Well yeah she lied and used basically anyone to get a job in a shitty cutthroat business, that’s it. And how disrespectful can you be not even having the decency to wait 5 minutes for a clearly important game to end? This was just annoying.
I mean I could watch a jacked and topless Jake Gyllenhaal forever don’t get me wrong - but what on earth happened in the water, did Michael Bay take over from there?!
Had no idea what it was about or what was going to happen — devoured every minute of it with the same curiosity and joy Bella passed on throughout the film. Incredible world that Lanthimos created there and possibly Emma Stones best role so far. Loved the dynamic with Marc Ruffalo, he was crazy good as always.
For me though, the magic slowly faded sometime during the Paris chapter, the Alfie bit felt like it came out of nowhere and a bit too rushed regarding the overall pleasantly slow pace in the first half of the film - then again: I wanted to see him as a goat so bad, perfect last scene!
The way they created an entire world in this film that made you feel like all irrationality and weirdness is entirely rational and just makes perfect sense in this beautifully weird but wonderful cosmos was magical.
The kids made up for everything the adults lacked in. Awful acting by Til Schweiger, weak dialogues and over the top stereotypes - Emilios performance carried the entire film, well fucking done.
Story was meh but Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo and Walker Scobell absolutely nailed it - what a dynamic!
If the clown wasn’t so creepy it would‘ve been great..
Good cast, enjoyed it overall as it’s just nice and easy to watch, but nothing more really.
I found the underwater scene pretty weird and not at all fitting in the Mary Poppins style but loved the bit with the bowl, great idea and a nice follow up to the painting bit in the original but still never on the same level unfortunately.
That literally is the most creepy baby ever.
Will Smith absolutely nailed it.
twistception, chapeau deutschland. didn't see that one coming.
This was very sweet and…
BEN MCKENZIE??????? 10/10 for that
Stephen you absolute legend
..and did I just watch a frog gangbang there?
Honestly just decided to watch this film because of Riz Ahmed, who I’d even watch in a 119 minute commercial and still be content. Sadly even he wasn’t at his best, just like Luke Wilson, who I was really happy to unexpectedly see. Interesting idea that, combined with the entire mood and style, almost felt a little bit like a Lanthimus-Anderson crossover. Almost. It lacked a little bit (too much) of everything, weak story that wasn’t really able to carry the idea across just right, weak chemistry, weak setting. Would’ve loved a bit more detail and depth which is why in the end, despite the really slow pace, all felt a bit rushed and unnatural. I missed feeling like being in the story with them rather than just watching two actors act a screenplay they’ve been practicing.
cool visuals but apart from that.. fair?!
Took me an hour to figure out that Hugh Grant is talking like Rick Gervais, might take forever to figure out why though
The fuck did I just watch? I get the idea they tried to sell here but… why? Tried way too hard there. Swan Song made almost the exact idea way more enjoyable to watch by keeping it down to what really matters. Nice to see Paul Mescal again though.
Incredibly well played by Tye, what a joy to watch his character. Love Ana de Armas although I’m not sure what to think of the story itself, this had so much potential.
Mad cast, what a perfect match. Loved the style. Hail Burger King :hamburger:
I rarely end a film early, but 20 minutes of this was enough, 1312
Loved Barry and the ending scene was beautiful and definitely scored an extra point.
Impressively crap performance by literally anyone but Frederick. Carried the entire film at an age that young, incredibly talented.
Seu Jorge was the best thing about this movie, I now need him to sit around and sing in every other Wes Anderson film.
The only reason I started and kept watching was Jamie Dornan - and then they killed him off first! Now I want some of that honey.
Everything the story lacked Mahershala Ali made up for a gazillion times, what an unexpectedly beautiful watch.
Pretty average but it felt so good to see the rom com actors I grew up with back in something new. Also can’t go wrong with Jesse Williams.
Sadly made me cringe wayy to often..
This film gave me a headache but I just couldn’t stop looking at Ana de Armas.
What first felt like a sweet Wes Anderson style film took a very dark turn, wow. Enjoyed seeing Adam Brody again though.
Oh my god whose is it now!!!
