40 some odd years after I saw it for the first time, I sat mesmerized through the entire movie. They just don't make them like this anymore.
Fantastic movie, It was poorly (IMHO) remade years later. This one is obviously dated, but plays well even now.
It's not often that you can say a sequel is 'arguably' as good as the original, but, in this case it is true.
Even after 30 years, it still holds up, great cast, great story, great acting, great buddy flick.
I always forget just how good this movie is.
Not a bad movie, had most of the relevant bits figure out about 1/3 of the way into the movie though.
It is not a great movie, but it is a good movie, some (most) of the special effects are bad, but the story itself is fantastic.
Don't judge this move too harshly, it is essential 80's entertainment.
A very well put together 'docu-drama'. A great cast with great direction telling the story of the amazing uncovering of one of the biggest cover-ups.
Wow, this movie is bad, not just a little bad, but all bad. I can't think of anything positive to say about this piece of crap.
An absolute classic, they just don't make movies like this anymore.
This movie is just bad on so many levels
A testament to Ayn Rand and her philosophical beliefs.
I need 5 words, and this film doesn't deserve 5 words, the only word this film deserves is meh.
I remember seeing this when it first came out, it was unique, it was groundbreaking, it was well directed and well acted. Today it seems almost predictable, this does not make it a bad movie, just makes you realize how many other movies copied something from this one.
Excellent Movie, fairly true to the novel, definitely deserving of a sequel!
A rather odd movie. Might be better the second watching?
Much better than the remake!
More about a mad scientist than the actual tarantula. But still a classic and worth a watch.
Starting to show its age, but still a good movie.
Maybe I'm a sucker, but I love this movie! Great music, a good story, graphic novel style violence, 50's Greasers mixed with 80's punk. Just a lot of fun to watch.
It's like Shyamalan, tries too hard now, it was an OK movie, good enough where I didn't feel like I wasted my time watching it, but not good enough to seek out to watch again. The Unbreakable reference at the end was fun, wonder if there will be a sequel
AKA Monster from the Prehistoric Island, typical Japanese monster movie, you either love them or hate them, this one is about average for it's age, maybe a little better than average.
A made-for-TV disaster. Dull, cheap and boring, don't waste your time.
One of the funnest and funniest movies ever made.
An interesting concept, that was well played out, the (very) ending has a few surprises.
Had a very "M. Night Shyamalan" feel to it, I enjoyed it and would likely watch it again.
King Author dies in the first part of the movie, so the title is misleading Otherwise the acting is weak, and the pace is slow, not a horrible movie, but definitely not a great one either.
AKA Destined to be Ingested - not sure which title is worse, or if either is as bad as the actual movie
Interesting from a historical perspective, but slow and drawn out.
