"Send the dothraki first since they are barbarians"
"Dragons are our heavy artillery let's keep them flying in circles without doing NOTHING for say 2/3 of the battle. Even if they all stop before a flaming trench and sit there nearly aligned for tenths of minutes. We can not win the easy way this must be EPIC"
"It's a massive invasion of Savage, quick and merciless undead but we like to walk orderly and calmly in libraries"
"By the way, libraries are still dead silent while people are being ripped to shreds outside"
"Hey, look, Arya slipped past 4.000 undead and learned Rey's air saber trick"
"Every major character gets to live even after being surrounded by dead. (jorah and theon were already half dead - oh yeah, theon, seems Arya waited in the shadows while you were impalled too. Go team.".
So in this big battle where "your favourite characters gonna die" they killed like 4-5 totally side characters nobody really cares about and defeated the night king in a lame ass way. Dissapointment is not even the best word to describe this episode.
I'm a big fan of Pixar films, but this new animated division of Disney, which crafted Moana, is superb. The quality of the art is clean and georgeous. The personal idiocyncristic movements that capture each character are reminiscent of the work of the great animator Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away). This animated movie is a gem, must see movie. Beyond it's technical excellence, the story is full and unique. Disney gets a new princess (OK... Chief's daughter). Children get two new songs with which to drive their parents crazy and replace Frozen (on repeat). The Asian Pacific is brought to life. Both children and adults will love this picture. I'm a fan. I give it a 10 (spectacular) out of 10.
What was this, Disney’s Game of Thrones? All these seasons of build-up... and we get this? How many characters of importance died?
I’m disappointed.
sooo this was shit. The fact that everyone survived a battle no one should have is pure bullshit. and by everyone I mean the main characters.
Incredible ending to an incredible series of movies.
Tops Toy Story 3 for the most emotional ending so bring tissues!
This film is absolutely gorgeous but ultimately thats not enough. The story itself is fine but it's nowhere near the calibre of story telling I've come to expect from Pixar. Should have just released it as a Disney film and let Pixar work on something else.
I watched episode 7 of the Mandalorian today, so "The Rise of Skywalker" isn't even the best Star Wars I've watched in the last 24 hours.
This is 90 minutes of your life that you cannot get back… don’t watch it! Watching paint dry is more fun.
Did not like it.
I guess it will go well with star stricken audience that watches movies just because a movie star that they like is in it.
For me it is a bad movie.
Bad characters (after watching the movie ask yourself what did you actually learn about lead characters.
Not two rows worth of character development and also almost no interaction between them).
Bad heist plot (multiple plot holes and inconsistencies:
SPOILERS they drag Ann to toilet so they can steal the necklace and then act that they found it somewhere else because it slipped although it was pointed out that it can not slip since you need magnetic key to remove it, or at least wouldn't it be easier just to give her the fake necklace in the toilet saying that it fell.
Also later they drove off with the rest of the diamonds while the place was in lockdown by "best security team in the world" that just accepts "oh, look what i found in the pool" explanation...
Not to mention the movie is caled Ocean's Eight but there were seven women in a group which made Ann Hathaway's reveal at the end not so much of a shock, more of a meh.
There are many more plot holes but it would take longer to read them than to watch this movie.
About SJW in the movie
they managed to cover all "the colors of Benetton", Also it is marketed as a movie about an "All women's heist team",
but in the end they have a male in a team, but I guess he doesn't count and doesn't deserve an equal part of the loot.
Constance swiped one necklace and gets 38 million, but the guy that collected all the rest gets a tap on the shoulder, and no credit.
This movie has the worst plot of all the saga, a lot of WTF moments, and corrupts one of the best characters of the star wars universe. In regards to the plot, the rebels are being chased by the first order's destroyers at light speed, so Admiral Holdo, the lady with pink hair (they don't even care to give her a proper background) is the highest rank on duty (at the time, Price Leia is in the infirmary). She has a plan but tells none. That makes the rest of the crew think she will destroy everything the rebellion worked for, sosome of them go rogue. The conflict the film is based on a communication problem...
Like i said, theres A LOT of absurd scenes that will most certainly make you facepalm, like the moment when the spaceship's bridge of the rebels is blown to pieces you see Leia dead floating in space, when she suddenly starts flying back to the ship; or when Snoke, the most powerful man in the First Order gets killed by Ren's dumb trick...
Finally, in my opinion, this chapter corrupted (and even destroyed) Luke's character. Once a legend, he is portaited as a coward that even tried to kill his own nephew. The film tries to redeem him at the end, but it doesn't quite do it. If you expect a fan service fiIm, you will be satified, since there's a ton of references, but if you expect something more, i suggest you save your money.
