Kinda confusing how Heart of Archness Part 1-3 are not here, and instead they are marked as Specials.
It's disheartening to read comments criticizing the series for not living up to the standards set by previous seasons and for lacking action in some episodes. I advise viewers to have patience because there is undoubtedly a bigger plan in store for the series, masterminded by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, which will likely involve other shows dedicated to other characters.
i respect differing opinions, but I think it's important to recognize the unique nature of The Mandalorian. It's a show that blends genres and explores the Star Wars universe in exciting ways. It's not just about flashy action scenes, but also about character development and building a world that feels authentic and immersive.
Overall, while some viewers may feel disappointed with certain aspects of the third season, I believe it's worth sticking with the series and giving it a chance to fully unfold. With Filoni and Favreau at the helm, I have no doubt that there are some exciting surprises and twists in store for us.
I fcking loved this season. I can't agree with people who said it's not as good as the first season, it's actually better. All the characters have fantastic storylines and develop beautifully. Their bond is clear and so loving and makes for many tear-jerking moments. The mysteries are slowly revealing themselves, which I love. And I'm sorry but they're so fcking badass, all the way through and I LOVE that they're refusing to be victims and actually fight back. But go off, I guess. Shrug
Charles Vane, what a character, so deep.
Love Charles, do it for Charles.
"Congratulations on your baptism..."
This movie gave me the diarrheas till Easters. Gotta see the movie.
just brilliant...
Joaquin Phoenix plays a PI in a 70s California beach down, given three separate cases to investigate. He attempts to do so through a haze of drugs, and as he starts to get a grip on his work he begins to lose his grip on reality.
Forget the synopsis though. You just have to sit back and drink it all in. The biggest trick Anderson manages to pull here is making a film that perhaps doesn’t ‘make sense’ at first viewing, but isn’t frustrating or difficult to watch.
Everything about Inherent Vice suckered me right in. The hazy, smoke-filled cinematography, the writing, the music, the odd but hilarious sense of humour, the neo-noir plot that slowly falls to bits… it all kept me glued to the screen and as the credits rolled I only wanted to press play again.
Inherent Vice may be divisive, but it’s without a doubt one of the most beautiful and original films of the last few years.

I was surprised by this movie. I've read some negative stuff on how the characters are stereotypical high schoolers, and the music is good but too focused on old-school metal, and the character arcs are too obvious. Let's respond to these.
Stereotypes often exist because they are real to some degree. Hunter being an outcast because of his style choices is not an outdated concept. This continues to be truth. There are jocks, rich kids, quiet girls, snobby girls, nerds, metal-heads, all kinds of people, and they behave in relatively standard ways. Some people transcend groups or become members of more than one, like Kevin being a bit of a metal-head nerd or Kendall being a quiet member of the snobby group. Having extraordinarily complex high school students in abundance would be an exception to normal life. I have no problem with leaning on stereotypes at this age.
If the kids want to base their sound on old-school metal at the expense of newer stuff (or The White Stripes) is their prerogative. Getting offended because they don't appreciate all types of music seems foolish. Kids like what they like, and you don't have to understand. I liked the music.
I read one comment about the "douche turned respectable" trope played out. That will never be played out, because watching a character get their comeuppance or simply having a light turn on is still a basic plot line for a movie to follow. This movie, though, coupled Hunter's singular desire to have a bitchin' band with Kevin's balanced life was good for both of them in that they came to respect each other. Emily as a sweet girl that has a bit of a screw loose was a fun concept. The relationship between Hunter and Kevin's band with Clay's band was interesting, as Clay surprised me with his positive attitude. Kept waiting for that shoe to drop.
I liked the movie a lot. It will end up being a guilty pleasure, because I imagine no one else will have seen it. I loved the three main characters, especially Isis Hainsworth as Emily. I loved the music development of the band. The plot was decent enough, although I'll never know why Hunter ended up in detox, as that wasn't his problem. I enjoyed it, though, and I look forward to watching it again.
