Please don't suck, please don't suck, please don't suck...
An underrated Bond film. People like to make fun of the title. Whatevs. I'll admit the script was hurt by the strike, they did what they could, it's the shortest Bond film and Craig's least successful outing. I still like it, and a revisit is always worth it for the GREAT song, and that motorcycle flip Bond does in the beginning. So badass.
I have a question for those of you who are familiar with the us military tradition: what is the purpose of the 3 bullets that has been put into the us flag which has been given to the wife?
Much better than the trailer made it appear. Still, "at least it's not porn", followed by [insert boob shot and sex scene]. What? If the show is made by women, about women, does it need to pander to men? Or is topless Allison Brie for the all the girls in the audience? Seems to undermine the set-up about how few challenging roles are really available to women.
Just give Dave Filoni free reign to write/produce whatever show or movie in the SW universe he wants. Mans a fucking genius.
Weak and drawn out compared even to the first one.
Things I liked:
* Trippin' in Mirkwood,
* Barrel-ride,
* Lake-town,
* Dialog between Bilbo and Smaug
Things I disliked:
* NO SONGS!!1!
* 3 of the 5 major plot points are rushed through, culminating in a drawn-out battle/chase scene at the end that, after a while, becomes boring and stretches the suspension of disbelieve to its breaking point
* the added female lead is only motivated by her affaction for two members of the male cast. If you can't handle realistic female characters than leave them out.
Also: HFR+4K+3D makes prostetics look like what they are: rubber :(.
Beautiful story and stunning visuals!
Great, underrated movie
This show is inhabited by broken people. It's depressing and sad, yet the final scene was so sweet.
Please don't make a third season. That was the perfect ending.
What a great idea to leave that plank with nails on the road!
The hell with that, the same suspense at the end of each episode, extremely good episode, I dunno how I am gonna wait for the next episode now XD
There is a lot of physics out there, I think it may be the paralle universes or the wormholes.
And of course the famous Amos quote
I have no clue what Holden is doing.
Me neither.
I wish that I can tell ya I've freaked out... but I am not.
Not even a little?
I haven't felt fear since I was 5 years old.
Man, you don't go through life without feeling fear.
No, you don't.
I felt like nothing happened in this episode. Then I realized it was the finale. Yikes.
DONKEY BALLS I loved this episode :)
Really enjoyed this one, here's my random thoughts...
The last scene broke my heart.
Jane Fonda deserves an Emmy for this!
That final fight scene was better than all the fight scenes in Arrow.
okay, let me get this straight: It's not the best movie ever. It's no LotR 2.
But: When the Movie starts and you just watch the first scene, you are IN the movie. Totally! Storytelling, smart pacing and a genius Ian McKellen. Also Martin Freeman as Bilbo is just lovley.
I watched the movie as a normal movie. no 480p and no 3d and i missed nothin.
Great Actors, great movie.
9/10
Every single episode I hate Chris and his stupidity, and hope he dies.
It's the best of any of the Star Wars movies for me. Hayden Christiansen may not be a great actor but literally every other actor involved is great, and Ewan MacGregor is amazing (It's also worth noting that Harrison Ford is literally the only good actor in the originals but I won't get into that now). The story for this one makes more sense than any of the originals and adds a level of politics and historical/mythological background that is completely absent from the originals. The action and effects have obviously gotten better with time and because the people involved with Star Wars have so much experience. This movie is exactly what it was meant to be the Fall of Troy combined with Julius Caesar and a little bit of Oedipus thrown in there just for fun.
Aaah, I see you've brought your albino. Coward. I left mine at home.
Aww that final scene.
I always think "well this episode was nice but.." and then they have some lovely thing in the end which leaves a nice aftertaste
The beginning of the final season of Madam Secretary was bitter sweet. This has been one of my favourite shows and it will be so sad to see it end. Like WEST WING it presented the third arm of the American administration as reasoned and rational (a complete contrast to the current American reality). I've loved the characters, the performances, the story lines and the high ethical bar set for their world of politics (so high, one might be forgiven to classify this in the genre of fantasy). One last great story arc ahead. I give this series a 10 (hopeful) out of 10 and it has been on my Top TV Series list, since the beginning. [Political Drama]
"Carol, call the gardener"
Start with a jump and sometimes remember how you got there, which is fine
Everything I wanted it to be and more. Perfectly cast and excellent soundtrack by Hans Zimmer. Epic Sci-Fi at its best.
Can that be true? :flushed:. Someone still gets the better of Red; that can’t be so... there has to be more to it. The truck has to be full of fakes.. a tracker... something...
Anytime a show wants an Israeli agent, they call the same actor, Eyal from Covert Affairs.
I am one of those people frozen in place in the concert hall, unable to function because I'm so enthralled by Carole & Tuesday's singing.
I am so amazed by how well balanced the tone is for this show. And the sprinkling of absurdity and humor is just the right amount of levity against the seriousness of all the other plot threads.
This episode felt like a feature film in episodic form.
Everything about this is very high quality. The main characters, only one episode in, are three-dimensional and engaging. The introductions and initial world-building happen very quickly then get out of the way for the story. The score compliments the atmosphere of when and where they are, and it feels like real effort was put into writing the in-universe songs being played, as opposed to half-hearted jingles thrown together like it is common to see in similar situations.
This could easily be the best show of the year, though I am a sucker for the science fiction setting and the real-world musical references. I highly recommend you give this show a shot if you can.
The Radiation Dead would be a good name for the show. Alicia should take more care, what would happen if she got blood in one eye? With the amount of blood she has on her face and neck I'm surprised she has not had blood in an eye. Morgan looks well fed.
