Trying to set up the new season in too little time makes this a bit of a bloated mess in my opinion. Still very excited to watch the rest of the season.
And that's how you do it. So true to the source material and it pays off. The changes they do make stick the landing just fine.
Great episode. This show is maturing in a very good way. Dafne Keen and Amir Wilson are growing up and their acting is getting better and better. To have James McAvoy and Ruth Wilson as 'side characters' is just ridiculous and I love it.
There's something about this season that I don't like. It's like every time I start watching an episode I am missing something. It feels like I missed the first 15 minutes and being thrown in to the middle of a new story. It prevents me from getting into the story and honestly makes me forget what happened in previous episodes. It's too much all over the place for me.
This show has so many faces and I find every one of them satisfying.
One of the best episodes thus far. I really enjoy seeing Alex Hernandez getting screentime. Mafia 3 wasn't great but he was the best thing about it. Really think he deserves this. Just as happy for Grace Moretz. Finally she get's a chance to shine in a good project after so many flops.
Only now noticed that Tommy Constantine is Lincoln Clay from the Mafia 3 game. Cool to see him (Alex Hernandez) in a decent show.
Great season! I liked the finale of season 1 a bit more but this was still a very solid conclusion to fantastic second season.
I don't see The Mysterious Benedict Society as a perfect show, but I really liked this finale. Tony Hale got the most out of his dubble role in this episode and I loved how he played off of himself. The show is still very original in it's story and there are some great people in the cast. Will definitely keep watching.
Ps: How did I never notice that Milligan is Opie (Ryan Hurst) from Sons of Anarchy? Man i'm jealous of that hair and beard.
Maybe the hype got to me, but for me this show wasn't a masterpiece. I think I liked 50% of the episodes. The show is really slow, predictable and even boring at times. The pacing really started to annoy me after the first few episodes. Luckily it picked up somewhat in episode 5 & 6, but after that I only really liked episode 10 and the finale. It's just taste and preference to be honest. I do understand and see why people love this show, it just wasn't always my cup of tea.
Just an okay episode. Hope it picks up the pace again next week.
Not the best episode this season, but still really decent. This show just delivers weekly.
The movie grew on me very fast. I was diagnosed with Aspergers when I was 18 (36 now). It's such a great choice to give Leo Long this role. He's not playing a neurodivergent person, he actually is one. Loved the performances by Ed Skrein and Eleanor Matsuura too.
This show is an odd one. It's good, but not many people will like every episode. It touches on all kinds of horror and there'll probably be a couple of episodes you'll find straight up boring or even bad. For me it was really hit or miss aswell. I liked episodes 2, 1 and 4 the best (in that order). After that it went down hill even though episode 6 had a promising build up. I do hope we get a second season.
I really enjoyed this episode and think it's one of the better one together with episode 18. Especially Eugene and Negan had some really strong scenes.
This show is so hit or miss for me. I really like some of the murder case episodes like the girl on the traintracks and the body in the sleeping bag. I don't care much for the paranormal episodes. That's just not really my cup of tea.
It's an okay movie but Pinnochio's design ruined a lot for me. He just doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the world. A world with some beautiful animation work. Tom Hanks is a decent and likeable Geppetto but Jiminy Cricket is straight up annoying. After hearing him call Pinnochio 'Pinoke' for the umpteenth time I was just done with the character. The accent was a bit much to for me as well. The story is simple and really true to the original and I can respect that even though I'm afraid that the story will have problems fitting in in 2022.
This show had a slow and not very promissing start but it kept getting better and better. And now I feel bad to see it end after three seasons. I will remember the show for it's originality, likeable cast, cool fightscenes and good writing.
Kind of mehh. For me the Sanderson Sisters didn't fit this modern setting and didn't match with the rest of the cast. If it wasn't for Midler's performance as Winifred this would have been a 4 or a 5 for me.
I actually really enjoyed this episode. Especially the last part had that early seasons TWD feel and gore. Yes the first part of the episode was slow paced and like the last episode kind of boring but what is was setting up worked out.
As a 90's kid born in 1986 this movie brought up a lot of youth sentiment. The movie embraces the film making of earlier days and does it perfectly. The old and new castmembers blend in really well together. Kilmer's scene really brought tears to my eyes.
I have a soft spot for Mark Rylance and this movie only made that spot a little softer.
Fantastic finale to another great season. To think I stopped watching after the first two episodes of season 2. Glad I gave it a second chance and realized I was so wrong! This show is fun, smart, cute and sometimes even shocking. The theme song works so well for so many scenes and the cast is just wonderful.
This show deserved a fantastic finale and they freaking did it! I'm really gonna miss this show.
Much better then what I expected after seeing some of the scores online. The story is a bit predictable but none the less enjoyable. Mikkelsen is a worthy replacement as Grindelwald and Jude Law getting more screentime is a very good thing. Newts character is being pushed to the background a bit, but I actually think that this was the right decision. Supporting cast is very likeable and all get a decent amount of scenes.
A good Predator movie. The character matches quite well with this setting. I would have given it an eight if the Comance would have spoken their native language Numinu or at least with a bit of an accent. Hearing them speak clean modern English took away a bit of the immersion for me.
A pretty fun movie with a likeable cast, but it's clear that Netflix is massively overpaying on these movies and that's a bad thing.
I love Pixar movies but this just wasn't for me. Where most Pixar movies are for all ages, this one really focusses on kids if you ask me. For me as an adult there was not much to enjoy.
It's like a B-movie Matrix variant on a high budget. The absence of Laurence Fishburne is the biggest thing the movie can't overcome. His replacement isn't up to the task and brings nothing special to the table. Jessica Henwick is a very likeable actress but without a good story her performance falls short as well. I did like Jonathan Groff as Smith. There will never be another Hugo Weaving, but if you're open to it Groff does a good job.
It's okay but really forgettable. I didn't like any of the songs in this Disney movie and that barely ever happens. The story is nothing special and it misses really likeable or funny characters.
