Love Lies Bleeding

What an incredible script, very well structured. A story that grips you from start to finish, very tense and very well done. The performances are magnificent and the connection between the characters makes everything so much more exciting to watch. In addition to these aspects, the movie is set in the 80s, which gives everything a special touch.

When I imagine the perfect entertaining movie that is extremely fun to watch, I imagine something like this movie.
It's got a great horror story that's also fun, lots of twists and turns, great characters and performances, all the elements that keep your attention the whole time. In addition to all this, it also has the feel of an 80s movie, but with a modern style, everything here sounds efficient and very cool.

Godzilla Minus One

Perfection, everything here is magnificent, starting with the visual effects, they're stunning, it was an Oscar more than deserved. The story is very good, the characters are so well developed that you become attached to them. The script is very well done, nothing is forgotten, as is the direction, which dared to create something really different. This movie is a true experience of how amazing cinema is, Godzilla is amazing.

A dystopian ambience serves as a backdrop for this story, which is very interesting, with lots of intrigue and suspense.
The performances are great, they really elevate the plot. The development of the story could be more dynamic, sometimes the changes and twists sound exaggerated, a greater objectivity would make the movie more captivating.

Adorable, interesting, poetic, intriguing, dark, loving and a little scary, as well as good characters.

An acting show by Caleb Landry Jones and his interaction with dogs.
The movie has an incredible script, a story that has many layers and keeps you gripped from beginning to end.

Noryang: Deadly Sea

The historical context of the naval battle is great, the story takes a while to get going, it's all a bit slow at first, but once it gets going it gets much better. The battle scenes are stunning, the effects, the environment, the costumes, the whole look of the movie is great. All the dynamics of the tactics, as well as the development of the battles are incredible.

The Coffee Table

What an agonizing movie, it's an anxious pace from start to finish, it's disturbing and tense. The performances are awesome, the character dynamics drive the story very well, the text is great, as is the story itself, very original. The direction enhanced the striking scenes, with expressions and cameras at a frenetic pace following everything closely, a truly perfect movie.

Sick of Myself

The movie has a good story that captures attention through curiosity, because it's interesting to know how far it can go, but because of this expectation, I found it a little restrained, and there are also some exaggerations in the acting, but overall it's a good movie, made more interesting by the dynamics of the main character. The development of emotions and thoughts is highly valued, and these are the highlights.

Lowlifes

This is the situation where there is a reasonable idea, nothing original, but it could be put to better use, but it doesn't manage to. The movie has a good starting point, but the story is very poorly developed and the performances are weak and exaggerated, unconvincing. In some scenes, the dialog is empty and adds nothing to the story. This is a movie that fails to captivate.

Challengers

The story is reasonable, nothing surprising, the highlights are the great scenes of the game, with incredible takes and the performances that are great and drive everything, I thought the choice to emphasize expressions and gestures was great, it made all the difference. On the technical side, I found some of the editing strange, some abrupt cuts made the movie slow to engage, the soundtrack was one of the most out of place I've ever seen, the songs had nothing to do with the scenes, at times they were louder than the lines, this hindered the experience of the movie.

Tusk

The movie starts off very interestingly, with a bizarre story that gets more and more bizarre, it's even distressing and disturbing in some parts, but there are problems with the editing, many scenes sound out of place in the movie, as well as several anticlimactic situations, trying to be "funny" where it makes no sense. Some excessively caricatured performances don't help to improve the story either.

The Last Kumite

Pure nostalgia and fun, a very specific movie, made for fans of martial arts movies from the 80s and 90s, part of the cast and production team made some of them, which makes it evident the passion with which the movie was made. The fight scenes are brilliant and the actors are incredible in their choreography, the story is simple and straightforward, totally driven by nostalgia and the aesthetics are wonderful, it really feels like I'm watching a lost movie from that era, awakening the teenage feeling again.

Primer

A great idea, a promising, complex story, mostly narrated by the protagonists and which could have incredible moments, but the execution ends up not yielding a good result. The biggest problem is the text, which lacks fluidity, is confusing and incoherent, the ideas are thrown around randomly, the performances are average and don't manage to attract enough attention, all of which makes the movie boring.

The Cannibal Club

The story is very good, mixing elements of politics, irony and terror, all done in a simple, straightforward way, with a good text and twists. The movie doesn't go too far with camera movements or expressions, nor does it delve too deeply into the characters, but it has great make-up and practical effects, leaving a more rustic atmosphere, generating tension and attracting a lot of attention.

Drive My Car

It's an introspective film that uses its characters' expressions, feelings, poetry and lines from Anton Chekhov's play Uncle Vanya. The rehearsals for this play take up a large part of the movie and are very interesting within the dynamics of the story. Because of this characteristic, the film ends up being long, perhaps a little longer than it should be, but it is a movie with extensive scenes and offers an experience of much reflection and observation.

Villains

The movie has a few exaggerations, some nonsensical and even predictable solutions, but it also has moments that amuse, some bizarre scenes and in general it holds your attention from start to finish. The performances and the character dynamics are good, the ambience and the colors give the film a certain charm, the story is simple and doesn't bring anything new, but it does its job of entertaining.

Friendly Beast

Too tense, a raw, visceral movie, totally focused on the development of the characters, and this is where everything gets better, the performances are great, very real, the story is great, it has a script that works well. The direction focused on striking, close-up scenes, emphasizing expressions and lines that are very good. Towards the end, the story seemed to speed up a little, but that doesn't detract from the brilliance of this great movie.

Monolith

The beginning is very intriguing, a minimalist science fiction thriller, practically all made up of stories and in a single environment, this could be something very good and different, but the movie doesn't manage to develop well, at the moment when it could become more complex, interesting and have some surprises, it ended up opting for simple and even too predictable paths, it lacked more script work and better paths.

Uncut Gems

Adam Sandler's best acting work, here he proves to be amazing, as does the entire cast, where everyone delivers great scenes, because the movie focuses a lot on character development, but in addition, the story is very good, a very well developed script and the direction left everything with a frantic, anxious and very tense pace. Definitely a masterpiece.

Saint Omer

A courtroom movie, but the proposed reflection goes much further. The story is strong, mostly narrated by the characters in the courtroom. The movie has a slower, almost documentary pace, as if we were watching the trial. The dialogues are excellent and leave the film with many layers of thought and complexity.

Riddle of Fire

Enchanting, wonderful, stunning. The aesthetics, the photography, the images, everything here is beautiful, the children's performances are great, it's impossible not to get caught up in the movie. The story is very cool, simple and very efficient in its development, it reminded me a lot of the adventure movies of the 80s with children. A masterpiece that leaves a sparkle in your eyes from start to finish.

Chime

The movie is a medium-length film and has a good start, it's intriguing, it catches the eye, but the story lacked more development, everything is very still and little evolves, I also missed a greater delivery in the acting, it lacked some striking characters, this could elevate the movie a lot.

Darkness of Man

One of the most poorly directed and badly edited films I've ever seen, many of the scenes make no sense, others are badly shot, with terrible angles, the story is very predictable and full of catchphrases recycled from other action films. Also because of the direction, the acting suffers, with very poor performances, nothing here makes much use of it.

Last Night in Soho

Beautiful atmosphere and a great soundtrack drive the movie's story, which is very interesting. Some of the paths taken sound convenient and a little forced. Overall, the movie is very gripping from start to finish, with a nice feeling of strangeness and curiosity that remains throughout.

Tom Clancy's Without Remorse

A good action movie. Nothing here is very original, there are many clichés, it's even predictable, but it has a great story development and is super dynamic, something is happening all the time, the character has charisma and manages to hold your attention.

The Seeding

Extremely dense and agonizing, it combines a disturbing story with a stunning desert ambience.
The movie develops in an unpredictable way, always keeping the atmosphere anxious and dark. The performances are excellent, making everything more realistic, more terrifying. An incredible movie.

The Green Knight

A movie with stunning photography, beautiful images that match the story, which is great, very intriguing and as beautiful as poetry.
The pace of the movie is slower, contemplative, it could be a little more dynamic in some parts, but that's not a problem. The movie is well worth watching with attention and admiration.

New Life

At the beginning, the movie is intriguing, but as it develops, I felt it lacked depth and, above all, new elements; everything here seems a bit recycled from other movies of the same style. The performances are good, but nothing that stands out, there's a lack of character development. Most of the time the movie doesn't take many risks, it seems a bit uninspired.

Audition

The movie that starts off slower, but always leaves a feeling of strangeness in the air. As the story develops, there are many unpredictable and interesting twists and turns. The movie could have a more fluid dynamic, it takes a while to reach its climax, but it's worth seeing through to the end.
