Started watching initially because of Britt Robertson and stayed because of Susannah Flood (Kate Littlejohn)
Yu Yu Hakusho is just a classic and riveting shounen from the glory days with an awesome English dub to boot (one of the few where the dub is better than the sub imo). There are so many great characters, laughs, tears and memorable moments all wrapped into this one unforgettable journey spanning 112 episodes. The best arcs are the Dark Tournament (season 2) and Chapter Black (season 3) sagas and I could watch them over and over again.
Do yourself a favor. Don't think. Just watch.
Odette Annable.
Genius doctor who only treats medical mysteries.
The only thing missing is some pain medication. Maybe our pure genius protagonist gets shot at the end of season 2... or maybe at the end of the second episode. Maybe in the arm.
After choosing to end King of Queens in 2007 to make Adam Sandler crap. Kevin James tries to go back to exactly where he left off on television. By playing the same character again pretty much.
Except despite him being funny, the story is lazy and cliche.
So, two episodes in, I give it a 'good but not great'. I am, however, cautiously optimistic. I think it really all depends on how far they're willing to go with the characters. For instance, I'll be disappointed if Mr. Pickles doesn't continue to spiral towards complete bats**t crazy and they decide to take a more wholesome approach to the story line. Jim Carrey is an amazing resource when tapped properly. The question whether they are able to do that or not with this character remains. The supporting cast is competent, but again, I hope they really let the reigns out on the characters and let this show get as darkly funny and dysfunctional as it can.
Long overdue edit
Things definitely went the way of my hopes in the above spoiler and so much more - including the wholesomeness. Season 1 finished up strong and now, six episodes into season 2, I continue to have my feelers hit in so many ways. So good.
If you had told me three weeks ago that one of the best new shows of the seasons not only stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar, but he is one of the best parts of the show I would have had you committed.
Mean female with kind heart and says sus
I love big mechs and magic as much as the next guy but I really wish they would have kept them out of this one.
Even without a lot of historical facts there is enough here to tell a really interesting realistic story similar to Vinland Saga. But they went a different route. One that I personally don't like at all.
The music is dope tough.
A show where nothing really happens and everyone is so annoying and self-obsessed but, somehow, you can't help but feel compelled to watch the next episode because you want to know what's (not) going to happen next.
On the surface a silly and meaningless show, however the great chemistry of the cast and the well thought out plots and subtle life meanings hidden between the jokes make this show a great watch.
Argghh!!!! I hate when these exec clowns cancel great shows!! This was so frickin cool & had even more potential. I saved the 2nd half of the season knowing it was cancelled & just finished it now. I really enjoyed this show & in a diff way to any other show out there, it's so unique & the characters had the perfect chemistry.
Prob the last thing MCD was in too, real shame we didn't get to enjoy at least one more season with him... RIP.
Ah I always enjoy slow slice of life animes
I really don't know what to think of this. It's one of the few programs I have ever seen that mentions the infamous HH Holmes. But if feels like rubbish. I't feels like a visual podcast, with all the semi dramatic pauses and music, and an awful lot of padding to stretch it out. And still leaves that question of "how true is this really"?
Come on guys... no comments on this?
The rating is bad... should I give it a try? Help me out community <3
If you believe that women emerge from cryosleep chambers in full hair & makeup after 22 years of hibernated space travel, this show is for you.
New York City prima ballerinas moonlight at a upscale Russian mafia stripclub... of course they do, it's Starz.
If you're looking for dramatized insight into the ballet biz -- this isn't it. If you're looking for a prime time soap layered with a ballet backdrop and 'because-we-can' cableTV sex & nudity, welcome to heaven... ;-)
This first season is 2 episodes of what you came to see, and 6 of something else. I should say I feel like it could have been 3 episodes shorter, but overall even though it was a bit slow at times, it's still a show I would recommend...
If you didn't see too much of the marketing material and aren't hyped about seeing "a series about going to mars", but rather just see it as a story about human struggle (in multiple ways), then this is a pretty good show.
The first and last episodes are good. I mean "crying from excitement/dreading a future without this/wanting this for humanity/loss" good. Maybe I'm just a sucker for tales about human exploration, especially with the space part in it, but I really liked them. I feel like you could maybe make a 3-episode edit with E01, E08 and some cuts about the MAV fuckups/various political stuff and it would make a great tale about a possible future for humanity. The family relationship drama doesn't ruin it per se, but it definitely disappoints expectations you might have going into it.
So sad this is canceled! It's not the funniest show in the world or anything, and the writing is all over the place, but still, this show really had a lot of charm going for it. I simply loved the cast of characters so much that they made up for the sloppy and at times corny writing. Towards the end of the season the show got a whole lot more funny and their were some interesting character developments happening at well. What a waste of potential. Fox never gives shows a chance.
I didn't think I would like this but I gave it a shot and just couldn't stop watching it until I finished the first season. I like the different eras and personalities they meet as well as the fashion. Not too sure about the larger story line but it has potential and I would gladly watch more.
Rufus' character was a bit hard to watch, not sure if intentional but either way I was not a fan and don't see that changing.
I'm really enjoying this show.
This show is OK. A lot of likable characters and some funny scenes. I hope Netflix can take this series to the next level.
I'm skeptical about Bull's renewal potential ..
Never has a show made me consistently smile like this one! So sweet, cute and fun. A true hidden gem! Do search for the "epilogue" about where they are now. It's like a two minute video.
I'm so heartbroken this show was cut short. I feel like I could have watched Evie and Xavier having wacky adventures forever. They fought nearly every episode, and a lot of the times it wasn't over silly things, but core belief differences. But in the end, they always managed to see things from the others' perspective, and that's what infallibly always brought them back together. It was really nice to see them grow closer romantically, but also grow emotionally as people through these episodes. I'm gonna miss them so much!
I enjoyed the first few seasons, but it seemed like a very similar formula to every episode. To be fair, I haven't watched since the middle of season 4 because of my issues, so maybe it changed. It seems, to me, that every episode has two things. First, a doctor who won't stop whatever life saving measures they're doing, even after everyone else in the room has stepped back knowing it's too late, looking at that doctor with sad or confused looks. Second, someone else (doctor, nurse, administrator) going too far for a patient, either breaking hospital rules, or breaking "DNR" orders (I swear the DNR thing happens at least 4 times per season). I like some of the characters and actors, but I can't get over feeling like everybody breaks the rules when it suits them, then turns around and gets mad at someone else for doing the same thing, as if they hadn't just done it themselves the week before.
Oh well, I guess they were right with cancelling this? SINCE THERE IS NOT FRIGGIN SHOUT HERE BESIDE MY OWN? Where are the fans of this fantastic show?!
Beside Emily Owens M.D. this was a great, fresh and entertaining new medical show with a FANTASTIC cast and it was just axed by TNT without ever getting a real chance... too bad, it will sorely be missed by me and others who highly enjoyed it.
10 Episodes, wow, what a shame...
First medical show to do recussitation according to ALS and not just standing around and administering shocks. Kudos.
Can’t believe a great show like this would be cancelled, people at these networks are stupid!
I remember seeing this serie when i a child on tv. This is a really great serie, the makers stayed loyal to the comics. Hergé would have been proud.
It's not bad at all! Worth watching! I expected something much more boring and cliche, but it's almost as good as King of Queens. I'm actually glad that Kevin returned to making TV Shows. This thing suits him the best, not the Adam Sandler family holiday garbage movies.
i didn't even finish the 1st episode. Sooo boring and pointless
