I'm half tempted to give this full marks just for daring to play Radiohead's Everything in Its Right Place during your typical military in dropship scene. Anyway my boy Gareth knocked out another cracking piece of scifi. You really don't mind when a director takes a few years off and comes back with something like this. There's certainly a fair amount of Rogue One, Blade Runner and Terminator in the mix, the latter of which he takes the Judgement Day plot and turns it on its head defying expectations where I assumed it was going just due to the tropes of the genre.
There's also a lot of stuff on screen for 80mill in comparison to other recent effects heavy films. Gets you wondering if budgets elsewhere escalate to $200 mill mark due to talent demands or that something like this has less behind the scenes VFX artists but take longer to bake? I dunno. Either way, check it out. The trailer gives too much away (as always my opinion) however there's plenty more that isn't shown.

Not sure what other people were expecting... I thought it was the perfect blend of humor, action, gore and even some heart.
At 93 minutes, it was a lot of fun and didn't drag at all.
In my opinion, this is definitely in the top 10 best Fast movies.
Okay, what the f? How did they pull this brilliant piece of cinema off? I am your standard hater of Disney live-action and I am pleasantly surprised they made me enjoy a Cruella origin film. Wtf. I want that little dog Wink. What a boss.
I could gush about this for a long time but I'll keep it short -- it's fantastic. This is going to be a word of mouth hit because there's no one who leaves it who won't want to get other people to see it.
Good action, nice actors, ok story.
Some really intense scenes that seem like a one shot and keep going forever. Really immersive!
If you liked the first one and want nice action sequences give this one a go. It kept me entertained the whole 2 hours!

Great take on a classic character, unexpectedly good and with the best song soundtrack in a while
With a better story, better special effects, and better character development, Code 8: Part II builds on the core concept of the original film and expands the action.
The edgy buddy chemistry between Robbie and Stephen Amell is where this film succeeds.
Both characters represent the alienation of the almost caste-like system for powered people in a repressive socioeconomic society. The franchise is an X-Men homage, where both men feel they know what may be best for someone with powers.
I felt so many things watching this. It's stunning, it's twisted, it's weird, it's hot. One thing's for sure, it'll be on my mind for quite some time.
Received an invitation to the premiere, and as you guessed, it had very typical superhero tropes. I don't really mind it and kinda dig the light-heartedness. The storyline isn't groundbreaking but the slapstick humor here and there makes it a fun watch. I'm glad I went, it was a great choice to unwind on a midweek evening.
"Heart of Stone" is the next by-the-numbers Netflix movie where you know exactly what you're going to get before you see it. Anyone who has watched the likes of "The Gray Man", "Army of Thieves", or "Red Notice" knows exactly what I mean. These are all movies for which the word mediocrity was invented. In any case, my pulse remained at a consistently low level throughout the entire running time of just about two hours for "Heart of Stone". Neither is the action thrilling, nor are the characters interesting. The film just plods along until it ends in a boring finale.
Gal Gadot is okay as the lead, but nothing more. The rest of the cast remains flat. The script also offers no basis for suspense. The world is peppered with agent movie clichés; the only slightly more interesting element is the super AI, with whose help special agent Rachel Stone (Gadot) solves all sorts of problems at the beginning, but the concept eventually fades into the background. When all's said and done, all I can say is "meh." However, I doubt Netflix will ever learn.
nothing groundbreaking by any means but I had fun tbh! it was just an entertaining summer popcorn movie. there's some entertaining stunts/fight sequences and I will now be bumping up movies a half star if they feature a cute cat who doesn't get hurt
Forgettable, uninspired, cliché. You can't possibly watch it without comparing it to Mission: Impossible, it's constantly copying it in so many ways. Every scene of this is a lesser version of something you've already seen before. Same goes for the story and characters. A few of the action sequences (the ones taking place in the air) have redeeming qualities, they're entertaining but it's not enough to leave an impression on me after watching it. Too much back and forth with the camera angles during the hand-to-hand fight scenes. Poor cringey acting, dialogue and interactions. Gal Gadot almost got it in a few scenes but those flat one-liners really don't help.
Not the worst action movie i've seen but considering the budget and the fact that this is one of Netflix's biggest movie of the year—basically the best they have to offer... this is poor!

This movie goes back to basics and really recaptures the classic spirit of man (or woman in this case) vs Predator.
Amber does a great turn as Naru, a Comanche trying to show that she CAN hunt and ends up in a battle against the almighty predator. The evolution of the story is a well paced and the combat encounters are well planned and satisfying.
Aesthetically the predator is a more raw tribal type than we've seen before but is well put out.
There's a few CGI moments that could have done with a little longer is post but on the whole it's pretty good.
Fun, exciting and a classic Predator tale without all the fluff, much better than what we've seen in recent years.
Also the addition of a dog companion is fun :-) Although we are in a world where every movie likes to show strong women I think this movie framed it very well and the Comanche and time frame were a great choice.

Everything I wanted it to be and more. Perfectly cast and excellent soundtrack by Hans Zimmer. Epic Sci-Fi at its best.
Emma Stone and Emma Thompson absolutely delivered in their performances, the storyline is better than I ever imagined it would've been!!! 10's across the board and the Wardrobe was to die for.
