Out side of the twist at the end, and some incredible intense/uncomfortable scenes, it was a very bloated movie, and I couldn't get over the accents. Why do we have an Australian playing an American, and an American, an Irish, and an Brit playing Russians?
That sucks, I should have read the reviews before inflicting that turnip on myself ...
The dialogues were necessarily written by a college student, everything is implausible.
I want a razzie award for Michael b Jordan, he deserves it so much with his mono expression ...
After all they give us that fucking shit ending?
This series just approved toxic relationship and is so cliche. Why he has to leave her alone? Why they're so cruel with Inho? They can be the worst people on the world without punishment? This series was so disappointing, I can't believe that last episode.
Started ok. Ended up as pile of shit.
This already seems predictable and likely to devolve into a CW-style drama. Clearly there will come a point where love overcomes her predatory nature while in mermaid form.
Imagine a nation with only 3 FBI agents and a city with only 1 cop. You'd think there would be worse crime there than this script, but you'd be wrong.
The ridiculous stretches made in this screenplay suck all of the fun that could possibly be had in this predictable yet stupid outing.
Slow and silent burner. Can be confusing. Rami malek doesn't suit the role of Baxter IMO:thinking:
I honestly tried to like this movie, mostly because of its great cast. But I couldn't stand their shallow motivations, egocentric attitude and silly, sentimental dialogue, that actually made me hate most of the characters (not to mention the cameos from known stars). What entirely lost me as a viewer and made me feel uncomfortable, was a rescue pilot that flees a disaster zone to fly to a far away location to rescue his daughter. I'm a medical professional and I have been a first responder in several critical situations, and I just can say that I truly hated The Rock's character so much after that stunt. After that, I couldn't enjoy the movie, despite the CGI, that I felt as outstanding. DON'T MAKE A FIRST RESPONDER THAT FAILS TO STICK TO ETHICS AND RULES YOUR MAIN CHARACTER. It's such an insult. If you disagree, I'll remind you whenever you need medical assistance and your paramedic, doctor or nurse has to leave the scene of your accident to check on her/his daughter.
Really fun film, 7/10, would have given 8 but she picked the wrong guy; Chris Pine's character was a dick and he was never himself when he was with her, plus it was cheap to put Tom Hardy's character back with his ex wife at the end, just because, like?? otherwise I enjoyed it and I'm not usually a girl who likes Romance Comedies
well.... a excuse for grl pwr content for no reason at all... oh, the vanity and presumptuous hollywood and the horde of brainless people make me cringe.
I'm so torn about this. Hated it when I read about it, like "WTF? Another classic character turned into anything-goes-as-long-as-it's-not-a white-man-just-because-we-are-so-woke-now for no reason at all than just that?" Turns out that Holmes is still allowed to be a white man, but then I don't get why they had to involve him at all. As a S. Holmes movie it sucks since she's not as him at all, just like 007 died when Daniel Craig arrived, but it's still an OK flick I guess. So the rating is a hard one but landed on rating it as a Sherlock Holmes movie since they try to kidnap the name so a four it is since I can't encourage a behavior like this.
They should have given her a background and character of her own instead. Now they just counteract themself by showing that they once again have to take a piggy back ride on an old male character to feel safe for it to fly. Just like the hideous Ghostbusters remake....
Just create something new instead of fiddling with stuff like this, it's just counterproductive to the cause they are out to support.
Competently made, but it gives you nothing interesting to set your teeth in. The storyline has zero complexity, and all of the characters are highly uninteresting, because none of them are properly developed. Cutting to a cute muppet every now and then doesn’t really distract from that. Just do something interesting for the next season, because this isn’t the way.
S3 for me was abysmal, any point watching this season?
Of course americans gotta remake foreign movies, listening to a foreign language for 90 minutes is way too complicated.
A completely idiotic ending spoils the whole movie. NO ONE of the passengers or the driver on the train notices the loud shots or flying bullets. After the train stops, they continue travel as if nothing has happened.
Bad movie. Easily the worst DCEU movie, and it is not even close. It's all over the place plot wise, action isn't good, characters suck, effects suck. I have almost nothing good to say about this movie other than that I almost enjoyed Pedro Pascal.
It's such a shame because I think the first Wonder Woman is easily the best DCEU movie.
[HBO Max] Wonder Woman is a supporting character in her own sequel. So much so that they need to recover a character from the first movie to be her adventure partner. Goofy villains are the protagonists, but the action scenes are poorly shot. The only thing from the 80's are the visual effects. At least, Hans Zimmer believes the epic of the character. This is what happens when a mediocre director becomes a star.
Not a horrible movie, but definitely not a good one. The first half or so was kinda hard to get through and the other half was kinda hard to follow. Besides that the poor accents are a real turn off. Overall I didn’t have a terrible time, but won’t watch it again.
(And if you’re sensitive to torture scenes, like myself, maybe don’t watch it in a theater.)
Enjoyable movie. Lost its way towards the end. Overall worth a watch.
Note: you need subtitles for the German speaking parts.
Poor acting. Unbelievable characters. Boring, predictable plot. Outstandingly horrible sound, with voices absurdly low and music so unnecessarily loud the audio even distorts. Speaking of the loud audio, this movie has a tendency of increasing the volume of the BGM to mask the fact that little to nothing is actually happening on screen (which causes said distortions). Everything in this movie that isn't outright bad, is merely "okay" at best. It baffles me that so many people give such high praise to this movie.
This move sure was... fine.
A tense drama about being trapped in an isolated space: Been done plenty. A movie about the complex questions regarding ethics and AI: Been done to death. A movie about robots and sexuality: Been done plenty. A movie that tries to make you question the motivations of the characters: Been done plenty. A movie about a feminine character using sexuality to manipulate an unknowing male character (and by extension, the audience): Been done plenty.
Does mixing these elements make anything new, unpredictable, or particularly interesting? No, apparently not, but it sure does seem to trick people into thinking it does.
At the beginning it's interesting, the ambientation and atmosphere makes it a little bit creepy and good, but I have to tell that the plot was good till the guy decides to think with his other head, come on, she's a robot. and that plan wasn't very original either, I mean, the typical nerd who gets manipulated by a woman, just that this time is a robot woman. I don't know, I just don't think this was that good.
Until the script loses its cojones and the third act turns it into just another revenge thriller, this is a tense, visually stunning, action flick that also has something serious to say about the ambiguity and futility of the War on Drugs.
-1 for forcing Kara/James down my throat for the thousandth time. I could have easily given this episode a perfect ten because I loved seeing Supergirl and The Flash working together to save National City. Plus seeing Silver Banshee AND Livewire working together, I was in heaven. That was until Barry had to start shipping them too. Why can't writers realize that a superhero, especially a FEMALE, can still be a hero without having to have a significant other? I honestly hope Kara's kiss kills him that's how much I hate this pairing. Of course it won't and it'll make Kara realize she loves James even more than ever before. GAG ME WITH A SPOON!
one of my firsts kdrama , will be remembered , but not even one kiss or one i love you ?
10% Kill Bill, 90% Surf Ninjas. The criminals are all idiots. The arms dealers don't use guns. The cops are all beyond idiots. The romance is trite and most of the "twists" are either immediately predictable or completely implausible. Worst of all, the character of Bruce is cartoonish doofus, and not at all in a charming or likable way.
Well, I didn't hate watching it but I found the ending super unsatisfactory. Would I rather have my two hours back? Yeah, probably. 5/10.
I tried my best to pay attention, I really did! But 40 minutes of this sent me to the snooze zone. I haven't finished it and I want to congratulate anyone who watched the whole movie. The Little Things is seriously so boring, I felt like it’s never going to end.
The script is just so unimaginative, and there is no suspense that you would expect from a crime thriller. The sound mixing is comparable to Tenet, you can’t hear what anyone is saying. I couldn't care less about the characters. Why did they pick Rami Malek for this? He sound like a British person faking an American accent, was he severely miscast or is he just not a good actor? Denzel Washington plays a typical beat cop who thinks he knows it all but he looks bored, and is just there picking up a check. Jared Leto is doing the most boring and over-the-top “creepy guy” performance ever, his acting was not worth an award for this character.
