That hand will forever stay on the wall.
Good episode with great quotes like Captain Cold's: "This isn't my first prison break"
Though the story as a whole is not something new (it can easily be compared with Mad Men or Breaking Bad - aka common man is smart enough to make a place for himself in the world, gets rich and powerful in his area of expertice but somehow ends up empty and wanting something more), this is just so perfectly told that it doesn't matter.
The lighting and the music of course are the kings in this kingdom but I predict at least an Emmy nomination for Bobby Cannavale and I already really like our "Peggy Olsen Sandwich Girl". We should be happy that we have some of the industry greatest people sharing their art with us. Martin Scorsese is a God and he directs the shit out of this pilot (just like he did on Boardwalk Empire, which also had tremendous soundtrack and Terence Winter involved). A full experience for the eyes and the ears.
A politician can't resist making promises he can't keep.
Why do I keep watching this shit? This is for like 8 year old girls or something? Every single frame of the series is so utterly stupid!
Finished binge watching the series and wow, what a great series it was! Very true to the original tone of the comics with some great references to the MCU and Netflix Daredevil series. Can't wait to see more of Jess in the Defenders show and hopefully in future upcoming Marvel Netflix series!
I give it a 10/10 for Nick Offerman's performance in this episode. Quit fantastic.
I'm tired of these "London 1975"...5 seconds..."New York Present Days"...5seconds..."Prague Present Days"...5seconds..."London Present Days"...5seconds...
Francine has McGregor syndrome, just like Clock King did in Arrow and Alfred in Batman and Robin (the one with the ice puns). McGuffin syndrome, ect.
All that season 1 did wrong, in a nutshell.
Ugh. The writing and acting, so bad. The cheese is thick and stinky.
Great episode! The villain is perfectly played!
Good to see some of the "history" being played out in slo-mo in the beginning of the episode. Is this the first time that the "speed force" term is used in this series? Very nice!
