i tried, i really tried liking this, but the story was so inconsistent and filled with plot holes, most of the back story regarding the native tribe was pointless and the story went around in circles ending nowhere. hard pass.
How do you ware the same close for 7 days
I thought this was a solid drama and I was pleasantly surprised by Harry Styles, in fact the whole cast was great. The story wasn't anything especially groundbreaking but it was well done and certainly worth a watch.
A little dry and predictable but not a total waste of time.
what a dumbass movie... the female lead practically threw herself at the cop who was old enough to be her dad and now that he turned creepy she is scared.. wtf
Holy shit, I wanted so much to high five that religious lady. In the face. With a car. [2]
No happy ending. Loved it.
We've seen this film 2012 times and the day after tomorrow it's not impossible that there will be yet another geostorm in a teacup.
But the first two acts of Greenland are more suspense than disaster and the film is all the better for it. Director Ric Roman Waugh does a great job of building tension around how people act in the face of a world threatening event and the sense of urgency rubs off on the viewer.
Sadly, though, the final act slips into the clichés one would expect from a film of this genre, but not badly enough that it erases the good work that precedes it.
I dont know why I even like this teen drama shit, but I do!! Can not wait for it to start
Funny, touching, incredible talent, with a really beautiful and important message. Loved every minute of it. The dynamic between the characters are gold.
Love this DCOM. Itâs a unique theme and itâs something all children should watch
why is Brad Pitt playing his character as if he's just had a stroke??
What an impressive movie, you're on the edge of your seat a lot of times. Humor and grief so close together. Also stay for the end credits you'll get real interviews with survivors!
Holy shit, I was not expecting such an intelligent and subversive plot from a cheap horror flick. Everything that feels like a plot-hole or a piece of lazy writing is actually a subtle clue, and the moments where I finally understood each clue while laying in bed or taking a shower the following morning was so exciting.
Slow to start and almost alienating, but stick with it, and you will discover the hidden secrets of the Marrowbone children. By the end, I was gripped, and was rewarded with a quite unexpected story.
really good! not expecting the end!
There are no surprises if you have seen the original movie but if you havenât seen that, then this remake is good enough.
a nice cliche to watch when you need a happy ending story. also, loved the way they made the group so diverse, especially including sign language as dance moves.
I don't know how many times I've watched this film. One more time I caught it on tv and I couldn't resist.
Viktor Navorski is probably one of the sweetest characters in cinema and one of my favorite Tom Hanks performances.
It's so sweet and warm, I always feel great after watching it!
Started of promising, but fell back quickly to a generic movie. Gets more boring as it reaches the end. Disappointed.
Well, I don't know why everyone is hating this movie so much. In my opinion, this is quite a good sequel, especially since it accounts for the 20 years inbetween the first and the second movie. And they managed to bring a lot of the original cast back.
It's fun. It's well paced. I had a blast.
All the negative reviews I see on RT complain about the lack of depth, which ok, it's not a super deep film, but it doesn't have to be nor is there really the time without substantially lengthening the film or taking away from the action. Personally I think they're probably just a little butt hurt at the jabs it takes at the left or not enough at the right. This is a fun, violent comedy that just roasts everyone. There is some depth in that it points out flaws in everyone, but it's mostly just a non-objective romp.
Indeed, the downfall of the antagonists was the same cause of their entire motivation for the Hunt, targeting individuals based on inaccurate information and justifying their actions by a sense of moral superiority.
The city needs to be protected with big walls from cranks but the rebels have jack shit and are fine? There were so many things wrong in the movie that it's not even funny. If you're able to look past that it's entertaining although super cliche.
The first thing wrong was the train chasing scene. It's infesting how the train could stop exactly where newt etc were. It's in fact unbelievable; which is not good.
Make this a tv series cause i feel like they have a lot of characters to know but not enough time to develop.....make it a tv series asap
I enjoyed this movie. Easy going. Would make a great TV series. Well worth a watch.
I find it sad that so many people are so narrow-minded that they will not watch a movie that is black and white or, in this case, is subtitled. I feel sorry for people who refuse to watch a movie like Life Is Beautiful just because it is a foreign film. They have no idea what a beautifully acted and directed film this is, and they'll never know what an amazing experience they are missing.
Life Is Beautiful manages to walk the extremely thin line between humor, fantasy, and tragedy. Sure, the film is clearly comedic, but nevertheless it manages to very effectively communicate the tremendous losses suffered in the Nazi concentration camps and has scenes at least as intense as any scene in Schindler's List.
This is one of the best films that I have ever seen. It manages to be so encompassing that you hardly notice the subtitles are even there. I proudly cast my vote of 10.
Not the most sensical or realistic of movies, but I heavily enjoyed it. It starts off slow but it quickly gets more exciting. I like how mysterious and powerful the aliens are pictured, you don't even get to see what they look like until pretty late in the movie.
