Writing is absolutely trash. After first 10 minutes of fellowship of the ring I felt more attached to Gandalf and Frodo than I do with any of the characters in this show after 7+ hours. Even the cgi is below average. To save this show they need to bring better writers onboard for season 2.
Half of an episode just to build up Sky and Bloom having s3x :skull:
Loved Marwa being all kissy with Guillermo, after the show just established she was wished by Nandor to like everything he likes.
Love this show! Stede and Ed. Jim and Oluwande. Black Pete and Lucius. They really have something here. S2 can’t wait!
First episode or two are a bit too arch/twee in tone, but the cast keep it watchable. Then their chemistry deepens as it goes along, and the show finally blossoms when Blackbeard fully enters the picture. Second half of season feels like the show finds itself in full, so continuously fun and inventive. And that penultimate episode is just flat-out great; the season has been building to that point all along, but I still haven't expected to feel knocked out by how real, sad, and romantic the whole episode is. Damn.
Don't do this to me akghjaghejoe;ija not okay
i am... so sad... wtf
And in that moment, I swear we all were Lucius.
"Don't debase yourself for a man who doesn't have a single tureen on board!"
immediately starts guzzling that tea
Ser Criston Cole is a Dragon rider now!
The combination of extreme realism and violent digital cinematography makes this an otherworldly unsettling experience unlike anything else. I am amazed and disturbed.
Brilliant depiction of Lovecraftian horror. They got the vibes down right. Perfect.
I know it's going to come off as preachy to some, but I don't care. This apparently has to be beat over some people's heads.
"Humanity had all the tools to heal their wounded planet and save themselves, but instead they chose greed and self-gratification over a healthy biosphere and the future of their children." That is so deep and so true.
I can't believe we finally get to have a lesbian Christmas rom-com with all the fucking tropes with hate to love.
And it's actually so good and fun? Is this like cosmic balance for how fucked up 2020 has been?
Also, don't hate on me but Aubrey Plaza as the stunning lesbian doctor kinda stole the show for me!
The concept is refreshing. I love how the comedy, the horror, and the romance blended really smooth. The message is cute. Lupita was outstanding. I recommend this if you want to see a lighthearted horror movie
If Vecna touches a single hair of my Max's, HE WILL HAVE TO SEE ME!! I DON'T ADMIT THIS TO HAPPEN!!!
PROTECT MAX AT AAAAAALLLLLL COSTS!!
Secrets of Dumbledore improves on its weaker predessesor with a more nuanced Grindlewald performance from Mads Mikklesen, as well as a more focused narrative. There are some interesting set pieces here, as well as some surprisingly funny moments and some creative uses of magic that will entertain fans of the series. Unfortunately, it still suffers the faults of a directionless series that should never have extended beyond a single movie. Characters are left woefully undeveloped and plot developments from previous movies are brushed aside, although perhaps for the better. While it is a passable movie, it is unfortunately much too small a step in the right direction for a doomed series.
Pardon my language, but holy fuck.
Easily the best episode yet, and for the sole reason of being an emotional wallop mixed in with some truly stellar visuals and ideas. Doctor Strange has always been one of my favourite characters in the MCU for the sole reason of that he is magnificently flawed - he is arrogant, unable to accept failure, and ridiculously human in his emotions. This episode puts that at the forefront by showcasing a Strange who goes to the dark side in his unwillingness to accept the death of Christine (whose relationship with Strange is done better here then in his own movie oddly enough) and the consequences that lend from that.
It's this emotional center that puts it a league above the other episodes with only maybe the T'Challa episode reaching those heights, and if anything proves that Multiverse of Madness, which is getting closer and closer, is a film to be extremely excited for.
A really cool idea for an allegory, but it could’ve, and should’ve, gone a lot deeper with its social commentary.
A lot of it feels half baked and not all that sharp.
Also, the characters are flat, and it leaves you with a lot of questions that needed to be cleared up (Why do people go to this place? Who’s behind it? Etc.)
Can you please stop rating the episode before it airs? Kinda kills the whole point of this site
Billy Porter was the best thing about this movie, cause he was one of the few people who could sing AND act. I hope I won't ever see Camillas "acting" in a movie again.
LEXI HOWARD DID THAT
The parody of the baseball scene from Twilight (Muse included) fkng killed me.
