First time viewing, thanks 70mmpodcast for putting it on my radar this month. A lot of fun and the horror elements are light enough that I think even people who hate the genre can get into this one. Watched it in 4k, and it looks phenomenal, would recommend!
The epilepsy warnings are no joke though, strobing lights are a good 80% of the entire film.
Not too bad, has some properly tense scenes in it. The main character manages to escalate every possible situation she's in which I ended up finding a bit annoying, but it did help the stakes of the film escalate up to the climax of the film. After what they did to the dog, all of her future actions were justified under John Wick rules.
This was a bit too goofy for me personally, a lot of the scares felt cheap. 2010 had some pretty mediocre horror going on though, if I had seen this when it had come out I'm sure I would have liked it a lot more than I do now
No matter how many times I watch this, seeing him wedge the cart in that narrow hallway cracks me up every single time
"Yeah I get through here about once every 50 years... Make me a reservation."
This was actually a lot better than I expected it to be, but don't be fooled: this is far more action than horror. One of the few movies about vampires that I've enjoyed seeing, perfect film to kick off my October with.
Sidenote: thank God we've stopped ending films with freeze-frames.
The car-locking hacking sound effects are amazing
Not a fan of this one, I get the message but found this pretty boring to sit through as one of the longer shorts of the night
This was my second viewing of Warsha, I liked it even more seeing it a second time. Really strong social commentary, beautiful cinematography, and a strong performance from the main actor. By far the best of the Manhattan Shorts
Liked this a lot, the colors in this film were beautiful and Elina was great as the main character

Gorgeous movie about a very serious problem, strongly recommend seeing if you ever get the chance
I like the idea of the plot, but I found the writing and how it set out to make its point more cringeworthy than enjoyable
This one made me feel kind of gross, so it accomplished what it set out to do. Acting was great in this short, I liked a lot of the cinematography as well

Not much of an overarching plot, but the performances were enjoyable to watch. Watching a man struggle to cut something one-handed for 2 uninterrupted minutes gave me flashbacks to working in a kitchen and watching someone slice their hand open doing that
Very different vibe than I expected going in, actually really blown away by how good this film was!

The rollerblading still holds up and is awesome to watch. Lots of funny bits that stand on their own, but they felt a bit disconnected from each other and the overall story of this film. Not my favorite Chaplin but still a great watch.
I don't know why, maybe it was a different team doing the animation for this one, but it is a lot choppier visually than the other episodes, like it's dropping frames. I thought it was an issue on my end at first, but no, just S3E2 for some reason.

Cute short film, the visuals were obviously outstanding but the story does give you quite a bit to ponder if you really stop to consider it

I laughed so hard near the end of the film he just does a "I didn't bring my camera in, so here's my memory of what happened" and then just describes this ridiculous scene of a possessed woman sliding around an old church.
I knew very little about League of Legends beyond some character names, but this show absolutely blew me out of the water. It's clear they spared no expense in the animation and writing of this show, every episode kept me captivated and wanting to watch the next one. The TV-14 rating is a bit of a misdirect, the show tends to be pretty adult-oriented and can catch you off guard with some story elements.
I hope they continue adapting the universe they've created into stuff like this, they've clearly put a lot of care and effort into their characters and world-building.
What could be wrong with being happy?
I greatly enjoyed this film, as another commenter mentioned it is very similar to Her, one of my favorite films. The premise was simple and we aren't given too much detail into the technical aspects of a robot that's tailored to your personal preferences, but the movie carries itself on the dialogue between the two main characters and their struggle to connect to each other emotionally.
If A.I. is a topic that interests you, I would highly recommend watching this film. The pacing was fantastic and there's some decent humor scattered about it.
