Superb!
“I’m going to Texas to see the section of the wall I sponsored!”
Sad this was cancelled, it could have gone further and it could have been way better. It seems wide open for someone else to pick it up.
I'm not a fan of the Russ Taylor character; they could have done without him and way too much Desi....
Love the humour, love the action and the great Mac-style resolutions to problems
Multiple tranquillisers can’t keep this guy down. In fact the more enraged he becomes the more he fights off the effects
Yes, David, why not become a military lab rat. Who wouldn’t go for that offer. LOL
David, how in the world do you keep finding yourself in these situations.
I understand we would have no show to watch if it were not for the storyline but jeeze, this guy can’t catch a break.
Even in the depths of an isolated forest he manages to get swept away by the waters of a dam whilst rescuing a blind woman and then deliberately going near to a freshly fallen meteorite
What a guy!!
Fabulous season in which we learn much more about the island and it's inhabitants, familiar faces are joined by new faces and more questions are left handing than are solved
Seasons 1 thru 4 are well worth watching; Season 5 is frankly poor and an exercise in how not to spend money.
On balance a good season, finishing with what is perhaps one of the best cliffhangers ever; strangely one of the worse episodes too (for me anyhow) with Barclay!
Great second season on balance; I particularly disliked 'The Royale' which reflected in my /10 score. The characters are well bedded in now and the freshness of season one has gone; you can see they work better together. The addition of Ten Forward is welcome as the scene's become more flexible.
Brendan is on form in this series however the passengers are a bit of a mixed bag
Too many 'clicks' and too much 'friendship' talk when people have only known each other a matter of hours
If there is to be a new series I would like the voting situation to be shaken up; it's almost impossible for new passengers to make any headway with the rather boring vote heading their way and the reason given 'we don't know you as well'
Too much of this ruined the season IMHO
So, reviewing after 3 seasons...
Season 1, good. Season 2, weird and makes you think at times, should I be watching this. Season 3, well, it's a mix of 1 & 2.
No one ever has jet lag? :)
Having seen the arrival, the finding out about the island, the getting off the island, the getting back - now we get to see why and what next.
Great season, particularly the last few episodes. Plenty of life left in this show yet
Darker than any Supermarionation show before it with maybe the first 'sexual' puppets, all seemingly designed to be super-attractve.
Darker, because every episode seems to contain a disaster and death depicted in the most extreeme of ways; was this really aimed at kids or anyone under the age of 16 :)
Season 1 has improved from its start to finish strongly, I think. I've not watched any of the other CSI shows, maybe I will :)
Season 4. Island under attack. This show just got even more weird, yes, it is possible!
Am I current time, historic or future, amybe none of them. Somehow the complicated is made to be understandable yet we are left with so many questions; will they be answered in season 5. Probably not.
Brilliant reboot of a favourite. Much more realistic in it's premise. Much more realistic and the episode to episode happenings. Terrific visuals and effects and a great cast. I really hope this is taken to Season 2
I'm not exactly a child any longer, so, should knowing this series is aired on Children's TV in the Uk be an issue; heck no!
I loved the original Thunderbirds series, despite the fact I first remember watching it 15yrs after it first aired. This rekindling takes the same premise and moves it into the future, further and in a more contemporary manner. Most episodes in this season were hugely entertaining.
I didn't watch the original show from the '80s but I do know it's synonymous with scrappy fights and over the top-ness
Ever episode here is fun, but it really does get better in the second half of the season to end with a roaring season finale you just don't expect!
Season 1: Quite interesting premise. Matt Dillon as a key character. Yeah, it was OK and watchable.
Season 2: Why on earth did I waste my time. Wow. Very thin story. Not a lot of sense made throughout. Some very strange ideologies. Finished off with a poor ending. If I had the opportunity again I wouldn’t bother.
A 3rd season mix here... very sad to see some of the current cast leave (for a variety fo reasons) - it seems like the Network decided to use the last episode as a mass cull!!
This has become a show where rules were made to be ignored, unless the character's magic eight ball says otherwise. Use of humour adds a nice inflection at times; I do like the character of Nate and his friendship with Ray
So much timeline to be messed with, I feel only these guys are capeable!!
Season 3 started well, fell flat in the middle and finished extremely strongly; very happy with the final episodes. Season 2 was hard to watch, very dark. I'm glad season 3 gave some closure although not exactly a happy ending...
Mixed thoughts on Season 2; some major plot holes and wow do these people hold grudges!
I think the right decision at the end to take Joe back into custody; at least Ryan doesn't have his death on his hands. Mark, well, he's missing in action and seems to be able to carry the weight of his dead brother for miles no trouble at all!! He's soon to be plotting revenge, disability or not!
I was surprised this show made it to three seasons. The whole third season was pretty 'trip' and many things were so far beyond plausible it defies explanation. The final episode brings things very well together although no true ending exists; things are very much open to continuation.
Even if there ever was a remake or a season 4 I don't think they would find me watching.
RIP UTD
Season 2 was a roller coaster of splinters in time, back and forth - so very confusing! I think, and thats just a thought, that the ending brings it all together; you have to stick with the episodes though!! If nothing else, the visual effects are really quite stunning at points, you have to love the show for this alone.
The door opens for Season 3 which could be stunning as there's certainly plenty of material they can use here. Doesn't every viewer want to find the Witness??
Whats in the bag Matt? What an ending... This was such a good season, I need season 3, what is Karen going to do/say?
Building on season 1 this had a good promise which did loose it's way, particularly the last 6 episodes maybe. It's certainly off the chart weird
yeah; Jack's not here but it's still good TV
Awesome; better than season 1 with an ending to die for
Awesome.
I realise much is done for drama and of course storyline but it does beggar belief really that a person whose has committed crimes can say “I don’t remember” and get away with it.
Great first season. I really hope they continue.
I have read the reviews currently shown and whilst you can't disagree entirely with them, I think personally some are a little harsh.
Yes, the story is maybe predictable, but, then it would be wouldn't it. It's a reboot of an old classic. It has been updated and frankly is way more realistic and plausible than the original, in my view.
the robot stole the original show and steals it again here; I would like to see more of it - perhaps thats season 2
