Awww naw why ya'll doin my man Chimney like this. Breaking my heart here.
Can we not normalise hitting men as an expression of anger/frustration/sadness? If Buck was a female character, it would absolutely not be acceptable to depict her being punched out of nowhere, yet we see it time and time again with male characters.
And we certainly would not see other characters react to the situation as "He got you good" if Buck was female.
It was a good episode, especially the end. However I think that it's weird that they started the episode the way they did, then say that it's a week earlier, but finish the episode still in the week earlier without catching up to the beginning of the episode. Why bother having it in the beginning of this episode then? I guess we'll catch up to the beginning of this episode eventually, probably in the next episode. I think that they should have numbered it part 1 and part 2 and aired episode 1 & 2 back to back then if that is the case. Still a very enjoyable watch though.
What a twist. Based on earlier events during the conversation between Carla and Eddie, it seemed like Eddie might have ended up falling for the woman and her son. They made it seem like he was starting to second guess his feelings for Ana. But man, they thew one hell of a curveball at us. Then the end of the episode was the knockout blow. Eddie has to pull through!! I hope Maddie is okay, and I hope Bobby and Athena can patch things up. Wow, what an episode!
I already knew that was going to happen because I got spoilers but omg...That shit hurted...i am not ok
Kind of wish Hen’s mom passed, because that whole arc is boring as hell.
Athena is overreacting about Bobby sponsoring someone.
THAT CAME OUT OF NOWHERE, NOT EDDIE
What is going on?? Why did this happen?? OMG! Everything is messing up!!!!
OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED????? IM NOT OK!!!!!!
Its nice to have this type of series right now... there is drama, but almost always there is hope, while i don't usually welcome this ttype of series this one has something i don't know what it is but it got that something and a big part of the series i enjoy a lot, this episode was awesome, we got back story from characters that while they may not be regulars are important part of the show, i really enjoyed that... if i drop a tear or two, i couldn't confirm or deny that.
Sue and Josh are such underrated characters. They’re always in the background helping out, yet the spotlight is rarely on them. I’m glad the writers finally took the time to give them a proper storyline. (Yes, because Josh had that whole date plot and he deserves so much better than that). I hope we’ll get to see more of them.
Also I absolutely love May.
I like Josh well enough, but he seems like an NPC - bland, unoriginal and a filler character.
Man they really had me crying in this episode. Poor Sue is the momma bear of the dispatchers and everyone working to figure out who and why she got hit by the car got me in the feels. But most importantly, Josh's character growth on this show has been great. Im glad that we got to learn how he became a dispatcher because he's come such a long way on this show.
awww they gave the baby a Korean name!! that's so sweet
That freaking song “To Build a Home” started playing when the fire started at the other house from the other show (I’m trying really hard not to spoil anyone here), so I immediately expected the worst. I’m still sobbing here.
Solid episode - I still skipped all of Hen’s parts though. Also dad of the drunk driver was just a terrible actor haha. The fake crying was really inversion breaking.
I cried the entire episode. Probably best episode of the season so far.
I legitimately thought Maddie was Buck’s birth mother for a better part of the episode. She was acting quite maternal towards him, plus their mom’s unsolicited remark about Maddie’s age. I’m glad the writers didn’t go that way, it would have been seriously messed up.
May is becoming one my favourite characters.
911 does not air until 4 days time, why 2 X 100 per cent votes. Have you seen it yet no? Ffs please rate once you have viewed.
Pretty sure if they held a radio over the pipe it'd reach down that distance, and if not, wired comms is a thing.
What a fantastic episode. I don't normally enjoy episodes that revolve around one character but this one was great.
All of the backstories I've seen so far were great, but this one was truly special. Wow, what an episode.
There is no heterosexual explanation of that Buck and Eddie scene... :___
While watching the episode I had to check whether it was Saint Valentine's or not. It was a really weird episode. Lola at the beginning, wtf? And the fact that Norman was Arzt from Lost only made the whole thing funnier.
Maddie and Chimney are too cute together. I mean, they even have great chemistry. I'd love to see more of them. but I'm afraid the husband thing is gonna come to bite them in the ass real soon.
I laughed my ass off with the gas 'n sip robbery. I had to rewind it because I was laughing too much.
I love Bobby to hell and back. He's way too awesome. Still don't picture him and Athena together. I loved the family dinner. Glad to see that Athena is as tolerant as her ex. and I'm starting to love that kid on theirs. His sass is way up and I love it.
I'm glad Bobby moved on, but not with that damn ginger reporter! I too thought that atthe other end of the line was her at the beginning. Jeez, I even thought it could be Abby, but not that earthquake girl. And I've got to say it, I can see that happening.
The old gay couple made me sad
First time seeing a romantic comedy type episode on a TV show. Lola was the best LOL
Man, I loved the episode. Please, tell me I'm not the only one thinking "This show can't get any better" only to be surprised by next episode.
Athena is the best thing this show has. She's unbelievably awesome. The only bad thing about her is that, to my eyes, Bobby and her have no chemistry whatsoever. But maybe I'm biased since I prefer both of them to date people outside of work.
I loved the subplot with Hen. How sweet is that kid of her? I almost panicked when she stepped away instead of helping Eva. I couldn't believe it.
Maddie is no Abby, and I don't think she'll ever be. Besides, I don't really like Jennifer Love Hewitt, yet she surprised me today. Her storyline was quite good, showing how not to be awful with people who are. I got a bit confused with Gloria's first scene. That compilation of her answering 911 calls was shown ad if it were amazing, but it wasn't to me. I thought she was being an actual ass and not being considerate at all. Glad Maddie could show who she really is. I'm expecting the whole husband thing to hit anytime soon.
Why the opening and closing narration Grey's Anatomy style this episode? It doesn't really go well with the style of this show at all. I hope they drop it. Not very happy with the choices they've been making this season so far.
OMG! I am loving this Buck and Tommy dynamic. Please give me more. Don't do Buck dirty for the 100th time with his relationships like FOX did.
