Tony Leung's character must be the dumbest cop ever..
In 1950 Akira Kurosawa deconstructed cinema and build it new.

Why did the mean parakeet destroy the world? ):
Last night I went to see Dune for a second time at the cinema. I had been looking forward to this movie for a long time. Now after watching it, I have to admit that I have more criticism in fields, where Denis Villeneuve is usually a master, than I thought. For example, I know Hans Zimmer's score is very hyped at the moment, and it's not that I don't like it, but I expected it to be different, with unique and exotic samples, with overall more influences from world music, especially arabic - as everyone knows Dune/Arrakis is very much inspired by arabic/nomadic cultures. I also feel like some of the themes in the score don't fit with the ongoing scenes/visuals. Some of the used samples are actually even annoying, like this female vocals killing your ears every 2 minutes There were also some scenes where I didn't quite like the editing or staging. It also would've been nice to have at least one representation of a actor from the middle east, for example in the role of Stilgar. Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of Javier Bardem and he did a good job, but it just would've been right.
Despite all that, the movie is worth seeing and an experience. However, I think that the second movie will decide how I will rate it overall. At the moment I have rated it 7 points.
So, despite whether it's a good movie or not, I think it's an important one, for cinema in general. It's worth experiencing and I can only encourage anyone interested to see it in theaters.

Watching this movie is like taking a class in filmmaking.
If it was released now they'd call it woke.
When they're in Soo-yeons old house and she has the flashbacks and Enyas 'Boadicea' kicks in..
Every frame, every note, every word in this movie is a piece of art.
It's not Mad Max 1-3. It's not Fury Road. It's Furiosa and it's totally ok.
Better silent hill movie than the silent hill movie..
Also all these practical effects
I never read the book so cant compare, but the movie is a masterpiece in editing.
Not a arthur movie but quiet a trip.

Cynthia Rothrocks debut movie and in that a teamup with Michelle Yeoh, how great is that pls, and like many 90'es martial arts movies it's all about the last act and this one slays.
Apparently it's to hot to do shit during day time but ain't nobody no sweating in this movie..
Okkkkk ppl killing and torturing eachother over the control of a, and I shit you not, hentai anime studio might be a stretch but I still like the movie, lots of the themes like capitalism, corporate espionage, dark web, human trafficking, sexism, tech bubble.. hentai cough are more relevant than ever. Although made in the early 2000'es the cinematography, editing feels actually more like a 70'es thriller, with a few glimpses of film-noir. This all sounds more exciting than the movie actually is but nevertheless I liked it enough.
Basically hentai minus tentacles and rape.
Jokes aside, its a brillant concept. One of the freshest take in horror of the last decade. It has it flaws and is not always well executed and acted but overall good enough.
As a Jackie Chan fan rewatching some of his early movies is not a good idea. Basically you can skip almost the whole movie to the end, There are 2-3 comedy scenes which are still nice but there are no really good fight/action scenes until then. But yes the end fight is still one of the best ever. I know how this is still a fan favourite and has a cult following but I think thats cause off it's freshness and success at the time of it's making and mostly cause of the fights in the end. I still like it but like I said most of it didn't aged well for me.
john cusacks shirts gave me more horrors than the movie.
Top model, with top hair, top skin, top teeths, no body hair (in the 60es!) tries to convince us she grew up all alone in the marshes.. Also the crawdads didn't even sing.. Also wtf are even crawdads?
So i started watching Animal, cause I thought, can't be that bad and i'm 20 mins in now and until now it's a disgrace to the filmcraft in almost every possible way.. And Ranbirs acting probably is so far one of his worst performances..
wtf did i just watch?
Makoto Shinkais live action wet dreams come true.
It's hilarious how movie buffs always massively critcise (some definitely justified) and sometimes even hate Shinkais works. He gets so often the "pedo vibes" comments (also justified) cause his characters are often a adult and a minor, but Paul Thomas Andersons gets a free pass cause yea hes Paul Thomas Anderson..?
If you can get past that and think of Gary as an 18-20 year old cause he totally acts like that - and funny enough everyone in the movie interacts with him like hes acually an adult person, nobody ever really questions his age - then it's a nice movie about friendship, soul-mates, love and patriachism, with some awkward scenes (I'm looking at you Jerry Frick).
