I laughed a lot but I have to admit it's starting to feel a bit samey. Maybe it's time to end it.
So, yeah, it's possible to get better with the second album, even if the first one was a masterpiece.
The longer season makes the overarching story feel a bit streched at times, but it remains really solid and the single episodes are almost always quite brilliant, so who cares? Plus, the last four or five episodes are really great, with a gripping crescendo and a closing cliffhanger that promises a more ambitious third season and the will to keep things fresh by shaking up the status quo. Thumbs up.
This is some frankly amazing shit. The level of fun, drama, zingers, beautiful writing, great directing, amazing acting, plot twists, tension, laughs, burns, emotions... Plus, I'm constantly amazed at how it makes me get emotional for people I despise. The best show on TV.

I'm astonished by the rapidity with which this goes from "Interesting, fun, at times quite deep" in the first half of the season to "What the fuck, this is a masterpiece" in the second hallf of the season.
Incredibly well written and acted, it's got an amazing way of subverting cliches and expectations and it's so good at balacing laughs, tension, drama, emotion.
Well, first of all, how nice it is to "be" in Hawaii for six hours. That being said, this is a very good show, wonderfully acted, funny, entertaining, sad, with lots of stuff to say, even if sometimes it's a bit goofy in how it says those things. It kinda does the Succession trick of making you care for people you despise because you nonetheless can see some humanity, some part of yourself, in them. And Alexandra Daddario deserves a better career.

It takes two or three episodes to get the rhythm but by then the series becomes amazing. Great writing, ambitious direction, a very good cast, nice themes and an actually marvelous actress.
I think the first half of the last season is a great return to form, that finally manages to get back to the level of excellence that Bojack Horseman always promised but only in season 3 consistently reached. Also, I like the vibe, how it's preparing the ending by reflecting on the past and touching an all characters. Very, very good. Let's see how it ends.

The last two episodes are amazing but for some reason I expected the whole season to be on that level. But still, it's fun and smart.
Bluey's third season (or at leats the part already available on Disney+) confirms and underlines what I already knew: it's the best show on TV. I already said I everything I had to say when I wrote about it after watching the first two seasons so I got nothing else to add besides bonjour pavlova!
The usual Bojack: sometimes it's great, sometimes it's decent, sometimes it's amazing.
A lovely show, that makes both me and my daughter laugh so much with its monty pythonesque humour but is also touching, lovingly real, crazily imaginative. What a huge surprise.
I'm not sure who needs someone else saying that this is the best season of The Wire and one of the best seasons of television ever but fuck yeah it is. The school theme is amazingly added to the show, it merges perfectly with everything else going on and it's excruciatingly perfect drama. By the end of the season you are literally scared to see what's gonna happen.
A good season, with some great moments, but also some not so great ones, and an almost beautiful ending. It would be nice, though, if death meant something in this show. Also, maybe the Whedon family uses the whole "person possessed by god-like being" thing a bit too much.
Talk about going out with a bang. This is an amazing season with one of the best finales ever. Wow.
OK, it's true, it's much less gripping than usual, but come on, you're making it bigger than it is. It's still a beautifully written and acted show, and I kind of liked the slowdown, the setting up stuff for the final season and the dedication to characters and relationships. Plus, when it wanted, it still was emotionally quite strong.

Finally a season that fullfills all the potential and is on par with what I've been hearing about this show. The underwater episode and the abortion one are amazing but almost everything is top notch.
Fuck House of Cards and all the other Netflix series, this is the one. And this season, jesus, is more amazing, deep, tense and moving than ever. Wow.
A couple of episodes are a bit flat but honestly that's nitpicking. The main themes of depression, loss, and love troubles are all incredibly well written and thought out, the supporting cast is much more explored than in the past (and with two great episodes devoted to them) and the last four episodes are amazing. Plus, a full episode made only of tracking shots, and not just for showing off, but with great depth in terms of storytelling. If you're not watching this, I can't even... whatever, fuck off.

The first few episodes are honestly sub par, but then the season takes off and gives us a great finale for one of the best series in the last few years.
My thoughts while watching episode 1:
- this is visually charming;
- how much did they spend for the cast?;
- mh, actually, visually, I like it less than I thought;
- oh, so it's a super super loyal adaptation of the comicbook? No, wait, someone told me there's a twist;
- jeez, keeping the dialogues exactly as they were in the comicbook is not a great idea. They are meant to be read, they feel really stiff in a visual medium;
- this is incredibly boring;
- oh, so that's the twist. I kike it. OK, you have my curiosity.
My thoughts while watching episode 2:

- what? We are still at minute 15? Fuck it, I'm giving up, there's no point, I'm literally falling asleep.
Now, this clearly is a superficial judgment and I'm sure that if I insisted and watched the rest of it I wouldn't hate it but I'm at a point in my life where if I'm watching a TV show, I'm incredibly bored and I think the best case scenario is "I didn't hate it", well, I can invest my time in something else.
I'm not sure if it is better than season one but I’m sure it's got that sense of confidence based on acquired knowledge of what you are doing, the characters, the setting, everything. They know what they are doing, they are confident, they are effective. What a good show.
Under the Banner of Heaven made me feel constantly disturbed for seven consecutive episodes and not because of the gruesome deaths (even though they don't help) but because I reached a point where the religious theme, and especially if religious organizations are the topic, I'm just overly disturbed. Every time it started showing manipulation, officials spewing lies, and the whole lovely approach to women, I was all physically tense, snorting and huffing and puffing, visibly anxious, while spectator number 2 held my hand trying to calm me down. Jesus. That being said, Andrew Garfield is great, the whole cast of actors is really effective, it's beautifully shot (even though there's a palpable step down after the first two David MacKenzie directed episodes), the detective story plot works well and the feeling of fingernails scratching on the chalkboard never goes away.
