"My name is Barry 'pep talk Allen' and I'm the most emotional speedster alive. When I was a child I saw my mother being discouraged by people. My father went to the psychologist for being depressed. Then an 'I'll go talk to her' made me a pep talk deliverer. To the outside world I'm an ordinary talker, but secretly I use my power to feel sorry for myself and encourage others like me. And one day, I'll find the one who made my team depressed and get a spot to give Ted Talks. I am the pep talker"
I have no proof, but I'm pretty sure this episode just broke the record of most pep talks in 42 minutes.
There were so many that I feel bad for not being given one. At this point, I'm pretty sure that Barry's new Speedforce will be created by the power of pep talks. That's gotta be the opposite of the negative Speedforce, right?
At first I was a little bit confused as to why everyone acted like they didn't know Hartley was gay. I mean, we were told back in season 1 so, he having a right-hand man, 1 + 1.
The Atlantis name drop got me excited, until I realized that the finale is next week and they'll probably send just Cisco on a side quest and we'll get to see none of that.
I'm disappointed that Camila's only defining feature is that she loves Cisco very much. After months working together, I would've thought that Iris and Camila were closer.
I loved how Nash was beginning to explain Crisis to Hartley and Barry just stopped him with a "He's his twin". I also loved the subtle hawkgirl reference with the "barista".
Now, that "the one who sent me wants infinite velocity", was it me or did it sound like a Zoom thing? Maybe I'm overthinking it but wouldn't it be great that Zoom and Reserve Flash had made an alliance and were working together sending clones of Godspeed to steal Barry's almost non-existent speed? First, it was Godspeed stealing the other Godspeed's velocity and kidnapping a bunch of innocent people and then, he tried to kill one of them with Thawne's helicopter hand. Or maybe that "We" just means the real Godspeed. But it would be great to have both working together, especially if RF is played by Matt Letscher.
Moreover, since Jay was the one who taught Barry how to throw lightning in season 2 and we've seen in this episode that Barry threw a lightning in season 1, maybe that means that he learnt it from another source and that maybe Zoom didn't actually come to earth prime because he wasn't the one who taught him. Again, I might be thinking too much into that, or I might be confused, who knows anymore?
Another question, how the hell did Barry find Joe when he was in witness protection? If he weren't losing his speed, it would be believable that he stopped and had a peak through every window to check if he was there. That was a very random Joe cameo.
