When did the Aussies start making great tv like this? With zombies, love triangles, murder, mystery and drama, it delivers a great story with minimal special affects. Well worth a watch.
Recently found this show on Netflix and quickly binged all 3 seasons. I really enjoyed the first 2 seasons but the third fell short for me. I am glad however that there was a concrete ending and it didn't end on a cliffhanger. I just wish season 3 was more cohesive and didn't have the added nonsensical plot lines. Still very much enjoyed this show. Great acting by all involved.
what a waste is all I can say.
Waited months too see this after stumbling across the trailer. Oh Lord what a waste of time...
What a complete waist of time this is a terrible movie very bad acting there are veteran actors like Bruce Willis and Thomas Jane in this who act like complete amateurs. The story sucks the effects suck the so called aliens act more like zombies. This is definitely on the list of one of the worst movies of the year if not ever made. Bruce Willis and Thomas jane need to be more selective on the roles they choose next time. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME ON THIS PIECE OF :poop::poop::poop::poop: it is boring and not at all entertaining.
i just know the "i got one" will be ted telling rebecca he's leaving and im not ready :sob:
I loved the first season of this reboot as much as I loved the original that is why I was longing for season 2. An important part of the show has been the romantic relation between Ben and Addison, she was the reason why he got into the accelerator in the first place. I don't like the direction season 2 has taken breaking the relationship by inserting a 3 year gap. That in my humble opinion is very bad. I don't see a way they can put it straight without doing a mess
I miss the days of subtle political messaging. lazy writing
Why do they not have Rollins listed in the cast on Trakt.tv lately? She's in the episodes so she should be listed under actors.
Ok Tyler Sheridan did not disappoint with this one so far, two episodes in and loving it. Great cast and the story keeps getting better, not for the faint of heart, the show has a lot of violence and scant language.
If Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown are your jam, do not miss this one.
Just finished watching a couple of episodes. Firstly the cast is solid and the show has done a great job capturing the magic/realistic nature of the wild west. Plus there are some darker sides of the lawless of the times. I especially enjoyed the monologue coming from the young lead female lead. I hope this show will be part shocking (Brutality), informative, sad, exhilarating and picturesque. I just hope they don't mix too much romance into the storyline!
Another brilliant episode of tv. This season has just been knocking it out of the park imo. The wait was worth it.
Man, watching those scenes in 2025 were so hard. Honestly, as much as I want to see more of Gordon on this show, I don't think the crew made the right decision here. I hope that LaMarr was right about there being alternate timelines in this universe, because I really hope that future still exists out there in some form. I don't think he was being selfish at all.
I must confess that i was afraid where this episode was going, but damm that was some good writing
The Orville does it again!
The writers are bringing their A game in this season, not that the others were anything to whine about.
This is truly what I loved about Star Trek from days of old. Using an emphasis on culture differences between different alien races to provoke thought, challenge norms, ideas, and without smacking the viewer in the face, the question posed is 'what would you do'?
This was a beautifully crafted episode that gave it depth, the topic needed to be given the time to be laid out before the viewer for proper and due care of the subject matter. There were a number of strong ethical questions, personal, and presented the positive and also the harsh negative outcomes.
I am really enjoying The Orville this season. There is far less comedy in this season but I think personally I like the challenge of the subject matter. And yes I'd like to see some more of the comedic episodes too, but if there's a bit of this and some of that with this writing team, bring it on.
Congratulations The Orville cast, crew, writers, another superb piece.
And this, dear writers of contemporary Star Trek, is how you handle a topic like that.
I'm, sadly, not surprised about the rating (68 % at the time of writing) and some comments in regards to this episode. To each his own but I thouroghly enjoyed it.
It was past overdue that Klyden left the ship. I never liked him but there was no way after this he could have stayed. Don't think we've seen the last of him.
Bortus still hasn't performed "My Heart Will Go On"
The soundtrack in this episode is top notch.
And I mean, so is everything else, I suppose.
I was absolutely loving the episode, until Ty — a child — casually walked out of the Orville, no authorization required, he literally just opened the door and left. That broke the episode, for me, even more so when you consider that was a crucial plot element for the big, shocking twist to be revealed. I can't believe Brannon Braga, a Star Trek: TNG veteran, wrote something as atrocious as that.
Everything else about this episode was utterly excellent and this would have been a sci-fi masterpiece, if it all didn't depend on that one badly written scene.
BTW don’t bother with this show. Weak plot. Piss poor writing. Terrible edit job. Broken story line. And the last 2 episodes won’t make sense. Save your time & go watch something else.
Zzzzzzzzz.... Looks more like an insane asylum in space than spaceship on a mission.
For the likes of me I can't find one sane pearson on that ship, and not in a good way.
It looks like everyone is acting in their own solo show,
and then someone took all the pieces and made Nightflyers.
I love that even close to death, Walt and Henry still bicker like a bunch of old hens. True friendship there.
"Directed by Jonathan Frakes". Guest stars aren't always in front of the camera :)
Also, Charlize Theron <3
Up next, Natalie Portman? Besides the episode itself, guest stars are becoming something to look forward in "The Orville".
This show has turned up to be quite a pleasant surprise, it's undeniably very "Star Trek" at heart. It feels odd to admit that, as a Star Trek fan, I'm actually enjoying this more than "Star Trek: Discovery".
This episode was great fun. All the "waaa! I hate musicals" children can, in the words of Abraham "suck my nuts".
P.S: I'm pretty sure singing "Runnin' home to you", on key, to your girlfriend will earn you unlimited sex for the rest of your life.
Underrated
One of the best vampire movies ever!
I'm going to have to strongly disagree with the negative reviews.
I've never watched any Criminal Minds, but I absolutely love this Beyond Borders. Having to deal with the most craziest scenarios I've ever heard of, plus the fact that these investigations are being dealt with in foreign countries/overseas with different laws & ethics. makes it that much more interesting.
Definitely give it a shot if you are looking for something new to watch. Everyone's opinion about shows are different. Don't allow a negative review impact your decision on picking up a new show. Plus, ITS BEEN RENEWED! Woohooooo!! Bring on Season 2!! :-D
"Oh, sweetheart... That's not chicken."
Mick - 1. Sabrina - 0.
I'm absolutely loving this show so far. Dee can do no wrong!
Why do film studios have to spell stuff out for us , we are not idiots. The fact that we knew Adaline never aged from the start was a bad move. The studio should have kept us guessing...make the audience work. Why was Adaline on the Run?, Why did she have to keep changing identities?. The big reveal should have been when Adaline met Ellis' father. A great film but could have been so much better. As soon as this movie hits blu ray. I am going to make my own edit.
Against all the critics I read, I just loved the movie. Visually stunning and brlliant performances by Pratt and Lawrence. Definitly worths watch this one on cinema.
So much more than a love story in space (lazy critics), this is a visually beautiful space epic. Its Gravity meets Titanic meets Silent Running. Recommended.
