What a junk ending, Pureeeee Shit tbh
Poor bad end… three seasons without sense.
I hope they finished the show.
Maybe I missed a key piece of dialogue but I still have no clue about who or what Leanne was an who were the people that followed her and now follow Julien.
Anyway, I still enjoyed the ride even when it frustrated me (which was quite often)
What the hell was that? As I'd predicted, they rushed through the ending, barely gave us any answers and then left a foolish cliff hanger at the end, as if to leave a foot in the door to have a spin off. No. Just No! After the first two seasons, I felt like I was suffering from stockholm syndrome with this show, a willing hostage of its endlessness. However, now that it has come to an end, I feel both unfulfilled, like I just wasted the past few years on it and I also feel a sense of relief that it is over. I keep giving M. Night chance after chance but, I don't understand the hype behind his horrors. The first season was strange and creepy and kept me captivated as I wanted answers. But, it was all downhill from there. Anyway, I'm just glad it's over - even with the shitty ending.
More of a thriller than horror but it's great. Elisabeth Moss is really good at playing an unstable woman. The action is awesome and shot well. The plot has a few shocking moments.
It starts of pretty well, but then it gets better and better. There are a few places where the logic is a bit thin (not saying it doesn’t make sense, but you have to give it some leeway), and there are a few too many comedic touches for my taste, but other than that, this is a terrific film, powered by an Oscar worthy Elizabeth Moss (who won’t get nominated of course, because it’s not that type of film) and a talented director who will have Hollywood producers begging at his door after making this for a mere 7 million.
8/10
Lame that so many negative reviews act like Invisible Man is over the top woke. Just because it’s about a woman learning to take control of her life. After being in a controlling relationship. Also because she has a black bestfriend she lives with ?
An invisible stalker was a clever idea and fresh. The movie pulls that off extremely well.
Enjoyed this loads. made me laugh lots! pretty predictable but enjoyable. Great cast.
It feels like it's been a hot minute since Hollywood released a romcom. I just saw it yesterday in the theater with my sister and we loved it. Lots of fun and laughing out loud!
I don't get the hype. I honestly haven't been so bored by a horror in a long time.
The whole cast was really well chosen, but Malek...Oh, Malek did just a phenomenal job here! He really shows his caliber as an actor, absolutely worth seeing!
one of my favourite shows, it never gets boring because the gang never changes and always finds ways to get themselves into more insane situations! and it's been renewed for seasons 13 and 14!
Will recommend this show forever. There’s way too many quotable moments and scenes that my friends and I are obsessed with. There is no other group of characters like them. Also a show that makes me audibly laugh by myself. Also if your life is a mess, watch this show and you will feel better about yourself.
I laugh so hard with every episodes. I hope this series never ends :)
Seinfield on crack
Awful stories about awful people. And being an awful person myself I fucking love this show!
It is unbelievable how funny Always Sunny is, even after so many Season, nearly every episode is pure genius.
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘The Little Mermaid’:
Halle Bailey IS Ariel. She was absolute perfection. From voice to vibe, she captured her essence impeccably. I believe a star has officially been born.
Melissa McCarthy had veryyy gargantuan tentacles to fill. And I think Pat Carroll would’ve been incredibly pleased with what she did with her sea witch.
I thought they built upon the original film’s story in all the right ways. Fleshing it out to make a little more sense. Providing more substance. While not everything was picture perfect, it worked and gave fresh magic to a beloved story.
Bonus Thought: I thought it was a fantastic movie to look at, especially under the sea. Gorgeous colors and visuals. Eye candy all around. And that includes Jonah Hauer-King. :pound_symbol:snack
'The Little Mermaid' perfectly hits that sweet spot between reinvention and nostalgia. Halle Bailey is easily the standout. Her rendition of Part of Your World is magical. This is one of Disney’s best live-action reimaginings to date.
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. As a huge Disney fan, I have noticed that some recent live-action adaptations were leaning towards a more commercial direction that didn't resonate with me. However, this one exceeded all my expectations, particularly with Halle's portrayal of Ariel. Her voice is TRULY remarkable, paying a beautiful tribute to Jodi Benson, and her acting is pure, sweet, and perfectly suited for Ariel! She embodies the essence of the Little Mermaid, and the movie itself is a captivating, well-directed tribute to the beloved 1989 original. Without a doubt, it has secured a place as one of my favorite Disney live-actions!
Clearly a personal project for writer/director/star Chris Rock, Top Five isn't quite a comedy and isn't quite a drama. It nestles snugly, firmly into the in-between, dispensing funny little slices of life alongside serious, self-searching notes about midlife insecurity and the desire to make something more of yourself.
Rock basically plays himself, a longtime comedy superstar who worries that his silly wide-appeal earlier works have trapped him in a vicious cycle of self-loathing and alcoholism. His character is grounded and real, afraid to play anything for big laughs because the pressure to meet earlier comedy heights is so crippling. For the most part, it's the story of his swift rapport and burgeoning relationship with a tailing New York Times reporter (Rosario Dawson), which clicks on all cylinders. The two work so well together, it can be enjoyable just watching them interact over the inconsequential, and that's the real draw.
Don't go in expecting riotous laughs; it's funny, but also sweet, and an effective stepping stone to broader subjects.
luci you always be famous!
I only watched this because a few people had recommended it. It didn’t disappoint, such a clever and addictive show. Another season please BBC
My only complaint about the show is that I am going to have to wait for another season now after they've gotten me hooked!
I don't normally watch reality TV shows but this one absolutely sucked me in.
To watch how humans can be manipulated to go against their very own thoughts is quite remarkable, and how this show demonstrates that in people is astonishing.
Whoever wrote the method of how this show was going to play out is a genius.
I think it will become something that students of psychology study for years to come.
it is very well worth a watch. I hope you enjoy it!
Compared to the US season, this one feels more brutal and deceitful. The traitors are master manipulators and it is interesting to watch it all unfold. It definitely feels like episodes are still way too long but if you got it going in the background while doing something else, the pacing is perfect for that. My wife also watched the Australian version and still came back and said the UK was her favorite.
I watched the more recent remake when it first came out and it was tolerable.I wanted to check this out thinking that the original would have had to be at least as, if not more entertaining. 10 minutes in and I cannot bear to listen to this man cackle one more time. I get that the drunken laughing is supposed to be annoying but it's too much. It gave the movie more of an over the top stage performance of what someone who has never been drunk would assume an obnoxious drunk person behaves like. I don't think I can make it to the end of this trainwreck.
In my heart of hearts when I saw Freckles take the boys to Steamland, I really hoped that we weren't about to revisit the whole "kidnapped by the freakshow" thing again . Didn't we just go through this with Elfo? Also I can't be the only one getting sick of Dagmar reappearing at the end of every Part / Season . This show gets exhausting with how much they like to milk a story line and drag it out... and now recycling story lines that were tired to begin with is too much, sigh.
my God they really drag story lines out and take them round in circles. King Zog's madness is just exhausting. So is Odval's quest to overthrow him. Season 2 feels like watching a telenovela.
