genuinely believe this is the episode where kamen rider gaim goes from pretty good to great. extremely interesting and i support micchi getting his joker arc
jounouchi obtains a gay parent. flop episode. focuses way too much on the homophobic/transmisogynistic caricature being a homophobic/transmisogynistic caricature, which at the moment is my largest criticism of this show.
i like to watch chiaki get thrown around he's interesting though. happy your friends have been hospitalized thursday
the rest of the characters standing around watching ryuunosuke sobbing and throwing up and kissing takeru's boots: :man::man::woman::woman:
i love the lupinrangers found family swagger they are so perfect they fucking won
10/10 episode. im going to throw up
really not happy with this irritating character that seems to be a homophobic/transmisogynistic caricature :( i really hope they become less relevant at some point bc um.. not a fan
ok so im glad they didnt actually drop the whole. the disguises are made of people thing. this episode was very silly but still had bits and pieces relevant to the plot so it isnt filler
the [insert thing] is made of people trope gets me everytime in that either im like actually like :scream: or it makes me laugh and here it made me laugh sorry. it just came completely out of nowhere and will likely not be mentioned for the rest of the season. i love noel though im glad they finally dropped his backstory im satisfied with it
tooma is so real for not wanting tsukasa to die, not because its the right thing to do, but because it would make the homies cry
gangler that gives you an anxiety disorder
good episode!! it seems like theyre going to start answering some questions about noel soon, who is probably the second most intriguing character in this to me (behind kairi). speaking of kairi, "super lupin red" (dumbass name) is SO COOL !! the editing and effects they were using were so fun. i am easily distracted by colors and sounds. also i swear keiichiro lets lupin red live in his brain rent free every second of the day i know what you are
aint no fucking way they gave noel a gun form
One of my favorite episodes of the series so far, particularly because of the characterization of Kairi here. When the Kairi has attachment issues and a hangup from being so suddenly separated from someone who he wishes he had treated kinder and in comparison Keiichiro has a savior complex and is interested in him specifically in some way despite the fact that they fight in the Denny's parking lot every Sunday without him knowing. Kairi is a very interesting character and the dynamic between both him and his brother and him and Keiichiro and how they impact one another and himself are very intriguing. The pacing of his character arc has been very well done and I'm interested in seeing where the series continues to go with him.
kairi has been given a gun
I think that this is the first episode of this season that I genuinely do not like at all. I know it's my fault for being tricked by thinking they were introducing nuance to the gangler and human conflict, but there was genuine potential here that was wasted. Especially because this is from the perspective of the cops, I really do not like that the plotline of this episode is that Tsukasa lends sympathy to a criminal, only to be reminded that ganglers are biologically disposed to evil and should not be trusted. This is the kind of bullshit in cop media that is reflective of some really sinister implications. It was really intriguing me when it seemed like maybe Noel's motives weren't the best, and I thought maybe they were adding another layer of moral ambiguity to his character, but then the twist happened that "the gangler was secretly evil all along" and it was stupid!!! Come on guys
the conversation between keiichiro and kairi on the bridge in this episode is probably my favorite character interaction in this season so far it was really interesting
this was honestly just a recap episode, but i think its really funny that noel was like "dont you want to help keiichiro get his memories back? your good friend keiichiro?" and kairi and umika were like "um :/ not really"
irisviel should leave kiritsugu for saber and they should ignore the war and go live in rural britain together
for me watching this epilogue feels like waiting for the credits of the marvel movie to end so i can see waver cameo for 2 seconds
FINALLY some touma and sakuya interaction did not disappoint theyre so funny
i was right about each character individually getting a "being forced to learn to tolerate noel" episode
the toying around with secret identities in this season is soo good. when tsukasa tells kairi not to put himself in danger or risk his life but later on he does this in lupinranger mode and it inspires her to do the same rather than scares her when previously she had been telling him about how her being raised by her grandfather had influences her idea of justice and safety.
i hope each character gets an individual episode where theyre forced to learn to tolerate noel
noel makes up for being french by lying to the police on behalf of gentleman thievery
gay AND french AND a cop AND a thief AND a train conductor AND an acrobat
classic boss move if this happened to me id be so mad
i usually dont particularly like or care for the power rangers like scrimblo sidekick things or whatever, but i actually do really like good striker he isn't obnoxious like a lot of them tend to be and i think its funny he plays for both teams
umika carried again. keiichiro's so lucky she's nice because she could have EASILY stolen his girl. they've really got to get this guy some therapy
i love this episode so much probably one of my favorites from this season so far. truly displays how insane super sentai can get at times and uses the body swapping shenanigans to its fullest in both a goofy and dramatic way :)
