So adoption doesn't exist on Thailand or what?
He was my favorite character, it's so sad they turn him the bad guy but tbh this episode was better than the whole season so far!
Excellent premiere! This is the first time that I didn't get bored with any scene watching a BL Drama! Every actor was good and I like all the characters. First time a serie doesn't get boring with all of those childish scenes, this is way more mature and with a really good plot.
Kyouka's part was bittersweet. Atsushi's gave me mixed emotions: guilt because I played down his character's trauma, irritated because the headmaster's intentions does not justify his abuse- Atsushi is who he is (strong and kind) because he consciously makes the decision not to inflict the same pain he never should have experienced in the first place! I really felt for him and all the complicated emotions he felt though- he has a right to feel every single one of them, although acting on them is a different matter altogether. I hope he eventually finds inner peace in his own time and manner.
I like how this episode is a parallel to the pilot, and how the answer to this mystery can actually be figured out from hints dropped throughout this episode and what we already know about this series's lore.
I was plenty interested in this one at the beginning, but once the main character (Lena) joined up with the group of girls it slowly made its way downhill for me.
I found this under a thriller genre list and was expecting the sci-fi aspect as well from the (very) brief description, but not the horror. The other characters came across as so flat and almost; I dunno, generic and cookie cutter like? Standard, overused, vague personalities. I suppose the writers didn't feel like putting any effort into them. I couldn’t remember their respective names; I kept getting them mixed up when I didn't just forget them entirely. (Not much of a spoiler right here; I just like to try and allow others to make up their own minds about some details and not be potentially influenced by what they've read beforehand.)
Things increasingly became ultra weird and creepy and wayyy too long and drawn out. The last 30-45 minutes were the worst. I was getting bored and anxious for it to just be over already. The ending was essentially a non-ending; a big build up to a two second non-surprising surprise.
As a big lover of rainbows and iridescence, I was a bit disappointed that “the shimmer” and its effects turned out to be so horrifying. I was hoping for the possibility that it was just a misunderstood phenomenon at first and a mystery to unravel, but actually be good for humanity; not destroy it.
I’m skimming over other reviews on IMDb right now and while the movie has a notably decent overall rating, it seems I’m not alone in feeling that this was tedious as hell to get through. Many didn't feel that way and loved this, but many also hated it. I felt that Ex Machina (done by the same director) was a decent film and I chose to watch it a second time. Under the Skin has also been mentioned alongside this film. While I rated that a 6 for various reasons, I didn't actually care for it personally (more like a 4) and wouldn't give it another go. I don't suppose that helps you decide whether or not to watch Annihilation for yourself, but maybe? I also read this was based on a book and that the film finale was drastically changed from it. I might look into it out of curiosity.
Oh! And how could I forget? In order to throw in some sexuality/bare skin they put in an utterly pointless scene where it's revealed that the main character was a fucking cheater. Her partner in crime loved his wife though. rolls eyes
Well this was really bizarre. It's one of those movies that you know is going to be crazy, but after it's done you realize that you actually had no idea. Anyway the movie is great, and actually has some pretty cool messages, besides being completely nuts.
So, if you feel like watching something different and disturbing, but at the same time hilarious - this is it. You will not regret it.
i stopped hoping for anything with this show just bc of disinterest but well when i do... the writes just keep doing the opposite, mainly i think bc they love keeping the OGs (i mean the characters who are here many seasons, not from beginning) the longest they can so they drag and drag everything with unnecessary drama to after many seasons finally get them together. I'm sure they gonna drag down the Jo/Link relationship as they did with Owen/Altman (never fan of them but the will they/wont they were their only nice moments even dragged to eternity for it being boring as hell just the second they got together), I wanted sth fresh. Jo had a nice chemistry with the patient although it already started to be a little too much.
I soo miss Andrew DeLuca. I cannot fathom who can like Nick, he is so blant.... maybe its just really Mer getting older and I cant understand but the last time she felt alive was during the good times with Andrew :(
Also, the plane scene was funny for me bc i completely didnt get PTSD from the great plane crash of GA bc i didnt care about any of the characters in the plane. They made me disinterested in my last light in the tunnel which was Amelia.
That's shocking for me to say but I'll be watching the 20th season for the new guys. Adams is cute and the Reign actress with my fav Shadowhunters character? I need to see more of them. Tho they seem to lack depth in comparison to the wedding girl which has the most screen time i think.
THE WAY THIS SNUCK INTO MY HEART.
Good 3-part show that never gets bogged down or mundane. I didn't know anything about this stuff - happened before I was born, but it's quite interesting.
Ian Campbell / Duke of Argyle was a financial parasite and just went from one rich woman to the next. If he tried this in the 21st century for sure someone would have "capped his ass"
8.5/10
This movie was dumb and honestly kind of bad, but it was bad and dumb on purpose and I loved every second of it, so that's okay. Amazing performance from Mr. Cage, it takes skill to do a whole movie with no lines at all and still convey personality. Beth Grant was fantastic as always, and everyone else was suitably over the top. It was great, definitely keeping it around to watch when I need a laugh.
Just going to say I want this year to end as nice as possible, please!
Great episode, the animation was so good
The two of them holding hands in public.. so adorable!
I had been trying to find something that would top Love Sick ever since I finished the last episode but there's no need to look any further - I've finally found it!
"Honestly, Love Sick isn't as good as people say" — yes, I can say that much after watching Make It Right The Series.
I can and I should, so here it goes:
Make It Right The Series is so good! The series has it all... boy on boy action is not just a foggy dream here, it's real and it's juicy!
It's still not juicy enough, though. You, me, the world, we all need season 2 ASAP!
Go Dawson!!
Coincidentally, we have Boden dating momma Scott from Teen Wolf here... and at the same time Peter Hale as an IA dbag in Chicago PD. Glad to see those faces from Beacon Hills now in Chicago hehe
I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH!
Macabra, espeluznante, bizarra y humor negro. Lars Von Trier arruinó mi noche de sueño.
You've got to love dark comedies. I found it to be quite enjoyable I particularly enjoyed Lars' take on Dante's Inferno. However, it is apparent that Lars used this movie to indulge himself, perhaps a little too much.
Interesting story, and I liked the directing and stylization (pay attention to the cold to warm color grading). The story was a little over the top and unbelievable at times, but it was still overall a good web drama.
The one glaring plot hole for me, though, was the fact that Ae Jin was a super successful influencer (to the point brands paid her to promote their stuff) so if she was as self-conscious about her appearance as the story set her up to be, I don't really understand why she didn't just get plastic surgery. Not only that, her family lived comfortably enough, so I'm not sure why this route wasn't ever even considered. It could have been brought up and discarded, for a number of different reasons, but it wasn't explored.
But I enjoyed the final message of "it's ok to not be perfect" in this age of overly edited social media pictures and impossible standards of beauty, and that your true friends (and the people that matter) will like you just as you are.
A police film that perhaps has more ambitions than what it finally manages to create. Heavily influenced by the texture of Korean thrillers, it leads to a somewhat confusing story that feels more atmospheric than truly elaborate. As the investigation becomes darker, it also progressively loses its pacing, and conveys the feeling of wanting to be more than what it finally is. Special mention to the excellent design of a poster that references Edvard Munch in an unexpectedly appropriate way.
Truly unbelievable story. I hate to imagine a judge in a court of law act so biased and not allow the defense to defend their case. The fact that these brothers haven't seen each other in over 20 years is a sad travesty. Great show. Highly recommend
People are sleeping on this movie honestly
The introduction of one of the greatest TV series characters of all time: Alfie Solomons!
The thing about taking the corpse out of the coffin...
And the magic of space, I loved it...
Make him a key....
The muffin thing seemed too much, even for Mash...
And falling asleep in the middle of a fight LOL.....
Tremendous spells...
Ended in a great moment....
Seeing Wahlberg's childhood, and how his teacher supported him....
Well to look forward to....
Best episode so far, I much prefer the cute side than the mafia side of it, plus Porsche throwing a wood penis at Kinn was just sensational. Kim and Porchay's interactions are still awkward though
That last scene elevated this entire episode for me sawry I'm easy to please like that (seriously though it was beautifully shot, and the emotional beats were perfect idk what else to say)
Save, there is only one possible way for a happy ending if Takamichi becomes the leader of Toman. Mikey is a fighting god but not stable enough to lead.
