I wish more musicals would get released like this after their runtime in theaters for people like me who have no way to see them live.
this had me hooked from the very first episode and it keeps getting better!!!
I'm completely hypnotized by and in love with this show.
In addition to being visually pleasing, with every detail, from costumes to scenery, carefully taken into consideration, it's also shaking us up on the inside. Its "between the lines" messages, and wonderful acting from the entire cast that delivers so many emotions in their facial expressions alone, are all sublime.
I find myself looking forward to weekends and waiting in anticipation for what is to come. Great job everyone, and much love. <3
The first episode was awful, 2nd not so bad, but it does actually get better and worth watching.
They’ve gone for a strange stylistic way to film the show, which is probably the hardest part to get past, but you get used to it.
It has some great actors in, but unfortunately the script is poor. Which makes it difficult for the actors. Although, there are some poor actors mixed in with the good.
It actually got a fairly decent storyline if you keep going. Which is a shame as it could have been a really good show if produced etc by someone else. I’m very confused to why they took this approach in the show, it makes it seem low budget.
It comes over as a children’s or family show in a lot of ways, but in fact it’s not given the brutality, swearing, gore etc.
I’m glad I pushed past the things I didn’t like and focused on the story/plot.
Well, I finished it. I wanted to like this show So. BAD. I love fantasy shows. I can tolerate police procedurals so long as the ensemble is good. And it wasn't entirely awful. I did finish all six seasons after all. But something just never clicked here. The cast never really gels, although there are a few true standouts (Monroe, Rosalee, Renard, Wu. God I love Wu and his much needed "we all know this is ridiculous" wisecracks.). The writing feels really lazy half the time. Characters make dumb decisions constantly to force the plot to some awful place that it really doesn't need to go. And then in season four, they basically reboot in a failed attempt to get somewhere more interesting than monster of the week. sigh It's just a trainwreck of a show. But worth the watch for fantasy buffs, And Sasha Roiz fans. Dzam, that man needs his own show.
As others have stated, this is an OK show. Not something I would recommend to others, unless they need something to kill time with. The characters are forgetful and not great acting. However the shooting locations are amazing, just breath taking scenery.
This show could be skipped. You're not missing anything.
What a boring ending.... Don't even waste your time on this crappy show
if you've ever wanted to see scarlett johansonn choke on a cake then this is the film for you
Damn. Just got back from watching Hereditary and I don't think that I've uttered "Holy shiiiiiiiit" under my breath so many times during a single movie. This movie took creepiness to the next level and really delivered as a horror flick with minimal "jump scares". I'd definitely recommend watching this with a nice big audience because it's without a doubt an "experience" you won't forget.
The reviews for this film are average (at best). The way Robert Downey Jr. delivers his lines is really cringy at times. Not sure what that accent is supposed to be, but it's ghastly.
That said, it's a kids movie with a grown ass man talking to animals. There are kids movies that appeal to adults (with thinly disguised "adult content"). This isn't one one them. Find some kids < 10 and watch the movie. If you don't have any kids around .. do yourself a favour and watch something else.
This movie in a sentence , "If Bollywood had a bigger budget."
(No offense, but there are way better movies you should be watching instead of whatever this was. Also, Bollywood does make some gems like Article 15, so don't crucify me please. Aight, wash your hands, stay indoors and watch smth better)
There is same crazy stuff going on in this stupid movie. It has some style and is entertaining at times. I appreciate Daniel Radcliffe taking this wildly different roles.
Not quite up to the usual Pixar standard.
The comedy and characters ultimately save the film.
It touches you in a way that only Pixar can, but it did so in quite a predictable way, I thought.
Moreover, it feels a bit slapped together, as if they’re making it up as they go along.
6/10
The producers really struck gold with this one. One of the craziest stories with some of the most batshit insane people you have ever seen. I mean seriously, if this was a scripted show I would stop watching because the characters are too fucking crazy and unbelievable. But this is actually real. What The Actual Fuck.
Meh. Just a boring YA fantasy show. All the typical tropes and bad stuff associated with that genre you're going to get with this show. But without any of the good or interesting parts. Just boring main characters, forgettable villains and bad acting all around.
But it does have great cinematography and set design.
I'm probably not the target audience for these kinda shows anymore but I do still enjoy them from time to time when they are made well. This one just isn't in almost all aspects.
i wouldn't classify this as science fiction as there's no definitive proof for anything occurring within the setting. not enough screen time for the poor horse considering it's a movie titled horse girl tbh.
most importantly: i would watch the tv series within this movie in a HEARTBEAT i mean its flawless procedural trash very clearly making fun of supernatural. when is netflix gonna make that??
Have now watched the whole series and it didn’t disappoint!!!!
The first 2 episodes are the best
Episode 4 just didn’t do it for me
But the series was brilliant and I hope we get more to follow......
Oh and make sure you do watch all of 1-7 and then sit back and glow in brilliance of episode 8
I thought it was a beautifully told if simple story... I’ve been reading critics reviews and am wondering why some people even bother if they’re going to compare everything to GoT, and then complain because the show isn’t a perfect season.
I think it’s as good a first season as anyone can expect from any show that’s not Battlestar Galactica.
The costume design was impeccable, the set design so wonderfully rich, which is impressive considering there is so much grey. Whoever was responsible for the lighting did an amazing job of giving it a complete personality in this narrative.
The performances were a little uneven here and there, but what first season has a perfect possession of every character? None, that’s how many.
All in all it’s a glorious entry, and I love the way The Fae are presented, and as gritty the allegories are with Nazism and the nascent authoritarianism and white nationalism on the loose in the U.S., I appreciate the tone and structure of the politics and how it’s played out from the top down.
I enjoyed this tremendously and am looking forward to more yarn for this story...

This series is absolute nonsense from the beginning and it’s terrible written but I still watched the whole thing. I wonder how the devil himself can be fooled by teenagers SINGING ... worst scene ever haha terrible, really, but probably will keep watching the next seasons.
Whip It is a great mixture of a coming of age story and a sports comedy. There are some aspects of it that are pretty formulaic but the characters are good enough and the film is fun enough to get you through the hurtle. Ellen Page anchors the whole film with a performance that is just as good as her effort in Juno and Kristen Wiig and Marcia Gay Harden are awesome too. I would like to see Drew Barrymore take another directing job because this is a very underrated movie.
PS. Jimmy Fallon has the best role of his career in this movie. Fallon alone is a reason to watch Whip It.
The conclusion wasn't entirely satisfying for me but I really enjoyed the suspense and the build up to that moment.
I'm usually really bad at predicting where story is going, but this has been dull ride and unbelievalbly predictable one, not good when your plot device relies heavily on supsense and mystery.
for me it's a weak starter episode. but we'll see. it's anthology so everything can happen.
This premise had a lot of potential. I wanted to like the movie, but was really disappointed in the end.
It was unfocused, the worldbuilding felt inconsistent and the different parts didn't seem connected.
A futuristic Berlin skyline, retro interiors, contemporary cars, and buildings didn't fit together in this context.
The acting by the three main protagonists was alright and had many good parts,
but was hampered by a rather bad, uninteresting plot which included some dull dialogs.
It sometimes just felt randomly diced together.
It wasn't a terrible movie, but it was just too flawed to be enjoyable.
I was actually surprised that this was actually a quite decent movie. It’s not scare at all but the story is quite good and even the execution is almost all the time good as well.
As with all horror movies I was expecting some kind of weird twist somewhere in the middle but there wasn’t. It’s really predictable but altogether way over my really low expectations.
Was also surprised to see Uma Thurman in this.
The second half of the show kinda drags a bit - the way Korean shows add scenes that don't add much to the story, and you can tell the scriptwriter changed things to accommodate the TV ratings - but the first half of the story, and some of the side story lines (e.g. Lee Jaekyung conspiracy, and the detectives) make the show worth finishing to the end.
A total blast. An homage to several old horror flicks, that's hilariously done. Great characters, great dialog, awesome effects. I love this movie, and it still holds up.
Latrice's runway look was sickning but that's it.
it's still an incognito who will be the winner, overall the cast has been inconsistent
I loved this challenge. And I'm surprised they managed to complete it, I do not think I could! I would not know where to start were I facing a blank room like that. It was a very complicated and fun challenge, and I hope RuPaul uses this idea again in the future!
Now, I'm not sure what was up with that lip-sync, but in regards of what it came down to, I can only say "Good riddance". Ugh.
