one of my firsts kdrama , will be remembered , but not even one kiss or one i love you ?
10% Kill Bill, 90% Surf Ninjas. The criminals are all idiots. The arms dealers don't use guns. The cops are all beyond idiots. The romance is trite and most of the "twists" are either immediately predictable or completely implausible. Worst of all, the character of Bruce is cartoonish doofus, and not at all in a charming or likable way.
S3 for me was abysmal, any point watching this season?
Well, I didn't hate watching it but I found the ending super unsatisfactory. Would I rather have my two hours back? Yeah, probably. 5/10.
I tried my best to pay attention, I really did! But 40 minutes of this sent me to the snooze zone. I haven't finished it and I want to congratulate anyone who watched the whole movie. The Little Things is seriously so boring, I felt like it’s never going to end.
The script is just so unimaginative, and there is no suspense that you would expect from a crime thriller. The sound mixing is comparable to Tenet, you can’t hear what anyone is saying. I couldn't care less about the characters. Why did they pick Rami Malek for this? He sound like a British person faking an American accent, was he severely miscast or is he just not a good actor? Denzel Washington plays a typical beat cop who thinks he knows it all but he looks bored, and is just there picking up a check. Jared Leto is doing the most boring and over-the-top “creepy guy” performance ever, his acting was not worth an award for this character.
I thought I had missed some of the plot during micro-naps while attempting to stay conscious watching this film and also checked the Wiki. But no, there wasn't any firm evidence that Sparma was the serial killer and if the murders continue, Barret will know he's been played by Deke in an attempt to save his soul. On further reflection, we didn't actually get to see inside the 'trophy box' until the very end, whereas Deke did. It's possible that Sparma could have cleared it out before Deke went back and realised the evidence was gone, if we are supposed to believe it was ever there. I suppose this makes the ending a bit more clever and keeps us wondering if Sparma really is the killer. If Deke knows the evidence was there, he's okay to fake the hair clip because he also knows the killer really is dead and buried. On that basis, showing us the trophy box contents when Deke first finds it would ruin the 'ending'.
The actors are good and the premise is fine. But its the little things that make a film work, such as good editing, decent writing, and direction that hones in those with a tendency for scenery chewing. Sadly, this film falls down in those areas. It has the feel of a middling 90s thriller, which is of no surprise, as the script was written in the early part of that decade.
Great movie kept me intrigued the whole way through! However that ending will leave you scratching your head.
What a God damn stupid movie - a cop jumping into the car with a suspect, likesay he’s offering him a ride to the gym?! And Rami in this role was a NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :x::x::x:
This movie is made of enormous stretches of nothing between poignant moments. It's long for the sake of being long. When even questions like 'did you set the alarm' deserve a pregnant pause you KNOW the director was at a loss how to make a complete movie of the wreckage before him. I'm sure it's a cult thing and a masterpiece of storytelling, but I found it boring, slow and confusing at times. Can't reccomend.
It's been awhile since I've been really frustrated with a film. I really enjoyed the first hour and a half, but the last 30 minutes or so was just baffling. Let me start off by saying I really liked the cast, and the tone of the film was great, at least initially. Somewhere along the lines, it takes a turn, and the film just detours from there (You'll know what I mean).
Slow and silent burner. Can be confusing. Rami malek doesn't suit the role of Baxter IMO:thinking:
The movie starts off well, but is totally lost after halfway through. It loses its way, it loses the story, it loses its meaning and we lose interest and finally time.
Boring and disappointing. The hole-digging scene was anticlimactic and the pace/music never sped up in a way to build suspense towards the end. Overall very slow and sadly not worth it.
BOOOOOOORINGGGGGGG. 40 minute story, agonizingly stretched out to 2 hours. Honestly felt even longer.
The usual Liam Neeson movie (how can one person keep making the same movie over and over again and they are all hits?!). This one doesn't have a train anywhere in it, so this makes it a bit different from the others. For some strange reason it kept me interested in the movie even though you could drive a truck through the plot holes. If you've got nothing else to watch and you're up to date with the Fast and Furious franchise, then have a look at this. 4/10
Typical Liam Neeson movie, bad. Maybe a 5/10 if I'm being generous. Should've known though.
"The same procedure as every year!"
Feels like I've been watching the same Liam Neeson movie for the past 10 years
Imagine a nation with only 3 FBI agents and a city with only 1 cop. You'd think there would be worse crime there than this script, but you'd be wrong.
The ridiculous stretches made in this screenplay suck all of the fun that could possibly be had in this predictable yet stupid outing.
A short lived CW series, now available on Netflix. Interesting premise borrowed from the 2000 movie, by the same name. I was hoping it would be better. Casting wasn't the issue, for me. There were interesting cast choices but good ensemble dynamics. My issues were 1) that the logic of the time travel was breached too often and 2) they really needed a police procedural expert on set to bring some reality the context. I give this a 6 (fair) out of 10. [Mystery more than either Time Travel SciFi or Police Procedural]. The show was cancelled after the first season but the network resolved the cliffhanger with a short epilogue which you can see here: https://vimeo.com/217260805
9/10 Start
8/10 Climax
6/10 Ending
No baby, baby. If seasom 2 was not confirmed, you can not do this kind of ending.:rolling_eyes::rolling_eyes::rolling_eyes::rolling_eyes:
Quite an interesting idea, with a modern spin-off TV series. There are a few plot holes, but the good acting and tense moments make for a surprisingly decent watch.
An odd twist on time distortion in which, due to the inexplicable appearance of the aurora borealis over Queens, a New York cop is able to communicate via ham radio with his long-dead father thirty years in the past. Completely ignoring the warnings of Doc Brown and Marty McFly, he immediately spoils the upcoming World Series and dozens of important life moments for his father, before the two decide to pair up in search of an unresolved string of historical murders.
The film can't decide if it wants to do the sappy paternal bonding thing or follow a more suspenseful path, and its main plot mechanism is clunky, under-explained and inconsistent. It's also routinely telegraphed from beginning to end, with a narrow scope limiting its potential escape routes and an overdose of father-son baseball allegories. Hackneyed, hammy and haphazard, it plays like a bloated sci-fi short story in desperate need of revision.
Some of the story lines had extremely weak character motivation (others were downright silly), and I didn't much care for Deok Im's character (or the actress, really). I also felt like her reasoning and motivations were not as clear, compelling and strong as they could (and should) have been for her character to have been truly sympathetic. I'd have liked a strong, firm female lead like Hae Ryung from Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung. Someone with a strong sense of duty, morals and purpose, and the sound thought process to back it up. When it came to her relationship with San, Doek Im had the emotional intelligence of a rock.
But the drama is totally worth watching if only for Jun Ho. He really was this drama's MVP and carried the whole thing on his shoulders.
you can either fast forward through this show or just don't bother to start. typical romance plot with a lot a lot of product placement content and lovey dovey scenes. can easily be reduced to a 6 or 8 episode series, no development whatsoever for the ML's complex family situation
The one thing that is perfect in this drama is the casting. Not only the two leads are perfect and the chemistry between them is out of this world, but all of the actors did a awesome job. King The Land portrays very well the friendship of three adult women who've been friends for so long, their moments were some of my favorite, the trip abroad episodes were so fun! And Sa-Rang grandma is the best character, for sure. Kim Young-ok is a treasure, every drama with her becomes instantly better.
The romance was like the fairytale "enemies to lovers", I wish the enemies part lasted longer, but the lovers part was so dreamy full of awwww moments, even thought you could relate to very moments.
It was very fun with some heartbreaking moments, even thought they were not that well explored and I wish some side characters could have more screen time but it was a fun and lovely ride. The final episode was kinda predictable and the worst for sure.
It's very very very fun and lovely. Give it a watch. :)
Watched only first episode for So ji Sub's sake. And I'm going to watch all of it becouse of SJS. To be honest, this show is not good. Poor story, shaky acting, mostly deficient in fun. It's awful. So slow, so cliche, almost meaningless. Seems only SJS's character and dialogues are well prepared, a little fun in his scenes. Rest of the characters do or say something insignificant most of the time. At some point I gave up paying any attention to them becouse nothing interesting come up in their doings or conversations. But whole drama can't be based on only one or two people's success. It doesn't work that way. Most of the crew are overacting. If you want to watch a ghost story, try Arang and the Magistrate. Maybe it's not a masterpiece in mystery but it's better than this. At least it has better side stories and more succesfull cast.
I may be one of the few that doesn't like this as much as we thought, to be honest since this is such an iconic drama I was expecting a lot more, I found myself so bored in most of the episodes, the chemistry between the leads was sometimes good and sometimes not, Gong Shil's character wasn't as strong as I would like, the side characters were just useless most of the time, they barely bring something relevant for the main story wich was full of fillers, I like the first episode most of all because the story was set to be Horror and Romance but then it was just romace most of the time so.. this lost me! Watch it only if you're a fan of any of the three main characters othrwise there are plenty of better dramas with less episodes.
