You know the nightmare you have where it’s all shadowy and dodgy, and you’re trying to escape, or hide, from something you’ve done, and you wake up realising the nightmare was an exaggeration of some past sin…
Well, Ripley is the nightmare. Ripley is the thing that Emerald Fennell wished Saltburn could be.
Apart from the little hints of wokeness, it’s a good solid tv show.
A Series of Unfortunate Events… but for adults.
A strange choice of genre sub plot narrative; murder mystery… but would have been best to stick with sci-fi thriller.
Another Netflix fail. More woke, more stretched out stories, more pointless subplots. Can’t believe that White Rabbit is connected to this junk. No matter how hard it tries, Netflix can’t come close to Stranger Things.
Beautiful television. I rarely enjoy tv series, especially with the onslaught of Netflix and Amazon crap. I enjoyed Stranger Things and Black Mirror… But this, a thing of beauty. Brilliant story, great acting, beautiful cinematography, well crafted. It’s similar in a fashion to Westworld, only far less convoluted and way more intriguing. Hats off to Ben Stiller!
