I will never say that I liked season 8, it was a complete mess. Considering the massacre of the people of kings landing it was obvious that Cersei will die in that process. Hopefully, Danny faced the consequences and had to die, John Snow did justice and saved thousands of people for Daenerys.
I gave this episode a rating of 8 just because of the fact that all those actors and the production team did a fabulous job in creating such a masterpiece for nearly over a decade. The writing was really poor this season and by the last episode, it was quite obvious and unfortunately, our prediction came true, which is shameful for such a series which was once well known for unpredictability.
I loved the ending, It did justice to all the character living or dead. Ser Jaime's story arc beautifully came to an end by his lover Brienne, Tyrion got what he deserved and Jon went with the wildlings; which in my opinion was a good choice he made after all he fought with them, he saved them from the white walkers and has earned their trust.
Game Of Thrones will always be my favourite despite the disappointment due to S08.
This is the most disappointing season of the entire series. First two episodes were a complete failure followed by the worst of all episodes that I have ever watched in the series so far. S08E03 was supposed to be something that can give an insight about The Night King's intention but he didn't speak a single word, and I have no idea what Bran is doing in the story if he has nothing to offer.
Even Hodor's death in season six explained about his past. That episode alone was way more emotional and intense than this entire disgusting season.
The worst part of all is the death of Night King, I expected something more meaningful form his departure after all he was the centre point of the entire series since the first episode of the series.
This YouTube video makes E04 more interesting and delivers true justice to Night King https://youtu.be/k7m6HP95EDM
I CANNOT BELIEVE SAM SURVIVED THE SERIES. I have been scared for him every minute of every episode of every season. Ah, my beloved. You living happily ever after is the best gift this show has given me. Farewell, Samwell Tarly. The best, the greatest, consistently most honorable, most kind, and most brave character in the show. I will miss you so much. :frowning2:
Anyways. It ended how I’ve always said it should end. The Iron Throne destroyed because no one was really worthy of it. The twist of Bran as King was something I hadn’t thought of but appreciate greatly. Not the best season, but a good and satisfying finale.
Man, what a poor episode, lackluster after lackluster. If this is the culmination of the time and interest myself and others have invested into Game of Thrones all of these years, then it is truly unfortunate and disappointing if not almost bordering on an insult.
Such a shame that this will be the legacy of a series that once took the world by storm with its brilliant storytelling and exhilarating plot twists, hardly recognizable anymore when it parades around in a pathetic shell of its former self.
I can't say I'm excited nor even interested in the remaining episodes, at least not when this season has taught me time and again to lower my expectations as much as possible, but I hope they will at least respect what this series once was and offer a conclusion worthy of its story. sigh
