Love this show so far. I personally think the story is a little silly. Hard to believe they would all have adapted so well too being blind. Funny though how realistic the whole religious stuff is though. How they believe is a bit on the drastic side but when you're brainwashed you're brainwashed I guess. Highly recommend to you and anyone into science fiction. Really cool take on what could become of the human race down the road.
human body can literally withstand so much shit.
as seen in this episode, it's terrific, horrific and shocking to see them willingly accept a fucking radioactive duty which can fuck their life up pretty good but the KFuckingGB won't take international help. what a fucked up world. we need better international relationship across the globe to survive in such catastrophic events.
Humanity must strive for a better world from every small aspect to survive as a species
fucking make the whole world pop a tab of LSD and melt into oneness
Actually not a bad pilot episode to a show, has some cringe dialogue here and there but I think some of that is done on purpose, it's also surprisingly more humorous than I thought it would be. Hopefully this show gives a lot more for Penn to be able to do acting wise, they have an interesting premise here and I hope they build on i well. This show could ever become another awful 'edgy teen show' or actually something great given time, we shall see.
A good start to the season. They didn't waste any time setting up the "why he did it" question. Not enough of Carrie Coon though.
Just disappointed in the use of Scott Glenn as the Ed Harris Needful Things character. Not one mention of what happened in Needful Things.
So why is his character even in it ?
Still that might have been the best episode. Sad, weird and pretty well done. But what the hell is going on ?
Looks like Shawshank is gonna have to reset its "Number of Days Without an Incident" count back to zero. Elsewhere, I've always been a Scott Glenn fan and he continues to turn in a terrific performance here. And finally, this one, more than any of the first three, seemed to arrive at Castle Rock via a David Lynch detour.
Cause I'm currently to lazy to write a detailed, serious opinion about this show, I am just gonna keep it to the following: I just love how some moments in the show just make you feel like "What the fudge?" in such a satisfying way!
I want to "touch" up on the part where they fist bumped; this is just my speculation, but it seems dangerous to even interact with the kid in the cell, and touching him would be the catalyst that would drive you completely mad as if the kid is in control of the body. I have an inkling, and imagine what would happen if Molly were to touch Henry.. Maybe she did that one time, and that's why Henry has no memory of the murder. What if both Molly and the kid has the Shining ability, but are completely opposite of one another.
It's very similar in feel to another older show that I'm a huge fan of (Twin Peaks <3), similar roles too, and I expect more characters to show up and stir things up. This first episode starts off very slow, but I have an idea of what's going on, and I can't wait to see how it all unravels later on.
