Did the father have wives of 3 different asian nations, or was it just crappy casting?
Not watching this anymore. The reason for disqualifying the Netherlands is lame while he was illegally filmed but nothing is done against that!
Anyone else feel the movie suffered from a bit of "unfulfilled potential" in not really closing the full circle of its plot?
Boy the wah wah wah factor continues to rise during the streaming era, the amounts of complains about this movie that are getting those thumb ups are astounding since this movie was honestly pretty damn good. People are far too picky these days, I always dodge reviews with words like "Cliché" and "Dull" in them because too many times they end up just being people who have seen thousands on thousands of movies and have just grown bored with anything and everything new.
This movie worked on every level it intended to, and reminded me of those classic movies you'd watch back in the day a dozen times because they were fun to watch and were movies that were easy to understand but deep enough to not be cartoonish. It's why films like Independence Day were so watched and so many people could recite the lines, and still remember the scenes, but then you'll have some shitty 3 and a half hour long samurai movie from the 50's in the "top 20 movies of all time" on the imdb list. Internet critics and actual paid critics have the same thing in common, a complete burn out from watching too many things, and not enjoying the very enjoyable movies like this one that come along because they follow a formula or don't send a woke enough message. Go watch whatever artsy fartsy new crap is out and get outa here whiners.
Sometimes, cliché as it may be, a movie is just good, and this movie is just that.
Haven't watched it yet. I'm just surprised Netflix produced to show with a heterosexual couple.
I thought they didn't believe in male female relationships anymore
I gave this an extra star based on the fact that everyone in the movie is so dumb just like the people I see outside everyday.
I expected to get some questions answered and I got almost none of them answered. To say a few:
-Why did Thomas do what he did and more importantly what did he do? This was not elaborated on at all other than the few vague lines and scenes we got on the 1st movie
-Why/How did Thomas and Theresa end up in the maze?
-Was WCKD good or bad? (Maybe this was let up to the viewer)
-What was the whole point of attacking the city other than cool explosions and action shots? This didnât seem to be a major plot point especially with Thomas being there, Also, who was Lawrence? and why purpose did he serve other than none?
-How did no one at WCKD know about Thomasâs âspecial immunityâ? Youâd think theyâd test their employees before hiring them given the circumstances.
-Why did it seem like not everyone was on the same page about the cure? That was the purpose of WCKD right?
-Why did Theresa even âbetrayâ them in the first place? I get she just wanted to find a cure but what?
I feel like it had potential but it just devolved into mostly mindless action scenes and facepalm moments ( Like Theresaâs death I mean COME ON ) that just watered down the conclusion of a story that had so much potential and had me so interested in the beginning although I will admit Gally's return did surprise me. Nevertheless we never got the Thomas/Ava moment I was hoping for which, in turn, could have also lead to some of explanations to the above questions. Some of the side characters are just there to tug hearts ( RIP Newt ) or to just be there so you have some known faces to look at. All in all not a terrible conclusion to the saga but also not a great one⊠Just a clichĂ© fest which comes expected with this sort of source material so no mayor points docked there for my taste. Kudos for the VFX, Some of the score and the Direction.

P.S The bus crane scene has been added to my not-even-a-tiny-bit-belivable scenes list cause I donât care how much movies play around with stuff like physics but they gotta at least try for me. Iâm sorry, all of those kids would have died.
It's not that bad. Just the car scene ( when her father was shot) was kinda weird? Idk if that's the right word for that scene. I mean how did the guy know what to do just by looking at her face like c'mon bro u ain't a face reader.
Wow, the ending was brutal!!! Quite a good film though, kept me hooked from start to finish!
Iâm not exaggerating when I say that this movie had ABSOLUTELY no plot. Even less than the previous two ones.
Disclosure: I didn't know anything about the movie prior to seeing it besides seeing the trailer. I didn't research it because I hate spoilers. But in this case I think this was a mistake.
First, I loved the movie. The story is interesting, though predictable, the pacing is fine. During the whole movie the story was building on and when it finally came time to hit the climax - the movie ended! I had one of those WTF?! moments. I was really disappointed because I felt that the whole movie was intro into the story and the action was rising only to end right before the climax. Like I didn't get the feeling of a conclusion. I didn't have the same feeling with any of the other YA trilogies or multi-part movies. It was obvious that another movie will be coming but I cannot stop comparing it to one of those books that don't provide answers unless you read the next book. I hate those books!
So if you are like me better wait for next movie to come out and then watch them back to back.
I really enjoyed the movie, but it left ALOT of questions unanswered. They set up the movie for a sequel that I hope explains what's going on.
Yay, a cop show thinking they have a platform, and spend a whole episode on current social issues.
No one watches an action, military-style cop show to hear about social justice issues for entire episodes. In fact, anyone with negative opinions of police, aren't going to be watching this genre, so it's wasted breath on an audience with little to no issue with police presence. Get back to good, door-kicking action.
This was a very nostalgic watch, it's just a shame it ends in a cliffhanger and no further seasons, would love to see what happens next. It's very inspired by Star Wars imo, sometimes it's too noticeable, but doesn't take away from the fun.
If you take away the height subplot there's nothing really new or different about this movie. It's your standard "awkward Girl has a crush on a popular boy who lies and she has a good male friend who has a crush on her plus the mean girl who likes the male crush is being mean for reasons and then stuff at prom happens and Girl changes and is only then finally happy with herself" teen rom-com. Bleh.
So much things that were not explained. The characters had great chemistry, but everything outside that was lacking. Margaret was not explained. The side characters were abandoned, totally non playable characters. I did not understand why they create a story for those girls and did not make anything out of it, it did not make any sense in the plot. Very bad honestly.
This movie shouldn't have been produced. It is just too much, and the story of this film serves absolutely zero purpose. Nothing. Nada.
Not only it's pointless, but also disgusting. I can't figure out how some people rated this movie more than 4. This movie should be banished from existence and not to be sold anywhere in the world.
I wouldn't recommend this mess of a movie to anyone sane. It's in poor taste, has a bad story, acting. Your really don't need to watch this movie. I am not sure it should be called a movie, more like extreme snuff porn for the twisted and insane. I've seen my fair share of "look how horrible, degrading, stomach-turning I am" movies, but so far nothing came close to this pile of trash.
Conclusion 10/10 great family movie, gather around the TV with your parents, grandparents, kids to watch this carefree, relaxing marvel!
Perverse, twisted and sickening. I`ve seen many twisted and violent movies, but this one I could have done without.
Very interesting concept, was definitely worth the watch, was honestly surprised that a movie filmed in 1 room with everyone standing still could be entertaining. Definitely a "Mind Game" movie similar to Cube and Exam's style.
Decent film but some scenes felt out of place as they took the joke too far and missed the point.
Politically and racially motivated in a poor way to reflect the times. The film also wants you to side with a drug dealer; nope. A letdown for Purge fans.
This movie brings a lot of question in my mind.
1. The story plot is not balance.
A. Focus on black people only. No offence but I love them.
B. Where are the other ethnicity neighborhood?
C. White people as enemy and politicians.
2. Why are the drug dealers become the heroes of the movie?
I guess this is just the start of the movie Purge. I watched all the movies this week and this one, the latest kind lost its hype for me. I still liked the actors and actress. Dang, Nya your beautiful.
Anyways, murder ain't solve our problem but love and unity. Peace all. Shalom.
If you are looking for a movie that pushes a racist agenda, this is your movie.
Disgusting amounts of racism. The entire movie portrays white people as killers, Nazis, and politicians. And black people as 'the saviour's of the community' and a gross romanticsised view of gangs. Pay attention, you won't see one white person portrayed as helping the community, and you won't see one black person working with the government.
I also was disappointed at the amount of gorr or scare. I have seen a lot of shit, and this movie's darkest moments were absolutely basic and boring. An entire island can do anything they want, they wouldn't be nice. Society is far more degraded than this movie portrays, which disappointed me. I was expecting to see some realism, but experienced none of it.
Wait! What? Wtf did I just watch?
I don't know where to start. Ok... First and also biggest problem of the movie is Senator Roan. Her family was slaughtered so she knows the meaning of fear very well. Now, her life is in danger again but her damn gesture doesn't change during the whole movie. Do producers of the movie try to show us a tough senator? If so, they must have forgotten she is a human first... Then she is a senator. I mean she can be killed but she doesn't scare! Roan's gesture changes only when she hears that her competitor will be killed. She doesn't care her life more than the election. You can say it is not a big deal but I've been stuck in that annoying situation during the whole movie. The second problem is that Leo becomes Rambo. Pleaszzze! He was shot, he took the bullet off from his body himself and a car accident happened but he beat a mercenary who was steady as a rock.
I'm just disappointed. Really like the second movie but this one is a disaster.
This crap episode had no other purpose than to allow some Hollywood hack to push their woke agenda. Total rubbish.
Hondo's father is stuck in the past and even after all this time, he prefers to b1tch and gripe instead of helping to come up with solutions. His own son's success doesn't even enspire him. Sad...
One of those movies you're supposed to hate because critics did. However , RV makes me miss Robin Williams. The poor guy made worse before he died.
Sue drove/ran all the way to the hall, why couldn't she have just texted Tommy? Was a bit frustrating to watch towards the end. Prevented being a 7+ because ending made little sense, and was more enjoyable before the blood fell.
