The relationships between the eight, amongst themselves, and with their surroundings are what makes this series so good, but the plot needs some serious work.
I got nothing against gays or transgenders before watching this show. Now I feel so fucking bored with all that "not like everybody else" crap. I mean, I get it, those two fucks, but honestly, WHO GIVES. Why do I need to hear the same exact message again and again trough out the first like 5 or 6 hours of the show? Are they making it so just to piss the viewers off or something? I came here to see some science fiction, look on the various problems trough out the nations and cultures and maybe some heavy action, but all I got so far is huge amount of mummbling about gays and transgenders
I am allready starting to fast forward through parts of the show.
An incredible technical achievement. Roger Deakins's cinematography elevates this decent war story to something that is one of a kind. There is hardly anytime to catch your breath. The score is fantastic. I need to see the making of documentary.
Seeing this again it is still very impressive. The story is fine but the way we are always with Schofield and Blake with almost no relief makes this super tense. The score really is great.
Great show! I love to see how the story develops, we are getting closer and closer to the timeline of Breaking Bad.
Man, what a poor episode, lackluster after lackluster. If this is the culmination of the time and interest myself and others have invested into Game of Thrones all of these years, then it is truly unfortunate and disappointing if not almost bordering on an insult.
Such a shame that this will be the legacy of a series that once took the world by storm with its brilliant storytelling and exhilarating plot twists, hardly recognizable anymore when it parades around in a pathetic shell of its former self.
I can't say I'm excited nor even interested in the remaining episodes, at least not when this season has taught me time and again to lower my expectations as much as possible, but I hope they will at least respect what this series once was and offer a conclusion worthy of its story. sigh
They try to mimic the atmosphere of Blade runner and Total recall, so you get action and effects. But i really didn't get the story and the motives of the character, and some things don't really make sense to me.
Watch it once if you have nothing else to watch, but don't get your hopes high.
7/10 for me.
"Ain't this a wild life"
A very small and slow story about a family. Paul Dano really does a fine job directing his first film. I thought the cinematography was great. The way they use closeups and the framing really stood out to me. Jake Gyllenhaal and Ed Oxenbould both give really good performances but it is Carey Mulligan who is on another level.
With this season, Bojack Horseman has cemented my opinion that it is the best TV show of all time.
As i'm watching this for a third time my attention goes to the use of color in this movie. The three primary colors, red, blue and yellow. How blue is for Mia, red is for Sebastian and yellow is for change. The use of purple for the skyline show how well the two blend together. Green for how Mia changes and orange for how Sebastian changes. This a spectacular movie that Damien Chazelle directs perfectly and I cannot wait to see his next. The soundtrack is great and I still listen to it. 10/10 and one of my all time favorites.
Such a unique film, so dreamy and yet so grounded. I fall in love with this every time I see it. 67%, trakt.tv community, you must be insane.
