I am a huge fan of Hayley Atwell, and I think this show is a great role for her. I look forward to seeing more of this show, the first two episodes have kept me glued to the screen, I love the character development so far, I feel the character she plays is revealing herself to us like the many layers in an onion, just how a good lead should be.
I am a fan of Michael's and was sad to see him leave NCIS so I was excited to see him lead his own show, that said while its an ok show I too don't see much renew potential. The main character also seems rather isolated without any real connections to other characters, despite being surrounded by them, I am hoping that develops more as the show progresses.
On the surface a silly and meaningless show, however the great chemistry of the cast and the well thought out plots and subtle life meanings hidden between the jokes make this show a great watch.
Amazing sendoff for Bobbi and Hunter. They really got the formula right in the last minutes of the show. Hard not to shed a tear even knowing they will have their own show. I can't think of a more fitting way to have bid them farewell.
I tried but really struggled to get through a single episode. Highly not recommended. This stuff died in the 80's.
Seems good so far, though while the story is very different I was surprised to see another railway historical show after hell on wheels.
Only just watched this series despite it being 5 years old. I was hooked and really enjoyed the style and presentation of this documentary series. I was sad when it was over.
I learned an incredible amount about Roman History and therefore my own history. While I knew some of the modern day influences of the roman empire I was surprised to learn many that I was unaware of from this series.
It is quite extraordinary to think how much influence they have had and how rome really shaped the world we know.
Guilt or innocence aside, this really does show how flawed the legal system in the US is. And I assume this is probably similar in most western countries. The lawyers must feel like they are fighting an uphill battle against a system which claims to presume innocense but clearly assumes guilt.
I really enjoy this show. It did change a lot form Season 1 moving from a local metro law enforcement to a major crimes division. Something about the chemistry between Poppy and Dylan keeps me hooked.
About the usual quality of Lopez's acting. I guess they are trying to make the role sexy or such. Watchable but not amazing.
The attention to period detail and the quality of the acting was well above standard. I dare to say that Sean Bean carried this series. As previously stated the plot was underwhelming and stretched. It could have been covered in a movie easily. I was also dissapointed with the ending. It was way to contrived and left me dissatisfied.
I am glad to have watched it though for the atmosphere coming from sets, clothing and that visible breath was inspiring.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this show. However I was hooked from the start, the atmosphere is quite unique, and I can only describe it as Dickensian. The combination of cinematography, music and fantastic casting really transports one off to a whole new world where dickens reigned supreme.
I recommend anyone check this out, not just fans of period drama.
