So I just got back home from watching it and I have to admit that it was a total waste of time and money.
As soon as the baby was introduced and it was said that Dom needs to pick his name, I immediately told my friend that his name will be Brian, and it was.
The chase scene on the ice was so stupid that it ruined the entire movie for me. They are being chased and suddenly, out of nowhere, Hobbs's car rams a chaser's car head on from the side.
At the same scene Charlize Theron character says that the submarine is moving too slow and it won't make it before the cars, a second later the submarine goes up and somehow catches up with the cars and keeps up with them.
At the end Dom blew up a nuclear submarine, a stupid thing on it's own but then a massive fire wave from the exposition is blocked by 4 cars leaving Dom not even slightly scorched.
Yes, the movie has funny moments but comedy genre movies have more funny moment.
I have never rated a movie so low but the holes are just too stupid.
Gets into the heart and soul of what it means to be an actor in Star Trek. Shatner had fantastic talks with each of the captains, and talked about how the role affected them. I particularly loved the conversation he had with Patrick Stewart.
The first season is great but the writing gets worse by the season, with characters becoming incredibly stale and stories becoming increasingly repetitive.
Rather annoying, don't like these Drama + Comedy mixes. Misses longer plots.
This show just get crappyer and crappyer after each episode...
I actually went into this movie with the idea that's it's an historic piece about actual events!
Just imagine my surprise when aliens started showing up. I seriously considered turning it off, but I stayed.
Although this doesn't fit the recent works of either Damon nor Pascal, i enjoyed their batter and lightness. The action is nice and doesn't take itself too seriously, and most important - the characters aren't dumb!
So overall, just tune yourself before watching it, take it easy, and I believe you'll enjoy. Especially if you don't have anything else to watch - but don't clear out your day for this.
For me, watching this the one time only is enough. 7/10.
I enjoy it thoroughly. Very good action scenes, nice visuals and neat story. The battles were pretty good and you will not get bored. The duration of the movie was superb with no dragged out points
The storyline is very interesting, but the movie is a mess.
Truly a beautiful story told in a very interesting and emotional way. The success of one of the greatest hero\brand in the world contrast with the story of his recently "discovered" cocreator. Bill Finger's credits is not just a win for his family or his legacy, is a win for what is right and what is fair, after all, isn't that what Batman is all about?
Another version of people running around attempting to find essential supplies and avoid zombie infection. Zombie plots are zombie plots... nothing fresh here, except that apparently Glenn Close is having difficulty getting memorable acting gigs. A new season of "Damages" would be much more enjoyable than yet another zombie production.
they should stop. now.
Woah, splendid representation of what could happen if you sit down and actually talk to people and about yourself, show interest in a person. What a difference it could make and how people can be influenced. Glad I finally got around to seeing it.
one of the best 80's teen movies of all-time.......the cast was perfect
Low budget sci-fi, which seems promising on first look, but soon starts squeaking from multiple directions. For me it fits into category of "fill" series, which I watch when I have nothing better to do. My opinion is based on 9 watched episodes.
Few examples: [Minor spoilers]
*Jodelle Ferland aka Six wants to play immature girl, but is not really working. Everyone acts like she is about 14 years old, but she is clearly much older than the character she is playing, which is funny.
*I've also seen multiple attempts of funny scenes, but show didn't get anything more than "huehueh" from me.
*Four is a guy from traditional samurai family. I always facepalm when I see their soldiers "going to battle", with traditional samurai armor, drop their swords and start shooting with guns. (And no, their armor is not bulletproof).
Worst WWII movie I have ever seen. Very poor special effects. Not worth the time. Mario VanPeebles is not a good movie maker low budget. I love Nick Cage but not in this. Want to see a good WWII movie watch Pearl Harbor made a while ago but beats the hell out of this. I can't say enough bad about this movie. Low budget obviously
Wow! This was an unexpected surprise. If you have ever read a comic, watched a Marvel movie, or maybe even thought 1960's Batman was great, this is for you. It puts context and meaning around the heroes we have (almost) all enjoyed - and all done in an engaging way. Brilliant.
Once in a while you need a silly movie. A movie that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but entertains and gets a few of the jokes right. That's what xXx: Return of Xander Cage's purpose in this world is.
I grabbed a few beers and watch this on the weekend and I had a blast. Yes, the story isn't that great. Yes, the CGI looks atrocious half of the time. If you watched this expecting a good story and world-class CGI footage after the previous two movies (The second one in particular; Sorry'n'sh*t, Ice Cube!), I dare to say the fault lies with you.
If you're in the mood for silly action with a few good actors (Note: Actors, not characters.), this will be your jam.
See you guys in the comments section for the sequel. We all know you'll be back.
I finished Beware The Batman aka Batman and the Outsiders. The DC animated TV shows are always fantastic, at least the ones i have seen so far. I actually missed this show existence when it first aired and i am sad that it only last one season. Despite its butchering (heh) of villains like Professor Pyg i could accept it was a new interpretation and the show was fun while being gritty. On the note of villains i did like that they were not conventional in choosing their characters to go against a young Bruce, digging deep or at least outside the normal for his foes. I have found a new found love for Anarky and i enjoyed the determined Harvey Dent. I actually had a theory for a while that they were the same person, an extension of his madness before it was formed into Two-Face but of course that turned out to just be a theory.
The active Alfred and his ties with Deathstoke also a great small saga. I want more of this world. Definitely recommend for any DC fans when you are looking for some easy watching.
The scene on the train at the end made the whole episode worth watching.
Great storytelling! Just not my style...
I went to see this movie with great expectations and left a little bit disappointed. Not because this movie is bad. Not in any way! There are some beautiful shots, great use of color and very good dialogue. I would even say that the dialogue between Ben Foster and Chris Pine is the best I have seen in a movie in 2016.
But I still left disappointed. Maybe it was because the music really didn't stand out or maybe because everything the movie told I expected to happen. It just needed an extra sparkle of surprise to get me fully involved. Sadly that sparkle never came. There just wan't a moment where I went from: "I'm watching a movie" to "I'm in the movie".
If you love movies you will love Hell or High Water. Just don't expect to see something that totally blows you mind.
Shallow acting, under developed characters, confusing plot, pointless twist at end. Bruce Willis = Straight To DVD
I see you shiver with antici......................pation
This is an epic remake, something else that Hollywood has trouble doing -- to remake a film on this scale that finds new audiences year after year, after year. Brilliant, wonderful, every bit of it. A must, must see. Just plain excellent!
A good bit of fun fantasy. Some great visuals and designs. Interesting ideas too, even if they don't always make much sense, it's still a good time. kids should love this.
A deeply flawed film that could have been so much more. Except for the fact that the screenplay is horrible.
The good points are the Bruce Campbell appearance, Jonah Jameson and I forget what else lol.
Other than that you have an overly bitchy MJ, a miscast Eddie Brock, Harry Osbourne forgetting he is mad at Peter. As well as evil Peter just being more of a dork who likes Jazz music and thinks he is the Mask.
Dunst’s MJ started out likable in the first film. She was written as too stand offish in the sequels though. The engagement subplot goes nowhere. As do most of the subplots.
This flick could have been pretty good if:
A. They dropped The Sandman
B. The cast someone else as Eddie Brock
C. The didn't do that dumb dancing crap
With that being said, it wasn't as bad as I remembered. It just drops off in the last 20 minutes.
I just LOVE this movie. It has great humor, great action scenes and a powerful message: sometimes you have to give up your dreams to be the person everyone needs you to be.
Every time I watch it, I find myself rooting for this guy even though I already know everything that it's gonna happen.
Great super hero movie!
One of the few prequels I know that surpasses the original! Very entertaining & with a great message: "Sometimes you have to give up your dreams for the greater good".
Every time it's over I feel like I got punched in the fucking heart. And I basically start counting days till I'll be ready to watch it again. There will never be movies more soulful, profound, engaging and gripping with everything from fights and visuals to the deep meaningful connections between the characters and the explorations of grant purposes and philosophical differences. Never. I will love this eternally. I wish I could rate it more than ten. There are movies and then there's Lotr. To be honest I have no fitting words to describe this, no funny remarks or beautiful epithets and definitely no slights. I'm just thankful this exists and I got to experience watching it. I'm out.
