This is an honest, spoiler-free review coming from your average fan (not a critic):
I just saw this new marvel film, and I have to say... it's no where near as bad as the critics make it out to be.
Yes there is a lot of dialogue. But it gives the characters a chance to shine and for scenes to breathe.
People call this film dense. I would disagree. Yes there is a fair bit of plot and history told, however I would say that other mcu films have simply much simpler plotlines most of the time.
There are moments when things are just about to become exciting, and then it is interrupted with more dialogue which instantly kills the suspension.
There are a number of plot twists in this film, and some unexpected things happen that I wouldn't have seen coming.
This film has a slow burn, but sometimes that's a good thing. Would I have liked more action? Yes. Was I unhappy with the action we do get? No.
I will admit, going into this film I was expecting a masterpiece, and while I wouldn't quite call it that, its definitely a well-made film, marvel or not.
Oh. And expect to have to do some reading at the very beginning. Kinda reminds me of a classic Star Wars opening crawl.
YES!!!! So glad Chris is gone. The actor and character were both terrible.
Can you please stop rating the episode before it airs? Kinda kills the whole point of this site
This episode is only 32 mins and not 54. Does seriously nobody check these?
I kinda hoped for them to join next season of TWD but another 'sanctuary' is also fine I guess. But again a scene bothered me pretty hard.. They can't open the truck to get the ethanol but shoot through it so they can easily get it from the gunshot holes, but then suddenly they 'lost' the ethanol? Seriously? Just put the damn jerrycan under it and catch some, it that so hard.
That was a strong first episode. Hooked me up front better than most of the Disney MCU shows. Aside from Loki, of course.
I think the part that guts me the most is how quickly the scene cuts from then till (nearly) now, closing the gap once and for all. That's it. Unless...
A normal show takes events like what happened in this episode and includes it in a conversation that lasts 2 minutes. Not The Walking Dead shows though, they make entire episodes out of absolutely nothing happening, make their characters make absurd decisions, and end up right back where they started 43 minutes later.
Omg... Within a snap of the finger, Strand drops the theatrics & becomes... the good guy?!
And then at the end he changes again? :joy:
Whatever... As I said in previous episodes, nothing makes sense any more.
Of course they would destroy the tower. Now they're in search of a new safe space to destroy. AGAIN.
Finally, I think that they gave Charlie radiation poisoning so that she will have died by the time Madison arrives and she won't have to confront her son's killer (yes I will never forget you little :poop:).
That blue lightsaber appearing from the darkness
Watch out, this one has a funny post-credits scene.
All those great audio clips from Marvel movies and from history… and they just had to add Greta Thunberg.. why?
Best thing about the episode was Max's fine ass. Props to the wardrobe department.
I'm so done with this show. Just the same thing, over and over and over again. This season was a chore to get through, the plot progression moved at the pace of a snail. Maybe it was bad all along, I don't know.
i get why people hate skylar now, I really do
"The accumulation of those little despairs is what makes a person an adult"
I feel you
I can't believe all of that happened in just 11 minutes
Why does nobody notice a man with red eyes and claws
They made Morgan look pretty stupid in the beginning of this episode. At last minute is when he mentions that he knows where to get a fetal monitor. They have been there for how long, and Grace has been pregnant for a long time before that, and now you want to go fetch it? Just plain stupid.
What the hell was that after-credits skit?
Correct air date is January 9th. A special was broadcast on Dec 26th (Barto's Secret Room)
Anyone saying this episode was “the same old same old” is out of their mind. While this episode wasn’t incredible, it was so damn refreshing compared to recent episodes of The Walking Dead. Season 9 was incredible, but the show started to really suffer in season 10 (right around the death of Siddiq). I’m actually excited for next weeks episode, a feeling I haven’t had for like, a year and a half.
[6.3/10] Ehhhhh. I used to really look forward to Fionna and Cake episodes, because they gave us a fun spin on the familiar, but now they just feel tired, and it seems like the show has run out of gas on the concept. I liked Finn’s resignation to the weirdness that Ice King basically writes fan fiction about them, and seeing the gender-flipped versions of characters like Abra-Ca-Danielle and
The Queen of Ooo
is pretty fun, but the main story didn’t really work for me.
I have to admit, I raised an eyebrow when “real Fionna” showed up.
I kind of like the reveal that she’s basically a cosplayer, and dressing up like her hero gave her confidence -- a sweet story. But all the references to Fionna and Cake being a TV show or something, making them real in some way, just feels like too much for something that should stay a fun lark for the show rather than something to try to fold into the mythos somehow.
Overall, the episode is mainly fine, and there’s some amusing enough Ice King antics, but I’m just kind of done with Fionna and Cake concept, and I think this development is a sign that the show doesn’t have much further to go with the idea.
Absolute masterpiece of cringe comedy. This episode was so real. Except the "let's just go back" part. I would never be able to admit defeat like that. I'd be sleeping on the beach before I went to that idea
I have to say it... Seriously what was the point to showing that poster other than being just a big flag of virtue signalling. The show itself has been a beacon of multi culturalism. That should be all of what we need from a show and entertainment. I have to agree with others this episode was a big step up from the last season and to see some old faces.
I hope everybody is having a cheesy day
this was worse than the previous season.
I get DE&I and all but there is no way a deaf person would’ve survived this long.
