Unus Annus
Memento Mori.
Goodbye.
Thank you Mark and Ethan.
Great creativity and energy! Mark and Ethan have such a good chemistry between them in front of a camera. Having passed such a journey as a viewer with both of them has been an awesome experience. Glad I made it on time to join the ride.
Episode 366: The Unus Annus Annual Sleepover
Episode 367: Goodbye.
Whoever cataloged these, please dont delete them with the channel. I will literally pay you to keep them up. Not joking. Email me.
Glad that this Anime is still going strong. Such a fun setting with all the creative superpowers and they keep smoothing out each plot arc nicely.
I only wish TV of today had the balls that this show had.
They sure as hell don't make them like this any more.
I watched this show every week when it originally aired and just finished watching all the series again. What a great show! Brings me back to those simpler day of my youth.
This series is a beautiful duwang.
Dank pun incoming, and it's:
Ducktales?!
uwu
This Anime is amazing from Start to Finish Zero, i cant wait for s2
Did NOT expect to enjoy this show as much as I did. Serious emotional punches thrown into what feels like one great dream. Art is astoundingly good, music is great, characters are relatable, plot is amazing, but seriously, did I mention the art?
If you're like me and have been wondering whether or not you should watch Madoka for a while now, trust me: you definitely, undoubtedly should.
This show has almost a religious significance to me and of course countless others.
Growing up in the 70's, my first TV crush was on Veena (the Cage/Menagerie). The first girl I kissed was a blue-eyed blonde, and later I married a blue-eyed blonde, well, three of them, to be perfectly honest. I think it's Veena's fault. I never did score with a green Orion slave girl, though, despite what they say about them.
While there are many stinker episodes of Star Trek, there are also many masterpieces. "City on the Edge of Forever" is my favorite, for its emotional impact. Who could not fall in love with a young Joan Collins? Another noteworthy episode is "The Doomsday Machine," which is interesting because of its unique musical score, with different instruments/styles for each character. You can find a YouTube video about it, by user shemvonschroeck. I think the most important episode is "Mirror, Mirror", for its (probable) social commentary on American imperialism, the Vietnam War, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover's spying on members of Congress, and the CIA's use of torture and assassinations in the 60's. We are living in the "Mirror, Mirror" universe. The Utopian Star Trek universe is not our own.
If you like Star Trek, then of course there are the official sequels/spin-offs, but also you should check out Star Trek Continues. And if you like "Mirror, Mirror", then you should check out its Star Trek Continues counterpart, "Fairest of Them All".
I'm very torn over the original Star Trek series. I'm too young for it; I grew up in the 1980s with the original cast films - which I loved and still do - but my real adoration for Trek began with The Next Generation and then especially Deep Space Nine. The original Star Trek is a very different show from any of that, and I have to look at it with a different mindset to try and appreciate it. I don't have any nostalgia colouring my view.
To put it bluntly, it's horribly dated and oftentimes difficult to watch or enjoy. It's campy and looks very cheap. BUT, it's saving grace is how good the actors, writing and characters are. They brought the show to life, and at points made it a complete joy. For the time it was made it did incredible things with progressive storytelling and strong special effects.
I'm never going to love the original series, or even really get it. It's not my Star Trek, but it has its place in history and that can't be denied. I feel it got it chance to shine when it moved into the film format (conversely, TNG and the rest of the franchise worked far better on TV than as films).
Amazing show. Takes the whole concept of "magical girl" shows and throws it out the window. Very dark and emotional concepts thrown into a beautiful looking world with great characters. This is a must watch.
Some people are making a fuss that the timeline is confusing. Since this is the internet it gets blown out of proportion. You get a clear hint in one episode this is happening and its easy to figure it out afterwards. That being said, just watch it! It´s really good!
Ignoring the Hot Topic fandom and it's wave of LOLSORANDUMB humor that came from GIR, this is actually a damn good series. Really, it's easily one of Nickelodeon's best, making it even more of a shame that it got cancelled (I imagine that the black comedy probably contributed to it, though).
I wish I could give it a 10 (which I very very rarely do) -Season one is excellent in every aspect but one:
The timeline is blurry and confusing as f***.
Events taking place decades apart are only put into their place by a character dropping that something happened three decades ago in passing.
Normally that wouldn't be an issue, but most characters don't age!
I am still a bit confused as to why the bard doesn't age, since he seems to be human (I'm at Episode 6, so I hope they do explain it in one of the last episodes, but I doubt it)
That combinations makes it really hard to keep track of what happened before, what happened after and what happens at the same time.
P.S.: I don't know the books, so I have no idea if they had the same problems.
I took a look at the descriptions for the books though and some elements seem to coincide with the first prequel book. So I assume they are meshing prequel and original books together somehow.
This series gives you a really cool insight into Norman's life, US scenery, and the motorcycle/biker culture/lifestyle. Love it!!!
I HAVE SEEN EVERY SINGLE EPISODE SO FAR. THIS IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE SHOW OF ALL TIME. I just wish that Darryl and Caroll would get together already.
Ends on cliff hanger. Starts new ep. 5 minutes in its good. next 40 minutes its quite disappointing. Ends on cliff hanger. Repeat.
