They certainly front loaded the series with some great supporting talent. I was pleasantly surprised to see Scott Patterson (GILMORE GIRLS), Laura Vandervoort (SMALLVILLE and SUPERGIRL) and Canadian acting royalty Tom Jackson. The pace of the series is slow and the writing and acting seems to be missing a director but Nova Scotia was the draw and she’s performing splendidly. It’s a wait and see for me. I hope it is more than just a slow burn seasonal romance which seems to be the genre of Morgan Kohan and Chad Michael Murray (ONE TREE HILL). After this pilot, I give the series a (fair) out of 10. [Romantic Drama]
Anthony really said :nose::nose::nose: SMELL
I was grinning from ear to ear throughout the entire movie absolutely superb and so much fun in fact just complete sexy bacon! 8/10
Fall Guy was great, was fun and ridiculous yet entertaining love letter to stunt actors and the stunt community who deserve more time in the sun, told through a charismatic and action-filled performance by Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. Quality filmmaking - strongly recommend!
Jody showering Colt with praise and Colt is just straight up malfunctioning :joy:, I loved their chemistry.
The Fall Guy (2024) - :heart:x7
You want stunts? You got stunts! Tons of them.
This is a great tribute to The Fall Guy (1981) TV Show and to Stunt men and women everywhere!
The movie was a popcorn munching good time - just a whole lot of fun to watch. I hope they make a sequel or 2 or better yet - bring back a rebooted TV Show.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
The best reference in the movie is a fight dog named Jean-Claud which understands commands in French only.
Otherwise great movie, very entertaining. And yes, stuntmen definitely deserve their own Oscar nomination.
The movie and pop culture references are some of the best. The acting and script was brilliant, I almost cried afew times. I don't know if something is wrong with me, but the amount of genres this went through was intense. I loved the action sequences and stunts, of course. I'm so glad David Leitch, or anyone for that matter, finally made a stuntwork movie. Behind all the great action stars is a stunt person. Banging soundtrack and costumes. Also, can we actually get a Metal Storm movie, i loved the plot of that as well as this. The experience of everything felt so 4D.
What more could anyone want? Every minute has something to offer and is a joy to watch. Loved it and stick around for the mid credits scene..lol
I really needed that kind of movie today. Light romance, cool action, great stunts.
And Emily and Ryan really looked gorgeous and had a nice chemistry ♡ would watch again.
I loved every single minute of those Two hours, Very entertaining, I think these heros behind the cameras who make the unreal real should have their own category in the Oscars.
A fun to watch movie ;) I do recommend for the comedy and feel good.
It takes awhile before stunt man Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling) is on a mission to find a lost movie star. When the movie gets moving though it is definitely a blast.
It’s like half the Nice Guys, half Drive. Since Gosling was also solving a mystery in the Nice Guys and a stunt man in Drive. He’s about as lively and hams it up as much as he did in the Nice Guys. You can throw a little Ken in there as well.
The music choices were great in the movie too. Especially hearing Kiss throughout.
I can't help it.
I've grown up with the "original" fall guy. It was good entertainment.
This movie tops it. Good story, great action, awesome fan service, very much love for detail, and lots of laughs.
A must see, IMHO.
"Did you just turn Jody into the sexy bacon?"
"She's been the sexy bacon all along."
Went in with zero expectations and The Fall Guy was a lot better then expected. And a totally unexpected plot twist, lots of action and the right amount of comedy thrown in. Totally enjoyable, and another brilliant part played by Ryan Gosling, he played the role perfectly with the right flavor, and Emily Blunt was the right person to play his costar in the movie
Honestly a totally fun movie and shouldn't be missed in the theaters due to the crazy and fun action scenes.
Stuntmen/women should get Oscars!
2 hours of comedy and entertaining action wrapped in a love letter to all the stuntmen
Dearest reader,
As you can tell by the intonation on my writing, I have finished watching “Bridgerton”. And, oh my!, how I loved the writing of Lady Whistledown, specially as it is read by our amazing Julie Andrews.
“Bridgerton” is described as Jane Austen meets “Gossip Girl”. Therefore, this series tries to portray how young women have their debut when they reach majority. Following the Bridgerton family, we experience the lives of families during the 1813 social season. The Bridgerton are a family of 8 children, all named alphabetically. This first season follows Daphne, the fourth child, but the eldest of the girls, being debut and being considered the “diamond” of the season. However, Lady Whistledown, the unknown gossiper of the season, started calling another young lady the “Incomparable” of the season. In one event, to resolve both their problems, Simon proposed a solution to Daphne, being pretending they were courting, for Daphne being viewed as wanted to suitors, and for mothers’ not harassing Simon.
I considered this Netflix series very interested. Not only do we learn about the social events of the Regency Era, but also about the difficulties young women suffered during this era. Firstly, they needed to marry or they would be “aunties” for all their lives. They either married to be well-off during the rest of their lives or, the rarest, they actually married for love. However, if one wanted to “fly” and study, for instance, they could not. Eloise, Daphne’s sister, does not want to marry, but she is obliged, for, without a family, she will not be succeeded.
Also, we learn about the matters of love and family, Love is a choice. A choice which involves sacrifices, being one of them choosing to have or not have children. Nonetheless, when one wants to marry, they carry not only themselves, but their families and their family problems. To be successful in one’s marriage, one must be honest and choose to love the honesty of one person.
I vividly recommend watching this series if you love period drama, Jane Austen and love stories.
I literally could not care less about season 1. Season 2 was life changing. The enemies to lovers story line was so FANTASTIC it actually had me on the FLOOR. Jonathan Bailey is INCREDIBLE. He & Simone Ashley delivered their chemistry on a glass platter & it DID. NOT disappoint. Everything was perfect & magical. It’s a piece of art. Period
A really good drama series that many people will love if they love dramas. I think the characters are all so unique, and I hope they continue to find new ways to differentiate the love stories of each Bridgerton.
I LOVE THIS SERIES IS THE MOST WONDERFUL THING I WATCHED TOTALLY DESERVE TO SIT AND WATCHED IT LIKE 1000 times
I'd love to be the bridge between the tons of these 3 brothers
A little cringey but also creative, fun and relatively unpredictable. Love the modern twist. Very likeable characters and beautiful costumes!
This show is great! I usually don’t care for period pieces but I absolutely LOVE this. Rege-Jean is
The only thing I didn't like is the fact that Whistledown's identity was revealed ahead of time
God those flashbacks got me:sob: that bee scene at the end tho was amazinggg
Loved the pall mall scene, loved the bee scene, but the highlight were the flashbacks to Lord Edmund, his wife and young Anthony
"i know what i must do" - said every man, about to do something without actually thinking about any of the consequences
i want to give edwina a hug
