I hate when they dont finish shows. . .
It is impossible to capture the essence of infinite love, sublime mercy or unrelenting grace. When faced with even the shadow of these things, we walk away with more questions than answers. This film can't do it. The book tried it's best. We only truly see it in Jesus. But, eventually you have to find these answers in the submission of trust. We need to learn to trust God. That being said, I'm glad for films and books that point us in the right direction. Let's keep trying to reflect these big truths. I give this movie a 7 (good) out of 10, for a decent adaptation and some fine performances, especially Octavia Spencer and Alice Braga. I give the book a 9 (superb) out of 10.
It's a lovin' bowlin' kidnappin' must have seen all time classic movie. The Dude Defines! But don't pee on his rug, man.. just don't do it!
The German nihilists, the feminist artist, the porn manager, the crazy phedophile, the crippled fake business tycoon, the Vietnam-war obsessed psycho and off course the Dude: a lazy deadbeat lowlife. The Big Lebowski sure has a lot of colourful personages which in my opinion is one of the reasons this movie is one of the best i have ever seen.
This is one of the many masterpieces from the Coen brothers, i wish i could congratulate them myself because they are geniuses. The music, the script and the cast are beyond fantastic. This is a masterpiece that only comes along in movies a few times in a decade. This is one of those movies that is and always will be a cult classic. I cannot say that this is the best movie that the Coen brothers ever made, but only because they made so many exceptional movies. But its definitely high up the list.
My favorite part is Gutterballs, when the Dude has some kind of hallucination. The music was just perfect together with the show Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore put on. I can't tell you how often i saw that part, that was just awesome.
Anyone should see this movie at least once in his lifetime. But once you've seen it i can guarantee you that you want to see it again.
I find it sad that so many people are so narrow-minded that they will not watch a movie that is black and white or, in this case, is subtitled. I feel sorry for people who refuse to watch a movie like Life Is Beautiful just because it is a foreign film. They have no idea what a beautifully acted and directed film this is, and they'll never know what an amazing experience they are missing.
Life Is Beautiful manages to walk the extremely thin line between humor, fantasy, and tragedy. Sure, the film is clearly comedic, but nevertheless it manages to very effectively communicate the tremendous losses suffered in the Nazi concentration camps and has scenes at least as intense as any scene in Schindler's List.
This is one of the best films that I have ever seen. It manages to be so encompassing that you hardly notice the subtitles are even there. I proudly cast my vote of 10.
Watching this movie was such a trip. Seeing them happy only broke your heart even more.
Beautiful characters and beautiful story, beautiful on so many levels. I still can't figure out if it broke my heart or if it made it bigger. Maybe a little bit of both.
In first place the movie is well-adapted from the book, maybe in the book you are more aware of the time because of the letter dates, but okay, I enjoyed so far the original story and watching the movie made me feel like when I was reading it adding of course good actors that have made a well played movie. The movie shows so many facts about youth that is hard not to feel identified with some of them. The director is actually the writer of the book, so good point at it. I have to say that I loved this movie so much that I recommend you to watch it.
We are infinite
I thought this was an amazing movie. It's called slow, but I don't think it's ever a dull movie. Really good story in my opinion.
One of the most touching and beautiful shows I've ever watched. It's exciting, mysterious, keeps you on edge till the final episode. Brilliant casting and beautiful filming with some of the best soundtracks create for a perfect show that you should watch!
Perfectly cast. Perfectly acted. A slow burner with enough twists and turns to keep you enthralled till the final episode. I can't wait for season 2.
"Well, if you've totally got the authority to make decisions, totally make the decision to cooperate with our requests. Or we'll totally come back with a warrant. And I might phone ya dad."
Still going strong after three episodes. Better already than the second season imo.
Dammit Mark! If you were going to kill yourself, why couldn't you have killed Joe first? I know he told Joe he couldn't kill him but I still wish he had. That man has no business being free. I still hold out hope someone will kill Joe before this show ends. Perhaps throw him off the cliff like Danny and this show can come full circle.
At least Mark finally discovered that he couldn't have saved Danny that night, but I wish he could have found a way to save himself.
The magic of this show has always been that they keep you guessing till the last moment and they did it again! I am sad to see it end. Everything about this show feels so real. Love how it ended, beautiful.
This show is simply fantastic. Loved this finale, but I'm so sad it's over.
Definitely one of the best crime shows hands down I've ever watched. Shame it's over.
I'll see you tomorrow, Miller
Wow, what a colossal disappointment this was. Just a pile of garbage.
I'm a parent so I had an emotional connection since the trailer dropped... The bad reviews are from children expecting a flick with "splosions" and "boobies" lol
People seem to either love or hate this film. Personally I love it. It's a great story of aliens on earth and their situation is a commentary on real life refugees. Overall the film has a gritty documentary feel that gives it an added edge.
One of my favorite alien movies.
Random person: "Do you always get teary eyed on Snapes death scene ?"
Me: "Always..."
I really am not okay
The Harry Potter films represent my childhood. I don't get tired of rewatching the films of this saga!
This was the first time that I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part II since I've saw it at the cinema, at the time of his release. And there it was the same kind of sadness and melancholy at the end of it, the same thing that I felt when I first saw it and the reason of those feelings is because It All Ends.
Without a doubt one of the best films released in my lifetime. I absolutely love A.A. Milne and I believe that if every adult continues to read the Winnie-the-Pooh stories, the world would be a better place. Like millions of other people, these stories were part of my childhood, and as I grew up, I began to research more about the man who created them. I found the life of Alan Milne just as fascinating as the books. His background definitely played a part in how deep these children's stories are. While they may be deep, they're never dark, which is an astonishing achievement from an author who suffered with post traumatic stress.
Every part of this film works wonderfully. The acting is superb by every member of the cast, the camera work and lighting is second to none. The editing is phenomenal. The music helps create the nostalgic atmosphere of the whole film. But the storytelling is what makes it work so well.
It really is an emotional journey through the past, especially for anyone who cares so much about the people who are portrayed in the film. There's references from the original stories throughout the film (which shows what inspired him to put these ideas in.) But I think even for those who are not as familiar with the books, it is still a magnificent film. It will certainly give any viewer a better appreciation of the Milne family and the wonderful world of Winnie-the-Pooh.
There are two kinds of sitcoms - the ones that you can watch every couple of years and still have good laughs about and then the ones you didn't even laugh at the first time. Now guess what this belongs to.
What I love the most about it is the total lack of so-called political correctness. A show like this would be impossible today because there would be an outcry and commitees beeing formed to get this off the air.
Oh what great were those times.
I can't remember the last time I cried while watching a movie. and I'm not an emotional person, but the ending scene was trully exceptional i just couldn't stop myself. the casting was amazing, Malek's performance was perfect as well 10/10
