jaha tried to orchestrate a rebellion that would have gotten all the sky people killed. He's not a good leader!!!! And acting all self righteous about saving his people when he spent years floating them while they were in space? Why don't you take your hypocritical comments and go stay outside with the radiation wave, hmm?
"Seriously, you idiots haven't figured this out by now? It all started when we blew up the time pigs, the Time Masters. Now history's all screwed up, and it's up to us to unscrew it up. But half the time, we screw things up even worse. So don't call us heroes, we're something else. We're legends. Who writes this crap anyway?"
I've been laughing for an hour. No joke. There are tears in my eyes, my stomach hurts and I'm wheezing. This is so perfect and in character for Mick. And it sums up the show really well.
The Legends have a chore wheel, celebrate Christmas together and they actually called themselves a family. I love this team dynamic so much. They're all my children, including Stein. My stupid, violent children, getting in trouble all the time and making poor life choices. What can I say? They've stolen my heart.
I do believe Amy Acker deserves an award for the way she portrays Root.
Viola Davis' acting is just too good to be true.
Although this season has been amazing so far, this is one of the best episodes ever. Finally they made me cry again...it's been too long writers!! The last minutes of this episode are so heartwarming that we know this is us can be. Also glad we're done with marc or at least i hope so... Also old Kevin looks freaking HAWT can they please stop making him look so hot haha...Can't wait to see where the story will go to next
That was dumb. What type of master thief, with all the tech, not digitize the tape & trust to go on a show with no back up plans. This is some lazy writing. This show just went down hill. Hope the writing isn’t this bad in next episode.
Well, we all saw the cannibalism coming, so not surprising. Personally I didn't find it surprising either that Octavia killed people for not eating. My guess was she would throw them in the pit, but the death penalty for refusing to eat was kind of expected too.
Now I just wonder if the rations may still have human meat in it, considering how often they mention these rations and how the camera always shows exactly who eats it (like Bellamy and Monty in this episode).
But Jesus, they really had to make that meat in the most repulsive form - a raw square piece of meat that has the consistency of jelly presented on a single plate. At least make it a bit easier for people to eat that.
We applaud when the siblings win, though we should cry. We are applauding the worldwide decision to kill the planet and everything on it. Though, it is a good movie that can make you root for human extinction.
Geez, this episode was a rollercoaster. I have so many thoughts and I’m not sure if I can express all of them properly, but I’ll try.
First of all, Mon-El is not bad, but he’s not particularly interesting either. I really hope he and Kara will stay friends and nothing more. His scenes with Winn were pretty great, though. And hungover Winn is absolutely hilarious.
Something about Lena Luthor’s accent has been bothering me since the season premiere, and I finally got around to looking up Katie McGrath. She’s Irish, as it turns out. My ears weren’t deceiving me. By the way, is Lena evil? Does she know Kara is Supergirl? Something about their conversation and the way she stared after Kara seemed shady. Frankly, I don’t care if she’s one of the good guys or a villain. I’m fine with either.
Miss Martian is a White Martian! I’m having an aneurysm! I didn’t see that one coming at all. What an awesome plot twist. I really enjoyed the relationship between her and J’onn in this episode and I can’t wait to see what will happen when J’onn finds out who she really is.
"- I offered to merge with her in the Martian way.
- But you guys just met."
I literally had to pause the episode because I was laughing too hard. Oh, Kara.
Dichen Lachman is always a win. Dichen Lachman playing a villain in a red dress with sick tattoos? Double win. I hope we’ll see Roulette again at some point.
Alex „Fight Me” Danvers, the same Alex Danvers who throws herself at aliens twice her size without hesitation, stutters and gets flustered when a pretty girl compliments her. What an awkward baby gay. I love her so much.
Why did Maggie take Alex’s hand? Don’t tell me it was for the mission because there was no need for them to hold hands. I’m pretty sure the writers only threw that in to give me (and Alex) a heart attack.
Of course Maggie has a girlfriend who conveniently showed up when Alex was trying to ask Maggie out. I hate it when they do that. We all know that the girlfriend is just a plot device created for the sole purpose of keeping Alex pining for Maggie for a little longer. They did basically the same thing with Kara, James and Lucy last season, except Lucy ended up actually getting some character development and being relevant to the plot. I’m willing to bet it won’t be the case here.
Shoutout to Chyler Leigh for her phenomenal work. She did an amazing job of showing Alex’s inner turmoil, sadness and disappointment with just her facial expressions as she watched Maggie leave. It was stunning to watch.
unbelievable how a golf montage managed to make me tear up
